My phone wont boot properly.. I am using Moto G with ATT Go phone Micro Sim card.
I also noticed that when I have my phone in Boot menu, it says LOCKED at the top even though i purchased this phone UNLOCKED From amazon. Does this mean they did not unlock my phone properly?
It gets stuck when i turn it on and will not boot properly.
Its stuck at the "WELCOME" screen
IT says "choose language to begin"
then it says "english"
there is a start button under that.. i cannot get it out of this screen no matter what i do.
So is it that the phone is still not unlocked or is it another issue??
it says press start button to begin but its not working, when i press it, all it does is it says "START BUTTON"
but the button press isnt actually doing anything or advancing my options/menu any further..
Also had the problem where my phone wouldnt power up, but let it sit for a day and held power down for 2min then it finally Powered up but still wont boot properly.

The Locked on the boot screen is the state of the boot loader in your case Locked nothing to do with network lock.
In boot loader mode scroll down (volume down) to recovery select this (Volume up) when it reaches recovery hold volume up for 4 seconds and hit power until The menu appears
now navigate to Factory data reset (volume keys go up and down and power selects) select this then select reboot.

hi guys,
i just god nexus from a second hand store. i want to hard reset it but it does't.
it is stuck in the screen where the little green guy with the triangle with an exclamation mark next to it. please help.
is there a way to load the factory rom manually?
(i know how to jailbrake and downgrade an iphone so this should not be so hard)
Hold volume down and press on once you see menu with recovery
press volume again and you will see option for clear storage - thats what you want
that is what i have done already. but why is the mobile preventing me from hard reset ?
I have been hanging around the XDA forums (as well as every other forum I could think of) and have been unable to solve my re-set problem.
I got my Nexus S about a week ago and decided to unlock it. That went well, no problem. Then I decided to root using Superboot - that did not go well. Now my phone is unresponsive, just sits on the Google name with an unlocked padlock on a black screen. I can get into fastboot mode by using the volume up and power button if I do this right after replacing the battery. I cannot seem to go anywhere else. Once I got into a menu that would let me install from sd card, but none of the options would install. I followed the following directions to see if I could do a hard reset:
Hard reset Nexus S using hardware buttons
This option is recommended if you are unable to access the options via the Android OS.
1. Turn the phone off by pressing and holding the Power button for about 2 seconds, the tapping Power off. Alternately, you can pull the and replace the battery.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button while pressing and releasing the Power button.
3. Continue to hold the Volume Down button until you see a menu appear.
4. Now tap the Volume Down button to scroll down to the Clear Storage option.
5. Press the Power button to select Clear storage.
6. Press Volume Up to select Yes.
After a few minutes the hard reset process will be completed and you can reboot your phone to factory default settings.
I never get to the clear storage option, although I have tried data/factory reset and wipe cache. I can get to the android with the triangle and exclamation point but that will just sit for ever, and removing the battery at that point and then rebooting does not work. It just takes me back to the Google and the unlocked padlock. FWIW - my phone updated right before I unlocked it. I don't think it is bricked, but I sure can't get passed the Google name or the Triangle/android.
Thanks for any help.

I've the same problem now - did you ever resolve yours?
Here is how
Power off by removing battery
Hold vol up not down and power,
release power and you get Fastboot mode
vol down to recovery and click power
You get the screen with Android + triangle
Click up and Power again for few seconds
you will get the 'Android Sys recovery'
However if you have my problem 'error in loading the built in SDcard memory this wont help.
The only way i managed to get it to work some times although not now, is to reboot the mobile while it is connected to a PC, and load the PC at the same time.
However this time i am stuck at Google screen

If you don't have any data to lose then just do a manual reset..............
Turn off your phone.
1.If your phone is not responding, try a quick reset. Remove the back cover and battery, then insert the battery and install the back cover.
2.When your phone is off, press and hold both volume keys together, then press Power to turn on the phone.
3.When your phone shows the boot mode menu, press Volume Down to highlight “Recovery.”
Press Volume Up to start “Recovery.”
4.Your phone reboots, then shows a green robot on the screen.
Note: If you activate the wrong prompt or run into problems, you can start over by forcing a reboot.
When the green robot appears, press Volume Up and Volume Down together.
5.The recovery menu appears. Press the volume keys to scroll to the factory reset option, then press Power to activate it. Press the volume keys to scroll to the Yes confirmation, then press Power to confirm.
6.When the reset is complete, press Power to choose reboot from the recovery menu.
the recovery doesn't show any menu beside it only show Android Cartone sleeping with Red [!] Sign.... for a while and reboot into normal.
Is that because the main ROM is not properly flashed that many the recovery module fail?

Hello. After bricking my device and getting it working again, I decided to factory set it. When it was booting, it came up with the yellow triangle. I can't seem to get out of it. PLEASE HELP. Thank you so much.
Edit to clarify: I wouldn't be so worried if this didn't happen while trying to reset my entire phone... Is there any way out of this? I can't seem to get into download mode.
Edit 2: It says SECURE FAIL: KERNEL at the screen and before the screen pops up, it says in the upper left hand corner in blue it says RECOVERY BOOTING...
Got it. Thank christ. Now Odin won't detect my phone.
Edit: I got it to work by holding volD+Home+Power. When the screen flashed the warning and is about to boot into the error, I pressed the volD button very fast until the warning for download mode came up.
EDIT: Surefire way to get into device: Make the screen go black if it isn't already by pressing the power button. After the screen goes black, hold down volDO+home for about two seconds and then, without releasing your fingers, start holding the power button. The download mode warning screen will flash briefly and then it will go off again. Once you see that screen flash, release your finger off of the power button. When the screen goes off, start holding the power button again. The next screen that loads should be the download mode warning. Instead of clicking "download mode" (unless that was your intent), click volDO to restart phone into regular mode.
Sorry, i am really new to this site, and never had a problem like this with a previous phone.
I get home from the grocery store and my phone is off, so it seems, plugged in it, got the M to pop up do the little world thing, then the screen goes to black,
i leave it to charge a little while, come back, and everthing on my phone is working , except for the actual display{now i know its not the display or screen because when i boot it there are no problems with the boot/restart} and if i touch around the screen it lightly vibrates, weird,
i put it to boot menu and my first time trying a normal restart nothing, so i go to motorolas website to get an application to back up my data or something get the motorola device manager and its useless, all it does is tell me my drivers are up to date, look around some more for an easy backup program can't find any except one that won't connect because i can't see where to press ok on the screen
just ended up copy pasting over all 5 gigs of hardrive space
i try to do factory reset, but if i click factory on the boot menu it just restarts it, if i go into recovery it pops up the picture of the opened android robot, and says no command, i have tried pressing volume up for 15 seconds, and then taping the power button to no avail,
interestingly enough once i managed to get the screen on for the phone then it faded to black like a screen saver never to come back.
Anyone know what i can do to unbrick the phone?a program that i can go in and restore it back to factory settings?
i recently updated to 5.0 maybe on friday, haven't had problems, or dropped phone since then
just extremely frustrating,
Recovery key combination was changed after lollipop. Press and hold power button for few seconds and then tap vol up (when you see android robot and no command)
Sent from my XT1033 using XDA Free mobile app
U can flash stock firmware also from your pc..press vol down + power button for fastbootmod then press vol down and then vol up and power button for recovery mod
My new rooted OP7 seems to be going well. Continuing with the set-up and doing back-ups every few steps.
One things that puzzles me is that I cannot power off the phone. When I select "Power Off" by long-pressing the power button, the phone goes to the screen that says "The boot loader is unlocked (…)" — at which stage all I can do is Volume minus/plus + Power, which reboots the phone.
If I go to the Bootloader and select Power Off, the same happens: the screen that says "The boot loader is unlocked".
I rarely switch off my phones so it's not a huge problem, but wonder if this is expected behavior on a rooted OP7.
Thanks in advance.
Hi! To power off your oneplus 7:
1: Long press the power button just until you feel the vibration (Without turning the phone off). About 2 seconds.
2. On the right side of the phone screen, there will be a vertical popup that gives you the option to a. Power off, b. Restart, c. Recovery, d. Bootloader, e. Screenshot.
Press a. Power off.
That will power that baby down.
(I am not sure if this is also your question, but I am writing it anyway ?). When powering on or rebooting the phone and you come across This Screen You Mentioned: "If I go to the Bootloader and select Power Off, the same happens: the screen that says "The boot loader is unlocked".
Do nothing, absolutely nothing, and the phone will boot normally.
I hopsies that answered your question.
Hey there!
Thank you for your reply.
What I was trying to say in my first post is that when I select "Power Off" from that vertical bar you mentioned, the phone does not power off, it goes to the screen that says "The boot loader is unlocked".
But actually, tried it again, and this time it did power off.
Maybe it's fixed!
My set-up is nearly complete.
Backup backup backup.

I don't know how to fix your issue but I can say that my Oneplus 7 is also rooted with magisk and it does not do that. Although when I try to charge my powered off phone it gets stuck on the bootloader unlocked warning screen until i reboot it with power button + vol up.

I think that's what I'm noticing:
- when the phone is unplugged, it's possible to power it off
- when the phone is plugged in, it's impossible to power it off (gets stuck on the screen that says "The boot loader is unlocked (…)", at which stage it's Volume+/- && Power.

It does not matter if the phone is still charging when it is in this state. But is it really charging ?
Everyone stop!!!!!!!
The Bootloader is Unlocked warning screen is Normal when rebooting the phone.
When it boots to that screen, Don't do anything.
Your phone will boot normally after it is done "warning" you that the phone is unlocked. It will do this after every reboot if you unlocked your bootloader.
Again, if it boots to the bootloader unlocked warning screen, Don't do anything.
It will start Normally, if you leave it alone.
This is Normal.
Again, Don't do anything when this screen shows up.
Your phone will finish booting afterwards and then it will show the boot animation and then it will show the lockscreen.
Again and again, you Do Not need to do Anything when this screen shows up. This is normal, your phone will boot after the warning screen goes off (about 1 min to 1 1/2 min).
Again and again and again, you Do Not need to anything when the warning screen shows up.
There is nothing wrong with the phone.
This is completely normal. (Although, that's what they said about puberty too...:cyclops
