[GAME][4.0+][FREE] MoWo, your next (and last) word game - Android Apps and Games

Hey guys, just wanted to make mention of my word game app, MoWo (short for More Words). It's basically a simple, minimalistic word game I made in a month based on a custom-made game engine. In single player mode, you can play against a timer or without a timer (endlessly), and in multiplayer mode you can play against friends/strangers. It supports Facebook integration as well as a custom username login service.
Now, why not integrate with Google Play Games Services? One word: multiplatform. I plan on releasing this game on iOS (and Windows Phone?) as well so using G+ Games/Login would not suffice due to iOS's lack of Google+ multiplayer support. So to future-proof my game, I use Facebook and a username login. People have complained about this but I'm sure they won't be when they're able to play against their iOS friends.
The game is free to download, no ads, and only one cosmetic (unhindering) IAP to unlock more letter colors, which can be unlocked through regular gameplay anyway.
Download link to Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nasahapps.morewords
I'm always updating the app to fix any unforeseen bugs or add any little cosmetic features, so if there's anything wrong or feel needs to be improved, just shoot me an email at [email protected].

[APP][FREE] Game Rankings app

Hey all,
I just wanted to announce I've released a new app on the Android Market. It's called Game Rankings. The basic idea is it allows you to keep track of wins and losses of various games with your buddies and develop a leaderboard to show how well everyone has been doing. It uses the ELO ranking system made popular by chess tournaments, and it works for any one-v-one or team-v-team game or sport. We've been using an earlier build of this at my work to keep track of our ping-pong games, and it's been working well enough that I decided to release it publicly.
Right now it's completely free and open source. In the future I'll be adding a server-side component to allow users to use the same groups across multiple devices. Unfortunately I'll have to charge for that feature to cover server costs, but off-line groups will remain free. It will just be an in-app purchase to convert an off-line group into an online group.
The current version supports Android 2.1 and above, and is also optimized for tablets and GoogleTV (when v2 goes public). Online groups, when implemented, will require 2.2+ (for C2DM).

I'd love to hear some of your feedback. Either comment here or put an issue on the Google Code page.
Thanks

[GAMES] Classic Arcade Crazy Tilt Challenge! (MAME)

Classic Arcade Crazy Tilt Challenge is new MAME build with built-in global scoreboard.
* Pre-release is available for testing on Android devices (phones & tablets).
Scores are kept on-line, but they are also shown in-game, if the game has scorebaord. There are also extended scoreboards you can access via menu, so for the games that only store one high-score like Pac-Man, they now have full (15 places) scoreboard all together with initials. The same "automated scoreboard syncing system" can be implement on a PC MAME as well, let me know if you think there is interest for it to be made.
Beside global scoreboard this build also features new input method for mobile devices utilizing accelerometer (G-sensor). It's unlike any sensor input you may have tried with some other mobile games or emulators. If you think sensor control is clumsy, unresponsive and completely unsuited for arcade games, prepare to be surprised. Track and Field, you run by shaking the phone! See this:

There is only one account per device possible. Your device ID is both your user name and password, logging is automatic. Only the first time you log in you will need to choose your player-name. Player-name can have 10 characters, but first 3 letters must be unique among all registered users, they will be your in-game initials. Don't bother writing initials in the game, after sync all your scores will be renamed to your chosen Player-name.
Don't forget to log in before playing for the record. Data usage is minimal, there is never permanent connection with the server. You only connect briefly each time you sync (login/logout), and every time transfer is less than half a kilobyte, really tiny. You can sync after each game, but you don't have to. Score syncing is done automatically when you login and logout, or manually any time you want to see if anyone posted any new scores since your last sync, or to upload yours.
Games available in this test-build (CrazyTilt_059.apk):
commando
digdug
dkong
elevator
gyruss - no in-game initials yet
mpatrol
mslug - no scoreboard yet
mrdo
pacman
pacmanm
paperboy - no scoreboard yet
popeyebl
qbert - no scoreboard yet
scramble
starwars - no scoreboard yet, on small screens turn scale/stretch & image smoothing
timeplt
trackfld - no scoreboard yet, run by going left-center or right-center, not full left-right
yiear - button 3 = butt.1+butt.2
If input seem unresponsive disable vibration feedback. If you see game struggle try switching to AUTO Frame Rate, or perhaps better yet find some fixed frame rate (50, 45, 40, 30, 20, 15 fps), but it really depends on the type of game which option may produce better results. Even the crappiest Android devices phones/tablets should run most of these games at full speed, with possible exceptions of mslug, starwars and paperboy, but they play really well at 15fps on my crappy phones, which doesn't look too bad on small screens at all.
Do not forget to switch appropriate joystick mode because you will not be able to properly play 4-way games in 8-way or analog mode. In this build machines do not reset yet, so they do not collect tokens and do not pay out any tokens. Please don't mind if I reset scoreboards manually and delete some of your well earned records, we are just testing. If you have time try to post at least two records on each game that has support for it, or as many as records you can. Once you think you have tried it enough I'd like you to tell me about things you did NOT like or think could/should be better or simpler. Have fun!
Ok, due to lack of interest I will stop following this thread. Anyone interested to try it out before the release, or perhaps help me with testing (playing), can still find me here: smf.webng.com/crazytilt

[GAME][2.1+] Crazy Wheels

Hi guys!
I've just released my second project to the Play Store, and it's a FREE 2D game in which you control a truck and race it to the finish line. The levels are easy at first, but then get tricky as you progress. There are 16 of them for starters, but I'm preparing new levels for every update!
The feature list goes like this:
•customize your car (suspensions, wheel size and more!)
•customize control options*
•realistic 4 wheel drive
•level variety
•addictive gameplay
•build for new and old hardware (has an ugly mode for very old phones)
You can try it out, from its Google Play Store page--> http://goo.gl/SBULv
And you can follow us on Facebook--> http://goo.gl/Z6YEO
We're open to opinions, and ideas! For support you can always e-mail us:

Fun game.
Maybe you should integrate the "about" and support in the screen. The motor noise in the menu's is quite disturbing.
Oh, and you won't need the wakelock permission, I think. Intuitively, I would choose to place the steering on the left, and the gas/brake on the right.
The first level I played was quite hard
Hey thanks for trying it out, you're our first "customer" for this game
I understand, I will be trying to see how I can make options for the controls to be customized. By the way, if you go to Options, you'll see there are a couple of control options (although I personally prefer those I've made default).
With the engine noises I'm not that happy, and that's currently being worked on.
Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it!
New update this weekend with lots of fixes, and improvements!
Game is very nice, but graphics could be better.
Why there is no question when you turn the game to on/off sound?
Hello, and thank you for trying out Crazy Wheels!
To answer your post, we are working first on a sound update, then we will update the graphics, so the game will look more polished. The update schedule is one new version a week, so we don't affect our user's data plans.
Regarding the sound toggle, we thought that having it in a menu, instead of a simple button, would prevent accidental turning on/off.

Licence Violation
This game is obviously based on my game - "Wheelz".
You have broken the terms of the General Public Licence I published the source code under. This is completely unacceptable, and illegal.
The terms are very liberal - but you have broken them, taken a game that is Free software, and closed it for your own personal gain.
You seem to have made no attempt to contact me and ask if you can re-use my code under a licence other than the GPL.
I have submitted a copyright infringement notice to Google before sending this message.
I suggest you immediately:
-publicly apologize at the start of you games description on the Google play store.
-contact me to find out what terms you may keep distributing this game on.
-generally be more ethical.
If you follow these actions, we can probably come to an amicable agreement.
My email is [email protected] - though you did know that having removed it from the source code...

In-app purchase filtering

Google Play allows to browse for free applications. Hovewer with introducing in-app purchase it's useless. In-app purchase makes many games a demo. Is there an application which allow for filtering for true free applications? I think google should mark apps with in-app purchase so it would be clear for everybody who install. Now I need to dig through comments to know it.
Next thing is lack of ability to completely block in-app purchase. I'm afraid to leave my daughter with my phone and game using in-app purchase. It's like giving monkey a gun...
Lately AppStore shows " In-app purchase" in applications's description
And now a have it in google play. Why it's mixed with totally free apps?
While not answering all your questions, you can set a password for app purchase. If your daughter can remember a 26 characters alphanumeric password containing uppercase, lowercase, special characters and numbers then I lift my hat to her.
Yeah I did something like this... But filtering should be fair. If somebody gives totally free application, no ads, no demo (in-app purchase very often mean this), not crippled in any way, it must fight with app that has budget to promote it, but isn't free at all, because most features without in-app purchase doesn't work. Yet both are in the same category
I especially hate PTC (Pay To Cheat) "games" - I say games in quotes because it's not really fair to even call them games anymore when you can, or even in some cases have to, pay to win. Clash Of Clans is one example.
Google is breaking their promise to "do no evil" by continuing to host apps such as Clash Of Clans.
It makes me extremely frustrated that I don't see any options in the Google play app to filter out apps with "in app purchases".
I wonder how hard it would be for us to add that (mod/patch) to the Play app?
It's good idea for xposed module

[GAME][2.1+] Wrong Direction - Parody Game

Ready for an addictive time sensitive game? Wrong Direction is for you!
Based off the members of One Direction, you hit Nial, Zayne, Liam, Louis, and Harry before the clock hits zero.
Directioners, play this before you're mad that Harry dated Taylor Swift instead of you.
Haters, play just because of hate.
The time to hit the next member goes down with every hit, every miss, do you have the skills to keep going?
This app features parodies of One Direction's hits like "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Live While We're Young".
Play on your phone or tablet with a very universal layout.
Social Network integration like Facebook and Google Plus along with Google Play Services will soon be integrated.
I would really appreciate your feedback and support. I am not a graphic artist (still struggle with stick figures) so this is just your basic casual game.

Download it here on the Google Play Store
So please let me know what you think
