I recently bought an SDXC Card, Samsung, 64GB Class 10 for my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. It was working, and then, I think I probably took it out without unmounting and it corrupted. I searched for a way to fix it, and found about mbrfix, which fixed the card and it`s now recognizable. Then I took it out again, tried to use it on the tablet, in vain, but when I went back to the PC, now it gives me a CRC error everytime I try to fix MBR or use DiskPart to clean/create a volume.
Chkdsk won't work because it's being read in RAW format, which doesn't work.
So my question is, how to, I don't know, "low format" or something like that?
The data inside is not important, I just would like to make the card usable again.

Have you tried the "official" formatter?

Official formatter only works when there is a volume.
My last try was with Low Format Tool from HDD Guru, but it gave me a bunch of errors in the process, so I'm not confident that my card is original anymore... So ended up buying another, but this tool should be able to Ignore errors and completely format anything, resetting all volumes (and no need for full wipe, that kills sd cards)

Ok. I understand that I sound like a complete idiot, but ive really searched and found nothing.
Backstory: had some software trouble in my X1 using itje's touch-it 5.something so i had to hardreset. Might as well try out his WM 6.5 ROM...
Now, when I enter bootloader it wont "active sync". (im on xp and i have the .NETframework 3.5 btw). As long as the phone is on i have no trouble syncing.
-buggers. oh, well this gives me a reason to try out the md-card method. But I cant for the love of my life find the info if my card is formatted to fat32 or not.
Ive tried resco explorer, but it says that my card might be locked..
In xp my storage card turns up as a folder, so no luck just checking properties there..
Any1 got any clues?

Since i dont own any adapter its not really helping me atm. thx for your respone tho.
Anyway, googled a bit more and realized that you dont have to be in bootloader to start the ruu.
Still wanna know tho. =)
I re-read your fist post, when in bootloader mode, active sync won't start. You'll just have a serial com port installed.
Dunno if it helps.
Ok. thx for the info.
Any clue on how to check the storage card to see if its fat32 or not?
Bought it unbranded from 3 in sweden in mid january containing a 4 gb card.

SD card is fine, but upon further testing I think the phone storage is lying and is only very small
Do you have root? Some Samsung phones (I don't know if it applies to clones too) fill /data partition with log files (many MB every day). You could navigate to /data/log (or similar) and delete all *.log.gz, *.txt.gz
A handy tool to check where is space wasted is Disk Usage
Also note that some EMMC need reboot to update free space records, so phone may report memory is still full until you reboot.
Ok, thanks for the tips. I have root, and will try your suggestions when I get time.
I think so some phones show the phone memory is full because the app installation space is full it differ to media storage rom so plz go to setting and go to app settings and move the most of heavy app to sd card i think so it may help and try it once..............and doing it power off once and then on it
Okay i wanted to root my LG L70 D320N and i've read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732311 , and i started step by step, i downloaded all stuff etc...
I've started and used Mini Tool Partition wizard to format sdcard into ext2, it worked. Now i needed to use Ext2 Volume Manager, and this is where problem occurs. I put my 32gb transcend microsdhc into my sdreader then in transcend usb reader. So when its already plugged in my pc, both programmes don't want to start, Mini Tool Partition Wizard and Ext2 Volume Manager, i click and run admin permission and nothing shows, then i need to turn off pc, start it again and first run programmes, and after they start i plug in reader, when i plug it in, it shows like its said on topic,

}
. And this where stuff gets annoying, i do as its said, "RightClick on your ext2 partition, choose "Ext2 Management"", and i click and my program begins not to work, and it shows that its not responding, then i restart my pc and do over and over and same thing happens. So what should i do now? Please help.

Hi, I was searching for reason, why i loose records from my dashcam and I found out today, sometimes, when I conect it to my Xiaomi mi9 lite via OTG, files go missing (names are still there, but size is 0):

It happens for newest files, 1 minute before connecting to phone, there was no data corrupion. File system is FAT32, chkdsk finds no errors. SD card is new, tested on few cards and it still hapens.
In this case, 40GB data is lost from 64GB card. Why this is happening? On my previous phone (Samsung J3 with custom ROM) worked normally.

Android works better with ext4 or f2fs than it does with FAT32.

Yea, I know, but most mobile devices support only FAT32, it's somewhat standard, despite of its flaws.
Rooted Coolpad catalyst on kingoroot 2 different devices one says 5gb the other says 8gb can anyone possibly explain the this? Pics below thanks for your time and consideration.

One shows the total space without excluding the space taken by system. (The whole chip)
The other one shows the space, excluding the system space. (User Data)
It's pretty obvious, and there's no mistake about it. It's like delivering the answer in two different ways.

Also I have been trying to get firmware to flash using QFIL do you have any ideas how I can get passed the PC only recognizing the device as only (Android Boot device ). It's not recognize to Port to flash the firmware package. Do you have any ideas or maybe anything I can try to maybe get the ports to for download mode?
