Unable to Change Bootloader (accidentally installed wrong bootloader) Galaxy S3 I747 - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to install the latest Cyanogen Mod, but when I do, I get an assert error. I figured out through research that this is because the newest versions require an updated bootloader. So I naturally found the latest bootloader for my model and pushed it to my SD card to install it. However, when I try to install it with CWM, I get an error saying "You cannot flash from your current bootloader version. Current version: T999UVDLJA (Status 7).
I must have stupidly installed the wrong bootloader for my device? The strange thing is that my phone is a t-mobile phone, or so it says on the back, but the "about phone" section of my settings tells me it's the model SGH-I747, which is ATT. I bought it used, so I have no idea which it actually is. My question is, how do I change my phone's bootloader to the newer version so I can install the latest CM?
Thank you in advance!
EDIT
I have found that my model is definitely SGH-T999. It seems that my CWM is installed for ATT, and so is my current version of Slim Rom. I am unable to install the CM Rom due to the fact that my CWM doesn't accept tmo files, and my bootloader isn't compatible. So now what?

[Q] Clarification on how to install CM10 Stable

So I recently got a SGS3 for verizon and I was looking to install CM10 on it. On the CM wiki it says that "CyanogenMod on the Verizon variant of the Galaxy S3 you need to load an older bootloader."
I'm not clear to whether this means I just need an unlocked bootloader (which I have now from EZ Unlock) or if I need an entirely different bootloader, because looking at some forum posts for the official CM10.1, it only mentions that I need updated CWM or TWRP.
Any help would be appreciated.

I installed it without modifying my bootloader, just rooted, unlocked and flashed CWM then flashed many CM ROMs (10 nightly's, 10 stable and 10.1 nightly's)
root. unlock bootloader. download rom manager from store. flash away in recovery.
do a search, theres guides EVERYWHERE.

There are guides everywhere, but they don't mention the need to flash an older bootloader, yet the how-to guide on the cm wiki says to. A little odd don't you think. I just want to get my facts straight before I turn my 2 day old sgs3 into a brick.

What they mean by the older bootloader is to unlock it. The way we unlock the bootloader is with a leaked EC build that was never officially released for our phone. So just do what others are saying, backup your imei/custom recovery/root/unlock bootloader and flash away
Thanks, that cleared up things for me.
But one more question, I didn't accept the OTA to JB when I first got this phone and I'm still on ICS, can I go from ICS to JB or would I have to accept the OTA/ flash JB through odin first?
This also applies to if I wanted to go from jb to ics. Can I just flash an ics Rom over a jb Rom or is Odin required.

Samsung Transform Ultra (Boost) Bootloader

I want to, like everyone, safely install a custom ROM. I have my phone rooted, ClockWorkMod is installed and all that good stuff. Now, how do I check if the bootloader is locked on my Samsung Transform Ultra (Boost Mobile)? How can I then, if it is not unlocked (the bootloader), go about unlocking it? I've searched everywhere I can think and on here. I see countless posts referring to rooting and how to install custom ROMs , but NOTHING about either unlocking the bootloader or checking if it is already unlocked so you can safely do so... So, anyone have any hints or clues?
Oh, and is there a ROM I can install without unlocking the bootloader for this phone? I thought it might be possible if the ROM supported this locked bootloader.
Info:
Phone/Model Number: Samsung Transform Ultra (SPH-M930BST)
Carrier: Boost Mobile
Android Version: 2.3.6
Baseband Version: S:M930.02 x.FF27
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.FF27
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7
Rooted, has ClockworkMod installed. Terminal, Root File Explorer and other tools installed.
Worth Mentioning?: I had this same phone, but Sprint. Followed instructions to Install a MegaTron ROM, it seemed to successfully install, but failed to restart and it was bricked. I just wanna be sure it's safe on the current one I have and not mess up the bootloader.

Help with flashing stock rom

Hi guys,
I've got a SM G9208, which came from Taiwan.
Yesterday I tried to install TWRP 2.8.7.2 and when it booted, it is non responsive, I couldn't press anything and couldn't swipe where it says swipe for modification at the bottom. This is flashed through the TWRP manager thingy.
So I thought i might as well go back to stock recovery because I can't seem to boot into the phone at all with this recovery. So I downloaded G9208ZMU2COK8_G9208CHM2COK8_G9208ZMU2COK8_HOME.tar.md5 from the sammobile website thinking that thats the one i needed, which turns out to be a mistake. Now my phone's got a chinese firmware, instead of the taiwan firmware. I tried to flash the taiwan firmware G9208ZTU1BOH2_G9208ZZT1BOH2_BRI, but it says sw rev check fail device 2 binary 1. I think this is because the bootloader for the china one is newer than the taiwan one?
Does anyone know how I can install the taiwan rom now?
also, i've tried flashing TWRP 2.8.60, 6.1, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2 all to no avail.
I couldn't use my sim at all previously, but then i flashed the taiwan modem.bin and at least I have signal now.
Thanks!

[Completed] In need of help and advice to get back to stock 02uk

I providing as much information as i can (and think you need) for your help.
My HTC M8 when I bought it new from the store it came with lollipop on the 02uk network, I then got the official update to marshmallow. I was quite happy with this but needed an app that required root.
So I unlocked my bootloader, downloaded openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-m8 and installed SuperSU via the recovery. But something went wrong, when I rebooted there was no OS installed, I must have accidentally deleted it. But I hadn’t made a nandroid backup at this point.
Since then I have been trying to get back to stock. I research and looked around the only way I can flash marshmallow is if I go further and pay for S-Off.
So my plan was to Install back to stock Lollipop then get the upgrade again to marshmallow.
Even this proved to be difficult. And is where I could use some advice.
My CID is HTC 02__001 So I found the Nandroid collection on XDA and downloaded
1.54.206.5 - TWRP
1.12.206.17 – TWRP
The latest updates for these seem to be very old (not Lollipop) but I gave it a shot installed the roms, the recovery and locked the bootloader. Then went to upgrade all the way to where I was. Unfortunately, after so many updates the WIFI stopped working and I was unable to upgrade further., ad the only way of repairing was reflashing the rom.
In the settings, I noticed my build number was 4.16.401.13 and remember seeing this version in the collection
So used the stock recovery from that and flashed the rom, then locked the bootloader.
The 4.16 is the international version CID__001 while this got me straight to lollipop I don't have the original bootup screen with the 02 animation. And when I go into the updates there is only 3 security updates not marshmallow.
I did attempt to download and flash OTA Marshmallow when i done this from
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-m8/news/
but kept running into errors with the bootloader signiture check, I then realised its because I needed S-Off
So at the moment I am on 4.16 international, I have unlocked the bootloader and running TWRP recovery until I can figure this out.
Would I be right in thinking I cannot use 1.54 recovery with 4.16 rom as a restore?
Or are there files that I have overlooked for 02uk lollipop stock rom and recovery?
Also if needed my baseband version 1.29
This thread is no longer needed, After extensive searching and looking at loads of different sites and options I found http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/tutorial-how-to-stock-stock-twrp-t3086860
Which was able to help me fully restore.

That damn can't downgrade message!

I tried to downgrade my phone to earlier Samsung firmware, but the download failed with "pit_flash_binary unsupported version". Now I wonder - would I get out of trouble if I installed some custom bootloader, then restored Samsung bootloader, then uploaded older firmware? If yes - can I get a link to some instructions?
