Sprint Data During Call - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Was wondering if there is a way to have 3g or lte active during a call I know on my s3 and note 2 it was thanks
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app

you can't those 2 phones were part of the last batch of phones for sprint that could. I used to love that my s3 could do that.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app

Nope. It is sad really. Until Sprint can implement VoLTE we're stuck.

Thank you for your help that's what I thought was just wanting to make sure there wasn't something I was missing

Strange, I do it all the time on my nexus 5 can't tell you how many times I've been surfing Facebook or tumblr or whatever while talking on the phone.

That's Google Now at work. It calculates time and distance from locations you go to frequently. I find it amazing.

Oh OK I just find it as a invasion of privacy and it should be turned off by default.

[Q] Nexus 5 Verizon radio flash

I purchased a Nexus 5 and I know that it doesn't support the VZW lte band. My question is, doesn't the Nexus 5 have the same SoC as the LG G2? If so, does anyone think they can get the LG G2 radio flash for the VZW version to work on the Nexus 5 to make it work with VZW?
It may be possible but may brick your phone. But this is a message I got when I put in my Sim card. Not sure if it helps at all.

I found this and have been making posts on this thread. Someone else has the same idea, but no one has seemed to have tried it yet.

WiFi tethering

So just got this bad boy and activated with spring, was wondering if the WiFi tether works out of the box... If not I hope a work around comes soon.

Test it out yourself?
Sorry I just saw that another thread is already going about this, please delete this one.

Not on TMobile, but they don't fake their numbers..must be a Sprint thing.../snort. Very odd.
This is the first time it's done it. So funny.

Never happened on any of the six N5 I used (EU model, D821), nor on my 2012 N7 3G.
I haven't seen this issue on N5.
It happened to me once when I had Galaxy Nexus.
I think it depends on the server where you are downloading from.
In this particular case it seems to be google play.
Are you using any apps to get to the market? I know people from outside of US are using them.

G3 AT&T Radio

So I have a complaint and wonder if anyone else has noticed. We have very little ATT signal in our home but mostly on my LG G Pro we can make a call anywhere in the house, on my G3 however It will often show 3 bars of signal when it should only have 1 and will not make a call at all in the same spots as the G Pro. What's up with the wonky weak radio?
Can't help you, mines working fine here. I can highly recommend the micro cell. In my old house I couldn't get signal in the house at all, micro cell solved the problem perfectly

My signal was horrible with the ATT G3. I returned it for the TMO version, and still using ATT, the signal is noticeably better.

I switched fro an iPhone to the G3. Just slipped my SIM from one to the other. The G3 gets about the same as the iPhone, but just a shave better reception!

I tried to do this and it will only allow one digit, so I can only set it from 0-9. Am I missing something?

In my build.prop there was a comment put in front of this line entry. Remove the the # from the front then you'll be able to put 12 in. Hope this helps
mine is at 9 and signal strength is -78dBm..
