Hi everyone,
I've a Canadian Samsung Galaxy Q(SGH-T589W) and due to some problem, I updated the ROM and my bad luck that it was a the US version(T-Mobile) of the ROM and now there are multiple problems such as:
-No File manager
-No wifi
-Phone keeps blinking
-Many apps don't work
In all, if anyone can give me a link to the stock Canadian ROM (SGH-T589W), I'll always be thankful to you
Searching google did not help, but of course might have not looked at the right places. Please, please help me
Thank you in advance!

Thank you Trozzul for getting back!
Unfortunately it is T589W, it was running Gingerbread and after updating it is currently running Froyo
I have the source of SGH-T589W from "opensource.samsung.com" and I don't know what do to with it
If everything fails, could you point me to some appropriate thread where I could stash out relevant files from the source?
Thanks once again!
So after finding the stock ROM, Odin gets stuck after SetupConnection
I've tried changing USB ports, using a hub, using a different computer, using different versions of Odin, running Odin as Administrator, plugging out the cable and yes the phone is in downloading mode
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thank you
No one??

Thanks so much.
Hi,
I have a rooted T589w from mobilicity. If there is anything I can help with let me know, but I would need very specific instructions.

Hi,
Sorry to resurrect this thread, but I think I'm experiencing the exact same problem that you had. Do you remember where you found the stock ROM? Or, even better, do you still have it stored somewhere?
It'd be an absolute life-saver!

You shouldn't have to extract anything. Once you download it, it should be a .jar file. Then you just double click it and the program does everything for you.
Edit: And no one is yelling at you bro. We're all here to help you, you just need to be calm and be detailed in what happened and let us explain
Go back to the guide that you linked to in your first post, then go to post #2 in that thread. It's a step by step guide to what you're trying to do.

And do not forget to check the version of your device, because S2 has many variants and therefore different firmware...

My device has no ROMs out there, it is the GT-S7562L, there's ROMs for the GT-S7562 (even some people here in XDA are developing CM11 for this phone, but not mine ) but not mine for some reason, their only difference is the network frequencies. What could go wrong if i flashed a ROM for the S7562? Could my phone get bricked? Would something go wring with the network, and if so, does it have a solution? If something DOES go wrong, is it simply solved by restoring a previous backup? Thanks a lot!

Okk .
First of all try not to flash other models rom on your device.
If you are lucky it will only softbrick, bootloop or such.
If by chance you are unlucky dont blame xda.
Hardbrick might cause you a great problem.
Sometime some problems cannot be solved even after restoration of your old files.
Further I wont stop you, just want you not to get trouble.
*********----------**********
Instead just try to root your phone.
Install xposed framework on your stock rom & modify it as per your convince using different combinations of xposed modules.
Thankyou,
Zeuscluts
Hit thanks if I helped you.
The worst that could happen is bootloop, again I am not sure, but I have flashed a rom for the y210-0151 when my model is the y210-0100. Try porting it to ur device

How do you port a ROM (yes, I know little to nothing about technical stuff in phones). Also, what was the difference between the y210-0151 and the y210-0100, was it also the network frequencies?

Like there are many tutorials for ut.
All you need to make some precautions while porting.
As for the network frequencies you saying try not to sway modems of the host you porting rom to your device also be precauted with kernel it bootloop, sometime hard brick also.

I don't want to come across as unhelpful, but I couldn't find your device firmware on XDA. I can't help you with sites outside of XDA, but I can tell you it took me three clicks with Google Search to get to your phone's firmware (4.4.2 KitKat). Why don't you give it a try too?
Best of luck
I have installed cos13 over cos12 with twrp and everything works fine except that once a day i lose mobile data connection (network is ok, just no LTE/H/G/E). This happens mostly when i go away from a wifi place and when it loses the wifi connection it doesn't go on mobile data.
Only thing that works is rebooting the phone. i did cache and data wipe true twrp
thnx
Same issue here. Can't find much about this online, as if not many are facing this problem.
I'm on Proximus (Belgium). Double-checked the APN settings, all looks ok.
I flashed another baseband and the problem is gone. (Ook proximus)

I haven't got a custom recovery. Can I flash it using cyanogen recovery? If not I will do it when I have a little more spare time
I don't think so but you can try.
Tried with cyanogen recovery, doesn't work
After months and months of pulling my hair out, daily reboots and trying numerous other suggestions and solutions, finally I've come across this post. It DOES solve the problem with inability to get data connection when leaving a wifi zone. You need to install TWRP first. I can't post the link due to XDA forum limitation for new users, but a quick search on google should send you in the right direction. Thanks diederikmo!
Hey, I've got exactly the same problem, but unfortunately the baseband you uploaded is no longer available. Can somebody please re-upload it? This problem is really making my phone useless.
This link won't work. Please pass a new link.
Please give new link
