Yesterday I decided to try out the latest android released for our adorable sensations
The problem appeared not unexpectably at all: it wasn't new for me that cm roms have low sensitivity of wifi. Some time ago I found a rom page which discribed how to deal with it, but, unfortunately, I cannot find it again. The wifi radio worked excellent with all Viper roms. Any ideas?
Right now my phone is running albinoman's 4.4.2

Hello guys,
i'm not completly new to this forum. i've tried many roms, still searching for the perfekt
so i decided to register, because i will help reporting bugs, etc.
the problem is, i can't post in the developer-section.
I installed the cyanogen mod v6.5.1 for the lg p500. I tried the "stable" version (v6.3) but it didnt worked well. 6.5.1 works well, but my wifi get no good signal. with the stock-rom, or others like void, optimusxrom or openoptimus, there was no problem. and if i move closer (My room is on the ground floor and the router 2 floors up) to the router it works. now i plugged in the p500 and bufff....it get a signal. is there any way that i can set the signal-strength higher?
(sry, for my english, its long time ago that i had it in school )
Hi, i'm new to posting here but not all that new to rooting and custom roms.
I am however having a problem getting the wi-fi to work on my S2.
For the last few months I have been running the embryo 5.2 and wi-fi didn't work, I chalked it up to a problem with the rom and everything else worked fine so I let it go. I finally decided to upgrade to a new jelly bean rom and I am still having the same problem. The wi-fi won't turn on. I can move the slider over from off to on, but it will usually drop itself back to off, and the screen will forever say "Turning on... "
I am currently running the Jedi rom, and the radio is ucll3.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
cyanogenmod team has been developing the best and most stable Roms since rooting, they do the best in making them bug free but Roms cant replace Stock that is nearly perfect
- the stock camera app that works and takes pretty good pictures/videos whereas the camera app on cyanogenmod 10 or below takes nasty pictures, design/interface is crappy but overall it works
- Data/mobile network connection is worse than when am running android stock, because am always gettin EDGE (2G) speeds, sometimes gettin nothin and i get mobile network disconnected, APN is fcked up, it doesnt load up web pages/download apps since its fcking slow plus 3G/4G comes back when am at the city and there is a good connection (EDGE)/2G/nothing comes along when i hit the country side.
fix it, iknow there are other ROMs that i can use but Cyanogemod is close enough to be classified as GOOD AS STOCK CAN BE
other problems lies on the Rom but this are the only important/relevant one i could find
i believe in their hardwork to give the consumer the best/most stable ROMS/FIRMWARE but there are things to be fixed like the two i stated above
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S3 I747 on stock jelly bean (4.1.1)
thanks
Not sure if this is relevant to you as my phone is a HTC Desire HD, but I had network problems on my DHD running CyanogenMod 10.1 Unofficial until I flashed the latest radio.
Turns out there were compatibility issues with the older radio firmware.

I think that you should friend try the new official version of CyanogenMod 11 is now available on the website of cyanogenmod, I have tested and works correctly, but honestly expected much more, I prefer the cyanogenmod 11 Temasek is infinitely better in my opinion.
a greeting.:good:
Hello guys, I've been having problems with my One S and i hope you can help me out.
I noticed lately that the signal has gotten A LOT worse than what it used to be. Its sort of on and off. Most of the time is gets bad and I have little to no bars, even in places where i used to get full reception. This is really becoming an issue, as T-Mobile coverage in my area is already bad enough.
I am running the latest version of the PAC Man ROM, though i don't think it's relevant since this was going on before i flashed it a few days ago. I did a search to see if i could flash another radio, but found nothing.
My second issue is my battery life. I went through the trouble of updating my hboot so i could run the latest version of my ROM that included the new 3.4 Kernel. I noticed ever since i flashed it, my battery life has been terrible. I know this is a known issue, but i don't run CM10 so i can't flash the nightlys that are supposed to fix it. Can anyone recommend a kernel?
here is the ROM I'm currently running: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2164406
Thanks

Hello all,
Have been striking out on ways to solve this. I flashed the newest CM10 about 4 days ago, and so far have been lucky to get 1 bar in outdoors areas where I usually get full bars. Indoors is essentially a no-go for signal. Wi-Fi cuts in and out.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I haven't flashed a radio since I was using HDR about a year ago, not sure if that will have an impact. Can't figure out why updating from February 10th CM10 to June 30th CM10 would cause such a reversal in quality. Using the specified firmware as per CM10 thread.
Thanks in advance
Bump for insight.
Maybe you can make a nandroid backup and try flashing albinoman's cm10.1 ROM. It seems to have a build.prop setting related to T-mobile data drop which you can probably give a try
So I flashed Albinoman's 10.1, unfortunately still getting frequent Mobile network drops on T-Mobile 0 Bars in every building since flashing, intermittent connection outside.
Edit: I was under the mistaken impression that the build.prop change was *default* in Albinoman's build. It is not, the change still has to be made in build.prop. Will report back with update.
Scratch that - No improvement making the build.prop change.
