Does anyone know if you can ruin the touch screen sensitivity by bending the screen of the nexus 5?

What type of bending will you be doing? any sort of extreme bending will not only ruin the digitizer but also the glass
if you want a phone that bends look @ LG G Flex
My little Cousion was bending it on opposite sides of the phone. She's young and I took it away from her and now it seems like the digitizer is a little off. The touch seems not as smooth as before.

I recommend also doing the multi touch test along with the single touch test

All the touches are registering, it feels like its not as smooth maybe im just imagining it, but could it lose it sensitivity from bending the phone I am debating on sending it into lg for repair.

Hello everyone!
I'm stuck and need some help in this situation.
Can anyone out there recommend me a really good screen protector and charger for the phone? I'd really appreciate it.
What's wrong with your stock charger?
What kind of screen protector are you looking for? Matte? Glossy? Are you looking for standard scratch protection or something more robust, like shatter protection?
Seriously, what is wrong with your stock charger...
For screen protector, check out this page http://www.squidoo.com/best-lg-google-nexus-4-screen-protector-top-5
For charger, if you have the budget, maybe you can try the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger which costs $59.99.
can't go wrong with Skinomi screen protector, they install easy, protect the entire front and back of phone and if you have any issues they are really helpful and even replace your screen protector for any reason.

I read that the stock charger burns the battery faster/killed the battery on another topic in this forum.
Get the best skin ever case / bumper optimised screen protector. That way it won't peel off with any case. Love mine.

Hello guys, let me explain my situation. I own the white 32gb nexus 5 since day one.
I dropped my phone yesterday and, as a result, the screen is now broken and there is a huge damage on top, beside the microphone.
I was looking for replacement part and I guessed if I could assemble the black matte frame with my white back cover.
The new phone will be black earpiece, matte black sides and white soft back.
Would you guys suggest me following this path?
I'm used to manipulate electronics, working on this phone doesn't sound like a problem at all for me.
I would like to point out that the Nexus 5 has it's screen glued. This makes replacement difficult.

Yeah, there's actually a guide but my account is to new to post it. Op, check out ifixit. It has a great Nexus 5 teardown tutorial.
goo.gl/vzmOQN maybe this will work?

Would you think that this mod is worth?
I'm quite worried about the result.
Do you think the two parts will match well together?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk[/QUOTE]
I'm not exactly qualified to say personally but if you are used to working with electronics, then you can give it a try. After all the screen is broken and most of the other parts are easy enough to fix a far as far as the tear down says. I would personally think that replacing the earpiece would be relatively easy. After all the Nexus 5 has a very high repair ease rating.

First off, I love my note 3. This phone is so close to perfect I can't bear the fact that I broke it somehow.
After having no case/screen protector since I got this phone.. sometime end of summer.. I bought my first case off of amazon. I received it YESTERDAY.. today.. while it was in the case, in my back pack (in a nice "protective" pouch that is lined with soft cloth) somehow it cracked the lcd screen (or digitizer) but the GLASS IS NOT CRACKED. Infact there's no physical damage to the phone at all, no dents or scratches anywhere on the phone at all, even looking at the screen under a light. Nothing on the glass.
SO I'm heart broken. It's my secondary phone so I have no insurance on it.
What would you do ? It's a sprint phone.. black.
You have to replace your complete screen.
It's called a full assembly.
You can't just replace you lcd alone.
They cost around $200.
Try parts4repair.com
I repair alot of phones and this site always has the best quality.

There's no damage at all, not even a slight scratch. I'm actually a little curious how it happened.
So it can really be some fault in phone that'll go under warranty have you tried resetting phone if it's some software fault / bug?

Yes.. you can see the top third of the screen for a minute or two, then it goes black/digital looking (8 bit graphics) and then eventually joins the bottom of the screen - being broken.

Actually - I looked at it under the light, if you hold it up to your eye level you can see a cracked digitizer

if there is no obvious damage such as a mark where is bounced on the ground or a crushed screen, i'd warranty it.
Isn't the Note a bit large to place in your back pocket?

I had the same thing happen, although it happened after someone else dropped the phone.
I ended up buying a new front assembly for the phone for about $237. It was the only seller that affirmatively listed the display as AMOLED. The repair was pretty straightforward and it works well now

I decided to go the honest route.
Handed her the phone saying that I dropped it, don't have insurance, can't get it anymore because it's been too long and asked if there was anything that could be done.
She smiled, said "Finally someone is honest, let me see what I can do"
Turns out they had a broken Note3 in the back with a good digitizer and screen.
Charged me 75 bucks, signed me up for insurance (I'm months outside the 30 day window) and sent me on my way.
Sure it's not free, but for 75 bucks and I don't have to mess with it and I kept my integrity, I'm happy!

I didn't drop it, but someone else did. So the warranty was gone.
The parts for the repair cost $237, i think, and was totally doable.

you actually can replace just the screen - there is a youtube video of a guy doing it.
However, when I did it, it was actually cheaper to buy the entire assembly...not to mention much easier.

The black may be a reaction to your perspiration. Different people have slightly different pH (acidity/alkalinity) which could cause a chemical reaction. If that's the case and you get the phone replaced it may come back unless you use a case.

I got the new model of this over the weekend. I got 2 and both had issues adhering to the lower right hand corner of my screen. Phone's screen was super clean and I even wore gloves to make sure I didn't get any oils on the screen. I left the one on for a day thinking it might lay down flat but never did. It started getting snagged when I put the phone in my pocket so I took it off. Tried the 2nd one and had the same thing happen. Not sure what the deal was but I opened up a warranty claim with IntelliArmor.

No worries. I think I will. From looking into it though it might be a manufacturing issue and the replacement might be warped as well.
Mine adhered OK in 3 of 4 corners. I think the 4th not adhering might have been my fault (when I lined it up to drop it onto the screen, it "air hockeyed" and slid a little bit out of place so I had to gently pry it back up.....the spot(s) I had to pry it back up are the spots that arent adhering as nicely)
I have to say I love the protector itself, just wish I had gotten it to land correctly the first time and wish it hadnt taken so long to get here. I mean, I ordered the iVolar one over the weekend, for $0.95 after coupon, and its scheduled to be delivered tomorrow or Wed.
