Using an External Microphone with the Mate 9 - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Anyone have any luck using an external mic when recording audio or video?

Sure every headset mic works.
But I guess you mean external USB Audio recording.
Yes, I have tested this using my ZOOM H4 N. It's a bit tricky and needs an USB 2 Host Adapter, and a software which detects USB Audio Mics. For example "Field recorder" 8.2 does it. You need to adjust the sample rate.

Thanks

[Q] Recording video with external audio source, possible???

Hi there,
I'm owner of a Galaxy S4 Mini.
I'm also a home/amateur dj.
I would like to record a video while I'm djing with my mobile, using the minijack connection as a sound input. I want to connect the mixer output directly to the phone so I can have a video with the best audio possible.
Is that possible?, is there any app able to record video with external audio source (not the integrated mic)?.
Many thanks for your support.

Thanks for your fast answer.
I would like to avoid using a mic. I want to connect the output of my mixer directly to the phone with a RCA-Jack cable while recording the video.

I'm using a RCA(male)-Jack(male) cable to connect my mixer to my phone.
The question is: how do I configure the video record app to make the phone take the sound from the mixer????.

Recording video with external mic?

Hey guys,
any of you have experience with video recording using external microphone? I am kinda satisfied with built-in mic but sometimes need to use external one. However, Mate 8 keep recording audio with built-in mic all the time.
I am using BOYA mic, which works the same way as Rhode Smartlav+ and I have no problems with it on iPhone and Sony Xperia devices. I just plug it in and video is recording using external mic. Huawei is different though.
Thanks for input
Same problem here with Mate 8

recording Stereo with pixel 2 usb c

Has anyone tried this? I'm just trying to record my set using usb c dongle and mini stereo out of rec out and it seems to only record in mono. Is this a software issue?
Or does anyone have a perfect solution to record stereo through a external sound card recommendation?
did you find any solution?

Moto Audio

I just bought a pair of gaming headphones (HyperX Cloud Revolver S) I still get surround sound and spacial awareness. But Moto audio is not compatible with auxiliary connections. Would I be able to fix this using possibly an auxiliary to 3.5mm adapter? I would use the adapter that came with it but I need a type a to type c adapter. But I'm not sure if the Moto stylus supports USB audio. Any tips or suggestions is much appreciated. Thank you.
Ok so I got it to work using a USB dongle or OTG. My problem right now though is the 7.1 virtual surround sound has an echo to it mainly in voices i.e. people talking, and the sound as a whole sounds like I'm in an auditorium. It's the same rather I'm using smart audio or the movie feature in Moto audio. I've also tried turning on/off both sound virtualizer and volume leveler. Is there maybe any app that might fix this?
Note: noozoxide does not work on this device.

USB audio

Using Scarlett 2i2 to USB in on s21+ to record ext audio for video. Using d/a converter. Noise gate/limiter threshold is triggering audio input drops. Any way to disable input limiter/noise gate?
