[Q] Recording video with external audio source, possible??? - General Questions and Answers

Hi there,
I'm owner of a Galaxy S4 Mini.
I'm also a home/amateur dj.
I would like to record a video while I'm djing with my mobile, using the minijack connection as a sound input. I want to connect the mixer output directly to the phone so I can have a video with the best audio possible.
Is that possible?, is there any app able to record video with external audio source (not the integrated mic)?.
Many thanks for your support.

Thanks for your fast answer.
I would like to avoid using a mic. I want to connect the output of my mixer directly to the phone with a RCA-Jack cable while recording the video.

then connect a 3.5 female jack in place and use conector like this one

I'm using a RCA(male)-Jack(male) cable to connect my mixer to my phone.
The question is: how do I configure the video record app to make the phone take the sound from the mixer????.

Sounds like you need a receiver bra. Definitely a must for every projector owner for this very reason.

[Q] Bluetooth takes precedence over AUX to play audio

I'm in my car a lot. So I like to listen to podcasts, Pandora or music from my Infuse. The problem I'm having now is that I just got a Bluetooth speaker that mounts to my visor.
What's happening is when I connect to the Bluetooth speaker and I want to listen to music instead of the music going through the auxiliary port it plays through my Bluetooth speaker. The only way I can fix this is to open my audio player (I use the one that came installed on the infuse) click the menu button and select "via phone." Then I get my podcast or music to play through the auxiliary port.
Is there a quicker way to do this or an easier way? I can't just open up Pandora and with my Bluetooth speaker connected have it play through my auxiliary port. It always defaults to playing through bluetooth if it's enabled and connected. I have to manually open my music player select a song then hit menu and change it to "via phone"
Its just frustrating. Any help is appreciated.
Dont think so. Why dont you just take your calls through the AUX port instead? i do that and it ways works fine. As for your bluetooth issue. Since your visor clip supports A2DP streamig it will automatically play through bluetooth since its connected

Optimus-Prime,
I suppose I could take my calls through the aux port the only thing is I have to jack up the volume to be able to hear the person on the other end. I also have not tested the quality of using my phones speaker vs the quality of the visor mounted Motorola Bluetooth device. I'm hoping/thinking the Motorola will have better audio quality. This I have yet to determine.

So is there a way to have audio simultaneously on Bluetooth and Stereo plug ?

Hi all.
So I want to have audio output to both, simultaneously, to a remote Bluetooth-receiver (which is on the other side of my bedroom's wall) and to a stereo 3.5mm connection next to my phone.
Right now, I can have audio to one, but not both (Bluetooh, OR, 3.5mm).
After much searching, I am 50% happy using the app Turbo Alarm because it can play audio simultanously to my Bluetooth receiver and the phone's loud Speaker, but NOT to the phone's 3.5mm plug (silent).
Any thing you know that can do the trick ?
Thank you all.

The hardware in your device is designed to only output audio one way or the other, not two or three. It's a limitation built into the hardware, you aren't gonna change it.
There is, however, a solution to your problem, it involves external hardware.
You will need a 3.5mm Y cable and a Bluetooth audio transmitter, plug the cable in your 3.5mm audio jack, connect whatever device you were gonna run via audio jack to one side of the Y cable, connect the Bluetooth audio transmitter to the other side of the Y cable.
This will allow playing audio to both but it won't allow them to listen to different media, they will hear both receive the same audio.
If you want the listening devices to be able to play different audio independently, then you'll have to consider other hardware such as wireless flash drive, it can stream audio to up to 8 devices and stream video to 3 devices, each of them watching or listening to different things independently of each other.

Using an External Microphone with the Mate 9

Anyone have any luck using an external mic when recording audio or video?
Sure every headset mic works.
But I guess you mean external USB Audio recording.
Yes, I have tested this using my ZOOM H4 N. It's a bit tricky and needs an USB 2 Host Adapter, and a software which detects USB Audio Mics. For example "Field recorder" 8.2 does it. You need to adjust the sample rate.
Thanks

recording Stereo with pixel 2 usb c

Has anyone tried this? I'm just trying to record my set using usb c dongle and mini stereo out of rec out and it seems to only record in mono. Is this a software issue?
Or does anyone have a perfect solution to record stereo through a external sound card recommendation?
