Permanent unlock Samsung Galaxy S4 MK2. Combination of methods. - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

To everyone trying to unlock their Samsung Galaxy S4 MK2 locked to AT&T and had no luck after doing method 1 and 2 in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595457. I found another method. It took me 3 weeks to make this happen. No root access required.
WARNING: Do this at your own risk! If your phone get bricked, you did something wrong but I have a link below to unbrick you phone.
Requirements:
1. Make sure that your phone is MK2 build and that the phone prompts for the SIM network unlock code when another carrier SIM is placed.
2. Buy a cheap IMEI unlock code somewhere, they should provide you the freeze code as well. I know! I also hope we can do this for free.
3. We will be using a method combination using method 2 from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595457 and my troubleshooting procedures.
Steps:
After buying the code. The cheapest one about $3.00 to $5.00. Google it. Follow the steps they provided. They will just tell you to insert other carrier SIM and when the SIM network unlock prompt pops out, type the unlock code and hit "unlock". If it doesn't work follow this steps:
Troubleshooting number 1:
1. Power on your phone with a different network sim card. "SIM network unlock PIN" or "Enter Network Lock Control Key" screen will appear.
2. Type your Unfreeze code and hit Unlock button. You will get "unsuccessful message" again but don't worry.
3. Now type the Unlock code and hit Unlock button. *If your phone reads "Network Lock Succesful" it worked, but if not, proceed to step 4.
4. If you get "unsuccessful" again then hit Dismiss button and type *2767*3855# on phone keypad. (This will reformat all your data)
5. After phone restarts, type the Unfreeze code when prompted to enter "SIM network unlock PIN" or "Enter Network Lock Control Key" and hit unlock button. It will say "unsuccessful" again, don't worry!
6. Type the Unlock code and hit Unlock button. Your phone should now give you the message "Network Lock Successful".
Now. If this worked for you, you are lucky. Apparently, this did not work for me. When I typed in *2767*3855# the phone did not do anything. I tried factory resetting too by using the E3 boot command and proceeded to step 5 but it still not working. Lets proceed to troubleshooting number 2.
Troubleshooting number 2:
Note: Troubleshooting number 2 needs access to the hidden menu. Since we are running on MK2 hidden menu is disabled. Again, another disappointment. But then again, we can access the hidden menu by flashing MDL modem. So we now go to this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2595457 and follow method 2. Download both the modems and you need odin 3.07. Now after flashing the MLD modem you can now access the hidden menu and follow the steps below.
1. Make sure that the phone PROMPTS for the code with a NON accepted sim card.
a. Go to the Dial pad and dial *#197328640# or *#0011#
b. Press the Menu button followed by the Back key. Then, hit the Menu button again and select KEY INPUT. Enter 1 and press the OK button to enter ServiceMode.
c. Press Menu one more time and tap back again. This will pull up the Main Menu for ServiceMode. Tap [1] UMTS.
d. Now select [1]DEBUG SCREEN, followed by [6] PHONE CONTROL.
e. From the next screen, pick [6] NETWORK LOCK.
f. You will see 3 options
g. Please click on number [1] Perso Sha256 INFO, the screen will change slightly
h. Please hit the MENU button then when the menu pops up please carefully hit BACK to return to the previous screen
i. Next Please click on number [2] Perso Sha256 ON, the screen will change again to a one line message
j. Restart the phone on the screen by holding the power button and click RESTART (Note: Do not do the NV rebuild, just restart using the power button)
k. When the phone prompts for the unlock code simply enter the unlock code provided to you
l. Your phone is now permanently unlocked!
m. Odin flash the MK2 modem or else you phone will be buggy and wont have sounds.
This is my method of unlocking my S4 MK2 build locked to AT&T. Is it really permanent? I tried to re flash a full MK2 modem from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2621279. After it booted, it never asked for the SIM unlock PIN. I also tried factory reset by using the E3 boot command by holding the volume up+homekey+power button at the same time. After booting up, no prompt for the SIM network unlock PIN.
If ever you hard brick you phone, it is not my fault. I actually did a hard brick when I was doing method 1 from the above link but I managed to fix it by using this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2573080.
I hope this works for you as well.
Credit goes to: bvzxa3 and ted77usa. Without their guide I won’t figure this out. Thank you for making my brain bleed a bit. Now I feel like I’m a genius.

Xperia ion forgot screen pin code

Hey, I have this ancient Xperia Ion that I haven't used for years and recently decided to turn it on coz I have a prepaid card from a different country. Cgarged it and turned it on, all worked well until I got to the screen lock part.. I have no idea what pin (the four digit number) I put back then. Tried plenty of combos but I just can't unlock it. Tried to hold volume down and power button to perform a data wipe but the phone starts normally with no options. For 0.01 seconds I see some text and then Sony log appears. Emma flashtool does not work since my phone 's bootloader is not unlocked. I tried to use the xperia companion but upon pressing volume down and then connecting I get an error message telling me to contact sony support.
Tried opening the xperia support page but the Xperia Ion phone has been removed and I don't have it listed on my personal sony page as I didn't bother to register it there...
Is there anything else I can do to wipe the data or anything whatever just to bypass the screen lock?
PS. I don't have an android manager set up, all I can do is call my phone and send a request that I can\t open since my phone is screen locked.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the vague explanation, n00b here.
PS2 I can't post in the xperia Ion subforum since I don't have the required posts to do so
1.Unlock with google account(Android 4.4 or below)
Put any wrong pattern until 5 times then there will be a messages "Forgot Pattern?" Click it and follow the instruction
2.Restore your data from lock screen using computer.
Download "Android Data Recovery" to your pc and run it,choose more tools then choose android screen removal and follow the step, after that, choose download mode, and follow the step.
Note:You have to debug your USB and choose "MTP" mode in advance.
3.Reset Phone to factory setting
Thats what i can help,Hope its helpful
1 is not available as I don't have a pattern, it's the four number pin code and there is no option "forgot pin"
I tried yesterday and it said it only supports a few Samsung phones.
Now I tried to debug the USB (I think it was selected on my phone.. Can't remember) which instantly caused a bad pool caller bsod.
3. I can't do because the hard key combo will do nothing.
Already flash recovery before? If yes you may have to rap SONY logo 5-6 times while booting to get in to recovery or you can press volume + button 5-6 times while booting,so you can wipe data to delete your password data
Note:Sony phones do not have stock recovery. You have to flash custom recovery.
Or if the solution above still not working, you could try other ways :

The last way is to bring your phone to serviceperson...maybe they can help.

Problem with Motorola Moto G 3rd Generation.

Hi, suddenly my device is not working fine. These are the problems.
-Can't see my notifications;
-Can't see my lockscreen;
-The home button doesnt' work;
-Factory mode isn't available, it says that there is no command.
I tried to unlock the bootloader from the Motorola site, but in the last step, when I enter the unlock code, it fails and tells me to enable the USB debugging. I tap seven times to the "number build" but nothing happens. I have the developer options but when I tap it the page is blank with no options. What can I do? Can somebody help me please?

Try a proper external Factory Reset
Android 5.x (Lollipop)/Android 6.x (Marshmallow) Steps
With the phone powered off, press and hold the Volume Down button and the Power button at the same time until the device turns on.
Press the Volume Down key to highlight Recovery mode.
Press the Power key to restart into Recovery mode.
The screen will display an Android robot with a red exclamation mark. (ie. No Command)
While holding down the Power key, press and release the Volume Up key, then release Power.
Use the volume keys to scroll to Wipe data/factory reset and press the Power key to select it.
Scroll down to Yes - erase all user data and press the Power key to select it.

Unlocking the bootloader does not require ADB at all, it only requires fastboot and OEM Unlocking enabled in Developer options.
Please check!
Please tell me, if these are the problems you observed:

If yes, please tell if your device ran out of flash memory.

Greetings...
I will try to help you...
First, you have to enable the Developer mode on your device, going to Settings >> About Phone >>> Software Information >>> Build Number. When you reach there, tap on it about 6-7 times until you get a message saying you unlocked the Developer's Mode.
View attachment 1-Enabling-developer-option.webp
Then you will have to go back to Settings again and look for Developer's mode at the bottom of the list.
When you get into this option, you will have to search for Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlock options, so you will be able to proceed to the unlocking bootloader...
You must activate both, otherwise it will not show on the pre-download screen! If you get a popup warning, tap enable if you would like to proceed.
Now restart your device into Download mode, pressing Vol Up+Vol Down+Power Button or just Vol Up+Vol Down and insert your usb cable into the device. The usb cable must be connected on your computer first.
View attachment 4-Samsung-Galaxy-A22-Download-Mode.webp
After doing this, your device will go on Download mode and this screen will appear, pay attention carefully before press any key on you device....
After you do this procedure to press and hold Volume UP button, then it will show you another screen, like this...
Now you press Vol Up to unlock or Vol Down to give up and go back to normal.
If you choose Yes, your device will reboot and then will erase all informations and files you had into your phone and will perform a hard reset to factory default, and your bootloader will be unlocked.
If all were done correctly, this is the screen that will show for you from now on...
You're done. Your device is completely unlocked.
In any case, always have an original stock rom firmware of your device, so you can restore the original.
And if you want to lock it again, do the same steps again, but when you choose YES, it will do a hard reset again and go to factory install, erasing all again.
Remember to do a back-up of all your data and stuffs before you perform this.
I hope I had helped with this.

Samsung Xcover6 unlock bootloader (SM-G736B) before rooting

Wanting to root the device via magisk, I tried first to unlock the bootloader of my phone but apparently failed.
I started by activating the developer mode, set oem unlocking developer option in the settings then tried adb reboot bootloader : no success, the phone simply rebooted. A fastboot oem unlock just hung out waiting for a device.
I can go into download mode or recovery mode if that may help...
Any idea how to unlock this bootloader ? How can i check it is effectively unlocked ?
Thanks in advance for any help
It's well known that SAMSUNG mobiles don't have the Fastboot feature: there it's the Download mode.
FYI:
Power off your device. Press Volume Up + Volume Down and plug in your device to a PC to boot into download mode
When you enter download mode, Long press Volume Up button to unlock the bootloader.
ok well, let's forget about fastboot command then.
I'll answer myself on the original question, to unlock the bootloader:
switch off the phone
press volume up and volume down key
plugin a usb cable
choose "device unlock" with a long press volume up
after released the key up, choose "unlock" with volume up again
Now I'm looking to enter the download mode which I can't reach anymore. Any idea xXx yYy ?
Answer myself again
Apply the 3 first steps of my previous answer, you'll be in the same unlock screen as before but the first option will be "Continue". Choose it with volume up and you will end up in download mode !
Now I'll try rooting with magisk...
Rooting with magisk 25.2 done by a classical patching of AP from november release: AP_G736BXXU1BVK2_G736BXXU1BVK2_MQB58744363_REV00
It appears that this is the only thread on the entire forum for this phone?
Having just bought one for the removable battery and the dual SIM, I discovered that samsung in their infinite wisdom disabled the multiple users feature in their oneUI ROM, which really sucks because that was part of the reason I wanted the phone, to segregate certain apps into their own user account.
This all made me realize Root + custom ROM is probably the only way I will ever get that basic functionality returned.
So here I see that rooting is doable, but there appears to be zero results for un-samsung'd ROMs.
Which market is G736B? I was looking at ordering but I am in the US and the Samsung site is giving me the SM-G736UZKEXAA. Would the classical patching work on that?
The G736B model is sparsely distributed in EU, Asia, Africa and Oceania (see here). Your G736W US model is also based on Snapdragon 778G, it is probably the same phone with a few subtleties concerning 5G support (if any, can't find out) and software bloatware. I'd be surprised the above patching doesn't work but ... it's only a guess !
