So i wiped my internal sd card when i was trying to get rid of multirom and switch to the rom i wanted. we the phone is wiped i still have my TWRP recovery but i cannot get the phone to connect to my mac at all and i tryed using my buddies win7 which we rooted and unlocked his nexus 4 on with adb. im lost on how to get a new rom on there to install any help would be terrific.
You're going to have to get one of the pc's to recognize your device to adb sideload or push a Rom on to your phone Google tool adb fastboot drivers xda. Try that on the win machine.
Also, make sure your using usb 2.0 ports, not 3.0 and user the cable that came with the phone

How did you manage to wipe the internal SD trying to get multiROM to work? Did you not read?
Use this on your buddies pc or equivalent windows 7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
download any ROM
This is how you sideload: http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/2013/12/ow-to-use-adb-sideload.html
No I read it and was half passed out when I wiped data in twrp and accidently hit the wrong button. I've been up with my son all night and been trying to just have dirty unicorn ROM instead of both stock 4.4.2 and du. Thank you for the reply

Alright I got it, thank you for the help. I ended up installing a dual boot on my hackintosh with win7 and went through all that, but if I had already had that it would have taken lest time. Once I had all the working drivers and downloads it only took about 15-30 min max before I had my device back and running DU by itself without multirom. Thanks again for the help!!!!

Are you able to mount to windows when connected to usb in recovery?
Also what happens when you power it on holding both power + volume (bootloader mode)?

reinstall drivers and check that when u plug it in, the pc is seeing the nexus go to device manager and see if its recognized mand doesnt have an exclamation sign, if there is one, while plugged in, reinstall the drivers
to learn how to install drivers and getting the correct files: http://nexusshacks.com/nexus-s-root/how-to-root-nexus-s-or-nexus-s-4g-on-ics-or-gingerbread/
or try to flash stock via fastboot (maybe u will need to reinstall the drives, just check if its recognized under device manager):
little tutorial i made for another guy once (sorry my english and accent): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10_N_vV-7NQ&list=UUTsL8yOHOK7IUQl2tsKId5A&index=1
xda tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572307&highlight=stock
eventhough in the thread they say u need java sdk and all that u only need fastboot file and the rom image donwloaded the google dev website

Well I hope when u say "it doesn't do anything" that u weren't expecting something to pop up on the screen. If it mounts u can only tell by clicking.... My computer then drive "___" its probably drive f or g.
If it pops up then ur good. Add the ROM & gapps.
But worse case do what the previous post suggests.
Good luck

Hi,
I have a challenge here. I forgot my Pin and wanted to hardware reset it but I can't get into recovery. If I try I sec the lying Android with the red triangle for about 1 second and then its just black and I have to take the battery out.
I tried all possible tools on linux and windows. ADB and fastboot dont recognize it, Drivers are correctly installed. because Windows recognizes it.
Here some Screenshots
1. what windows sees when connected when its on in Pin Screen
2. what it looks like when connected in fastboot mode
3. what the devices and printers page see when its on
Odin doesn't see it. The Unbrickable Tool under Linux does see it but does not work.
I tried everything I could find, so now I post here for more ideas. :good:
Thanks in advance
Lock the bootloader and unlock it again.
It will factory reset your device.

I tried on a Ubuntu System, a Debian System, a Windows XP System and a Windows 7 System.
Also I tried at least 3 different driver packages.
And this is not my first experience, I have a Nexus 7 and a Galaxy Phone which are both rooted, custom rom etc.. so I am not total clueless about the topic
Uninstall all drivers COMPLETELY and just install 1 driver. I prefer/suggest PDANet drivers.

Is your bootloader unlocked? Do you have a custom recovery? If you can boot into twrp it's fairly straight forward to access your files.

The first thing you need to do is install fastboot and adb on your pc. Google 15 second adb install xda.
Then download the twrp image from here http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/hammerhead. Rename it twrp for simplicity.
When you get that done go into the folder where twrp is and in an open area in that folder shift, right click. A drop down box should open and you can open a command window here.
Boot your derive into the bootloader, connect it to your pc and in that command window type
fastboot boot twrp.img
That'll boot you into twrp.
Once in twrp go to into mount and make sure mtp is enabled. Then it should be as easy a copy and paste from your device to your pc.

It's not making a backup per say, You're just copying the files to your pc. You'll have to copy them back to your device once you get it sorted out
Ps, this will only get your pics and music. It won't backup your apps.

When last time I checked the mtp feature in twrp it was bugging. The only way I could make it work was to enable mtp and restart the phone to recovery WHILE it was connected to the pc.

The Problem with my Nexus 5 is that when ever i boot my Nexus 5 up it stays stuck in the Google Logo With the Unlocked Icon on the bottom. Also, whenever i go into bootloader and i go to my Recovery Mode (Using CWR) I cleared my Cache and Dalvik Cache, Reboot and it doesn't Fix it. Since I Have Android SDK and Android Debug Bridge (ADB) on my PC i tried to reinstall Android Lollipop on my Nexus 5 And for some odd reason in the bootloader screen I plugged in my Nexus 5 to my PC, but my PC does not want to Recognize my Nexus 5, and when i run the Flash-all.bat it say's, "< waiting for device >", when i do have my Nexus 5 Plugged in.
If there's anyway you can help my solve this please tell me!

DUDE, I held my power button for about 15 long-seconds and the device turned on like it wasn't Hard-Bricked O.O? After i had confirmed that my Nexus 5 had no signs of life by going to sprint and showing them my device, i held it's Power button for a Long time as a last resort and it just came back to life?!??! Can ANYONE Explain this, or is my phone a God? Also, my volume down rocker broke after i was pressing it really hard at an attempt to go to Recovery Mode, Then it started working when i showed it to my Bro'. Is my Phone normal?
