I have samsung Galaxy S4 (i9505) bought from UAE and living in LEbanon. I was trying to update the software to Lollipop using the odin and the UK based lollipop version and then i got the error "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recover mode in Kies and Try again.
I tried connecting to Kies but not being able to connect
So i tried to flashing using the 4.4.2 Lebanon version but i got the message that i need the PIT File. I have added that and then i got another message as per attached.
First of all could you lease explain to me what went wrong in first place. Is it the lollipop version that i used or because the phone was not rooted.
Secondly and most important can any one help me to resolve the issue. What is wrong in what i am doing. Is it the PIT version ??
Could anyone please help me

Hello Everyone!!
I have a GT-I9060 DS mobile (India) and I am getting the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen since a few days. I tried Firmware upgrade using Kies, but it says that "The model information that you have entered cannot be verified". So upgrade the firmware from KIES is out of scope.
Request you guys to please me out with this. I am unable to start my mobile phone.
How do I install the firmware again and make the phone up and running?

I have a galaxy s5 active (SM-G870A) running the lollipop 5.0 update. Ive been trying to downgrade back to kitkat 4.4.2. When I try to download the 4.4.2 firmware from samsmobile
my browser, google chrome wont fully download the file but acts like the download is complete, if i click on the file it says it is an invalid file. Any solutions?
Thanks!
Hi there,
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
Try again without another browser and check the md5 if it's available on Samfirmare.
Make sure your bootloader will allow you to downgrade. If you need further help, you may ask here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s5/help
Good luck.
