Hi please help me with the following:
I was running Cyanogen Mod 10.2, decided to update my phone with stock ROM.
Using ADB I re-locked my bootloader. The RUU which I downloaded does not complete the installation and says find a correct RUU.
Which I am not able to find. Now thinking back to roll-back to Cyanogen and unable to unclock the bootloader via ADB.
Please help with how to unlock the bootloader or with a right RUU:

Hi there,
I want to install Miui Rom on my Desire S (vodafone branded). I can achieve root
via SuperOneClick, but i have got Hboot 2.00.002 so i can't S-off my device.
Is there any way to install a custom recovery so i can install Miui or different Roms?
I tried to install CWM Recovery via Rom-Manager, it said "successfully installed" but when i boot into Recovery there is just a Smartphone
with a Red Triangle, so no custom recovery at all, i think it's because i don't have S-Off.
So, i only want to install some Roms, so i need a custom Recovery, how can i install it without s-off?
Here are some information about my phone:
HTC Desire S - Vodafone Germany Branded
Android Version 2.3.5
Sense 3.0
Software Number: 2.10.161.3
Baseband Version: 20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M
Build Number 2.10.161.3 CL156318 release-keys
HBoot 2.00.002
Bootloader is UNLOCKED via HTCDev
I Hope you can help me.
All you are achieving is temp root.
You can either unlock your bootloader with HTCdev, then flash a custom recovery or;
Downgraded to an older ROM and then s-off like normal.
Both are well discussed on forum.
And while you can, make goldcase, just in case you need it later.
Now I'm in the following Situation:
I've got S-On , Hboot 2.00.002, BUT Clockworkmod Recovery installed.
I did a Backup, wiped everything and installed the newest MIUI 2.1.20 i think, worked well in cwm, but when I reboot my phone it just stays at the HTC bootscreen.
My bootloader is unlocked via HTCdev.
So i have an unlocked bootloader, Clockwork Recovery but S-On, but custom Roms don't work... is it because of S-On ?
I tried to Downgrade but none of the tutorials worked for me, the problem was:
I pushed the 2 files misc_version and zergRush to /data/local/tmp and did the other adb commands, got (Temp)Root with zergRush and changed the Version to 1.27.405.6 i think, then I downloaded a HTC RUU (i've tried the vodafone UK but i live in Germany and the HTC Europe RUU) so my phone boots into HTC Bootloader but then the RUU Installer says "cannot install RUU because it's the wrong installer " or something like that...
so i don't know how i can downgrade to get S-Off?
you need to change the cid to install other ruus. or use the ruu matching your cid or
downgrade bootloader to the old one so revolutionary is working and s-off the device with revolutionary
I Just want to flash a custom Rom.
BUT Finally i got it!

This is the solution for installing custom roms without downgrading
Yeah you need to flash the boot/kernel afterward when on the 2.00.0002 hboot.
Hi all
I have a desire s
android 2.3
HBOOT ***unlocked***
saga pvt ship s-on rl
HBOOT 2.00.0002
I have rooted last year I think I used superoneclick and now I want to S-off to get update rom so far I have:
downloaded revolutionary=Device not supported,
HTC\dev gone through webside instructions a few times flashed the unlock code they sent cmd says succesfull but it did nothing to phone which just stayed in fastboot. (tried a few times on xp and win7)
tried running the ruu from htc but that fails saying wrong version error 155 (tried a few times for some reason it wont start on my xp but runs ok on win7)
now I am stuck, could anyone please help?
Thanks Paul
Run RUU with HBoot version of 0.98.0000 or 0.98.0002 to be able to S-OFF with Revolutionary.

Hi
First:
In order to use revolutionary s-off, you'd need to lower your software version number(misc_version)
1. Lock your bootloader- fastboot oem lock
2, then flash correct RUU -matching your CID
3.use revolutionary....
Second:
As you state in your bootloader screen info,
, htcdev unlock worked indeed- your bootloader is UNLOCKED-as you've said yourself-
, that's what it does...
Third:
If you wish to update-as you said-then update to what?
a) official RUU saga 4.0.4:
1.and foremost- you must lock your bootloader again in order to flash a RUU
2.if your device is branded by any mobile carrier- must create gold card
, in order to flash WWE version of the RUU
3. Certainly you flash that in fastboot
b) custom ics rom:
1. There are many to chose from- much more sofisticated than the official RUU 4.0.4 release
2. Not need to s-off realy in order to flash most of them
3. You only have to flash boot.img from the rom you're flashing,, via fastboot (again)
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146601
This is where it all begins
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143855
And that is where people could render some knowledge for you
Edit:
Last but not least:
Keep unlock_token from htc- in a safe place because
, if you decide to upgrade by the official RUU
, you must unlock bootloader again in order to flash any custom rom
, and you do it by that same key (unlock_token)....
When there are any troubles with connection < pc- phone > check your windows drivers
Thank you.
I was trying to flash official ics but I will go for a custom instead.
I see now where I was going wrong thanks I thought I had to unlock the Hboot by making it s-off to flash official rom of ics, thats why it was failing because its unlocked.
Thank you
Hi all,
I am currently stuck with a crashing version of CM9.1 on my HTC Sensation.I did not backup a rom.
It keeps boot looping when i try other roms and flashing the boot.img does not help.
CM9 seems to work but when it enters into the OS,it works for about 10 seconds before it freezes, crashes and restarts the phone.
I'm looking for a HTC__044 (SE ASIA WWE ) CID RUU which has a version > 1.50.401.1 OR any other alternative to help me solve my predicament.I'm kinda stuck.I'vetried finding for an SE ASIA WWE RUU but it's really hard to find these days.
My device stats are as follows:
UNLOCKED (via HTC DEV)
PYRAMID
S-ON
HBOOT IS 1.18
RADIO is 10.14.9035.01_M
Version-main is 1.50.401.1
I tried various methods like revolution.io to S-OFF and S-ON methods like enabling the last line in 4ext Recovery on the tools page (forgot what it was).
Help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
You have GingerBread radio and firmware.
You are trying to load an ICS ROM.
It will not work.
You need to flash a GB ROM.
Look HERE
Try that first.
I was wondering if I could get help to returning my htc one s back to stock. I failed miserably trying to install the liberty one s rom but now I'm so lost and confused I rather go back to where I relatively started. I don't know if this helps but I used moonshine for S-Off and while I tried loading the rom into my phone I only had about 48mb of internal phone storage I found out.
My phone right now:
Tampered
Lock
S-OFF
CID T-MOB010
HBOOT 2.16.0000
RADIO-1.13.50.05.31
Recovery: ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.4.8
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Download and run the official JB RUU. Then you will go back to stock.
You will have to relock the bootloader.
No need to lock your bootloader if you'll install a custom ROM later. If you want better security lock it and get back to S-ON.
Hi all,
Needing a bit of help getting my One X back to stock with OTA. I've flashed the rom from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2458291
Bootloader was unlocked and I also flashed the stock recovery, but can't get past ~25% when installing the 12mb 'heartbleed' update.
Info about device:
S-ON
HBOOT: 1.36
CID: HTC_044
Radio: 5.1204.162.29
Any ideas on how to proceed from here? I believe it has something to do with my HBOOT, but I can't figure out how to update it (to something like 1.73). Would be good if it was possible to directly flash a 4.4.4 ROM, but don't think that would be possible with the current HBOOT.
Thanks
