My issue is:
I purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 on 14-Apr-2011.
I am facing the issue related to the connection to my phone network. After I switch on the phone, I get my mobile network signal for about 30 minutes and after that the "No Service" icon is enabled and there is no signal at all in my phone.
I checked the SIM card on a difference phone and there is abosolutely no issue in getting the network signal.
I tried a different service provider SIM on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and I find there is no issue either.
The problem seems to occur only with my SIM card on this phone. I changed to a new SIM and apparently that also did not solve the issue.
I am also unable to find the "Network Mode" option under the network settings, which I would normally find in other phones.
I tried with the option "Use only 2G network" but that also did not help. I am not using any 3G service at the moment.
I am now stuck in this situation and not able to use my new phone.
I am from Chennai, India and use Vodafine India post paid service.
Hence seeking your kind advice to help me resolve this issue at the earlier.

Hi guys,
I am facing the very same issue.
I contacted my dealer and got the phone replaced.
They supposedly diagnozed some problem and issues a doa on the device
Now, even in my new phone i am facing the same issue
I am using vodafone postpaid and it works fine on any other phone
Also, ive tried my dad's airtel prepaid sim on this phone and it worked perfectly fine for over 2 days
I have tried searching for this issue on any thread for sometime and finally found this

I too have the same problem.
The Network often gets disabled.
i have to either switch off and on it (or go into flight mode and come back) for it to get enabled.
My Sim Card is fine since when i use it in a nokia phone i never get this problem.
Whats worrying me is that this looks more like a hardware problem ... i recently updated my firmware through kies from froyo (2.2) to gingerbread (2.3.4) ... still the problem is persisting.
Many guys are suggesting to contact my dealer .. but i purchased this phone through letsbuy.com. So that option might be a hassle.
So guys any info on this issue ...?

Hi Folks, same problem here in Brazil with S5830B, no service all the time! any ideas????????????????????
U can try to change the modem of the firmware with Odin Multidownloader... try to put an unbranded rom... that works for me in my ACE.
I hope your trouble is silved with this option.... check in the forum of the developement of galaxy Ace a forum for flashing the galaxy ace...
The problem is you guys didn't post in the device-specific forum .
Try flashing a different modem through ODIN

My issue is resolved once I updraded firmware of my phone thru Kies tp 2.3 from 2.2
also you can try following:
dial *#2263#
select GSM mode and then select 900/1800 (or may be if that does not work..select other bands. my was fixed when I selected 900/1800 after I got few emergency call only issue)

My Galasy s3 has a firmware issue. Since my phone is new i dint registered it to Kies, i need to go to Upgrade and Initiation. But when i put my model name and click OK it crashes . Please someone help! .

Kies have never worked for me. I've talked to vzw and samsung tech support, and well they were not what I would call helpful tech support. I would use odin to flash back to stock.
Can you further elaborate on your problem? It might be easily fixable without odin'ing back to stock.

So Ive Got This Samsung Brand and it was like a month searching for good Roms for this phone but theres no luck for me . is there any update for this phone ? I did already tried CM10 / 10.1 but the problem is everytime i installed CM Roms there is no signal and baseband . I tried Every solution about this problem but still the problem about data/signal exist . Any suggestion guys ? any suggestion is much appreciated .

I have samsung Galaxy S4 (i9505) bought from UAE and living in LEbanon. I was trying to update the software to Lollipop using the odin and the UK based lollipop version and then i got the error "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recover mode in Kies and Try again.
I tried connecting to Kies but not being able to connect
So i tried to flashing using the 4.4.2 Lebanon version but i got the message that i need the PIT File. I have added that and then i got another message as per attached.
First of all could you lease explain to me what went wrong in first place. Is it the lollipop version that i used or because the phone was not rooted.
Secondly and most important can any one help me to resolve the issue. What is wrong in what i am doing. Is it the PIT version ??

i had a NOTE 4 device -- then i faced a camera problem then i sent it to the maintainance ... they told me it needed a Board Swap
anyway -- they made it and the problem was solved
before i sent it it was on Lolipop 5.1.1
after they fixed the problem -- i found it -with the new board- on lolipop 5.0.1
and this Update SUCKS !!
THE problem is
i'm searching for updates and it tells that "the latest updates a=are already installed"
i tried via WIFI and SAMSUNG KIES also
and still the same
Can any one please help !
i want to know if it will OFFICIALLY RECEIVE LOLIPOP 5.1.1
and If so , When will it receive it ?!
i searched Sammobile , but found nothing for my PDA number
I don't even which COUNTRY does the new Board Belong to
