Searching for 9070 multifile (service) firmware - Galaxy S Advance I9070 General

Hello, I'm searching for 9070 service firmware. Works only download mode, flashing original FW didn't help, can't do wipes, recovery mode don't works.

What happens when you flash stock firmware? Try to reflash with repartition option enabled and correct pit file for device

If the download mode works then you are good. Just flash the JB firmware (single file) using odin.
Then if you want to go for GB then read the following guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36744120
The GB has 3 files to flash - you will find them here - keep searching.

I'll try this evening.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, tried multifile GB, after flashed 1 file JB, see only galaxy advansed logo, recovery don't woks, only download.
Tried to do EFS clear, repartition, nothing.

But I think it will be launched soon
Great, i have downloaded and flashed on my P6200L, and is working fine.
So basically, download mode+odin+firmware? need not root right?
That's it, download, unzip, flash via odin, and yes, need to root if you want, i've rooted and worked OK.

just, flash the lastest CWM recovery over ODIN, download the zip file root.zip from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1367249 and flash over CWM.
Official Update?
Yep
Should we wait for more firmwares to kick in so we have more options and perhaps with some improvements?

Perfect.
It is so slow compared to ICS. Samsung really has to stop with bloatware.
Just flash on ICS with ODIN, without any wype, and works fine and don't loose my datas !
For the root I install CWM 6.0.2.7 with odin, then flash the old root.zip (that one I used for ICS), with this new CWM wich asked me to fix the root, I said YES. Rot was good, comfirm by Titanium backup, no need to flash syperuser.zip.
Only a problem with the samsung's keyboard which keep querty, but it show azerty, and I am french, so I change for ICS keyboard wich is really azerty !
All is smooth and fast !!!!

One man's bloat is another man's nugget and apps the you don't run just sit there doing nothing, using no resources and have nothing to do with overall speed. If you want them gone, root, and remove or freeze them,

WOW I haven't seen much movement on my device in several months now all of a sudden a stock 4.1..2 and a 4.2.2 PA ROM with in a couple weeks!! awesome!
Thanks I will try it later!
The only thing that doesn't seem to work is the 5 GHz wifi. Since this is for UK and Ireland, I expect their frequencies are different.
Other than that, it works wonderfully on my US P6210.

And you manually Odin to 4.1.2 with full firmware?? It's not possible to downgrade...Anyway, try to Odin again with PIT file and full factory firmware. Also make a backup of the IMEI folder before you do it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
If still not working you need to replace your SIM card(free from your provider) and call your provider to reprovision the card, just like when you first brought the phone.

Stock recovery needed for restoring stock rom?

I found an ATT stock recovery, but I have not been able to find a T-Mobile stock recovery. I am trying to restore to stock using Odin with no luck. It keeps failing. I remember from other devices, you need to restore a stock recovery first to get the restore work properly.

Can you post a screenshot of what ODIN says? You may just have a bad download of the firmware. The full stock firmware contains everything. You should do a full wipe though before flashing in ODIN to get rid of any remnants of fact that your device was rooted. Only thing you can't reset is the Knox counter.

Extracting modem/baseband for S7 Edge

Anyone know an easy way to extract a flashable modem from stock firmware for this device to be used in odin or recovery?
Im using a G935w8 from canada and flashed echoerom which is not intended for my model but works awsome
Noticed my reception isn't as great so wanted to extract the modem from my old firmware and flash itnlikeninuaednto do with previous samsung models
I have the stock firmware files and looked into a bunch of threads but nothing for this device it seems
Im able to extract recovery.img boot.img and a bunch of others but cant seem to find the modem
Any help or pointing me to a simple tutu loreal would be appreciated
Thanks
I have my original stock firmware file and the following. I would just need to know how to get just the baseband extracted so I can flash it via Odin or Recovery on my own device and keep the modded ROM

You should use home csc ( matching the one you have now) to avoid factory reset , but you can use either one
Check here:

Hi
If you have a multi csc rom (most likely ) it will reset the phone and will install the default CSC for that rom whatever it is , to really pick what csc you want you need to be root

Well, I just tried that way and it worked. Now I have G930FXXU2DRA9 baseband
Last time I flashed all slots and a misoperation started the Samsung ROM. TWRP had to be installed again. And partitions had to be corrected. All data on sdcard were deleted. So the procedure above is much better :good:
