GeoGuess is a game similar to GeoGuessr on the PC, in which you are transported to a random street view location and have to work out where you are
Features:
Random locations - Could be anywhere where Street View is set up
Google Play Games integration - Leaderboards and achievements to challenge your friends (G+ sign-in required)
Against the clock mode - how quickly can you guess where you are?
Fun and educational - Improves geological awareness (and guessing skill!)
Awesome menu screen, random locations as background (slow to load on bad connections, can be disabled on start)
Game modes:
Free mode - Casual play, take as long as you like
Against the clock - Set a time and guess where you are before the countdown reaches zero
In the future I'm planning on adding a multiplayer mode, so you can play your friends properly, using Google Play Games
Note: You will need Google Street View and Google Play Services installed to use this app, though Play Services should be installed automatically on your phone by Google
Options:
Number of rounds per game - How many random locations do you want per game (note: only games with 4 rounds count towards the leaderboard)
Unit of distance - km/miles
Time (against the clock mode) - How long the countdown runs for

StandOut by @pingpongboss
DateTimePicker - Modified to get the time picker (0-11, no AM/PM, "m" [":"], "s" ["am"])
Support v4 Preference Fragment
HoloEverywhere
CardsUI & Silk

How Does it Work?
This is more of a developer post, but it's actually fairly simple:
Using StandOut you are able to display overlays over apps easily
What the app does is generates a random street view location (try it here [check the URL after loading]), and then opens a Street View intent with that longitude and latitude and an overlay with guess and quit buttons
It also has a background service that checks Street View is still open (quits if the user presses home or back)
When the user presses "Guess", it launches a dialog with a map on it, they place a marker and it tells them how far off they were and awards points accordingly.
The way it awards points is exactly the same as GeoGuessr, so technically you could have PC and phone tournaments, but GeoGuess has more random locations (as they're generated on the spot), so should be slightly harder
The against the clock mode is exactly the same, but also shows a second window with the countdown, and when it hits zero, it opens the window declaring the user has not guessed in time, awarding no points

Update:
1.2
Sorry for the delay, uploads to Google Play were broken this weekend
Area Chooser
Don't like random locations from a certain area? Disable it.
Want to challenge your friend's knowledge of Europe? Disable all the areas except Europe
New menu settings
Improve startup time in normal mode by changing the number of images and set to one per row
Bug fixes - including broken share link

Hello everyone!
I wanted to tap in to the exceptional world of XDA for some help with my game development efforts. I have been working on this game for a couple of weeks now, and have it to a point where I need some more eyes, ears, and thoughts from outside sources.
The name of the game is LifeQuest, and is going to be a GPS-based treasure hunt/rpg style game. There will be what is called 'nodes' that you have to walk to using the map in order to interact with them. Some nodes will be plants/flowers, some will be dig sites that may contain money/items, some will be treasure chests with more money and items, some will be rare treasure chests with a lot of money and epic items, some will be artifacts that need to be interpreted from an interpreter NPC in a city, some will be 'veins' where you will mine metals, and some will be item drops from other players.
Major US cities, as well as some towns, will be 'hubs' where you will find an auction house, merchants, forges, quest boards, etc. There will be a quest engine and probably be able for players to create quests that other players can do.
I was thinking a traveling merchant may randomly pop up close by so you could do some of the things you can do in a city right there.
Would love for some feedback on the game on any/all of the following areas:
GPS accuracy and update interval
Are nodes getting created near you
Position of screen elements
Ease of interaction
Bugs or problems noticed
Ideas for content, game design, etc
When you install the game, to create an account, just type in a username/password and click login. It will automatically create an account and character for you.
For testing purposes, you can interact with nodes from very far away.
Official release notes are below for the Alpha 4 release:
----------------------------------------------------------------
LifeQuest - Alpha 4 Release
Updates
- Big changes to the character menu screen including new xp bar, money icons, etc
- Added an Options button on the character menu screen to allow disabling music, sound, and auto-follow
- Changes to options are persistent even if app is closed.
- Hopefully music fixed when app is not in view
- Hopefully maps show up instead of just gray grid
- Accounts now working with characters
- Character select screen
- More lootable items
- Rare Treasure Chests require A Golden Key to unlock (key will be obtained through quest later. For now, it drops in a digsite or regular treasure chest.
- Temporary focus-on-character icon in the bottom-left corner
Bugs
- Keyboard showing up when app brought back to focus.
- If you back out of app, go back in and choose a character, it will force close. After this, it will work again.
- Distance threshold for updating nodes too far when walking
- App eventually crashes when trying to update during every GPS location event (highway driving speeds)
Todo
- Add quest engine
- Make loot table for digsites/treasure chests based on current level
- Add NPCs in nearby cities/towns for buying/selling items, quests, forges, potions, etc
- Add a 'traveling' merchant that randomly shows up on map with a node update. This will allow buying/selling items without having to go to a city.
- Add artifact nodes that have to be interpreted by an NPC at a city to know what it is
- Add nodes for ore
- Account creation screen
- Character creation screen
- Auction house
- Friends list
- Character equipment slots
- Logic for equipping items from inventory

[GAME][2.2+] JumpRoll - 3D arcade game (v1.24 - controls tweak)

I've made an arcade game (3D) called JumpRoll and I want to share with you - it is available on Google Play.
The idea is simple - player have to move through whole level, hop on the green hexagon and stop there. But the way to that 'green point' can be hard.
It is my first android app, I need some feedback to know if something's wrong.
my tips:
Don't try to constantly roll, there is no time limit, so you can stop as many times as you want. If you have to change direction, there is no problem if you stop, rotate the view and start rolling again. Same with jumps, you can stop and jump (gaining momentum is possible while jumping)
Game manual:
- Use touchscreen to move and rotate the ball,
- tap anywhere while rolling to jump,
- to adjust steering sensitivity use settings button in main menu,
- to restart level or finish the game, simply use your back button,
- level ends when the ball is placed on the green hexagon. Player need to press back button to confirm score.
The more stars in less attempts the better, share your score!
Awkward Rules:
- Step on the center of the block to gain points,
- Blue blocks become red when touched,
- Red blocks will decrease player's score,
- Block can be touched only once or player's score will be decreased,
- Player can jump over two blocks,
- Epic power can rotate or move blocks and because of that power, player is not able to move - He must jump!
Updates:
Code:
version 1.24:
- added acceleration sensitivity setting in settings menu,
- new UI background,
- score view is now on top.
version 1.23:
- facelifting ;)
version 1.22:
- No more ads during gameplay (!)
- another acceleration tweak (this time for larger screens),
- bugfix with attempts counter
version 1.21:
- ball acceleration is now correct (It was too fast on devices other than Galaxy Nexus),
- auto-reset if you fall,
- from now on, if you touch the green hexagon it is impossible to fall.
version 1.2:
- much higher performance (!),
- new textures,
- new in-game background.
Screenshots:

Small update is out!
If the game was unplayable, try to tweak new settings
Version 1.24:
- added acceleration sensitivity setting in settings menu,
- new UI background,
- score view is now on top.
Fine!
Wow, this is awesome.Nice game. Very entertaining

Come On everyone Download it FAST!! HURRY UP!!!
You really gonna love it!! :good:
Please bring back black interface instead of white. White is too distracting and also consumes more battery on a lot of screens.

I like it, do you have an apk for those of us without (or would prefer to go without) Google Play? Thanks
Some maps are completely wrong.
For example the map of Indonesia, it's so inaccurate that it's unusable.
The concept is very nice though, still as said above a black background would be much better than the current white...

{Free} Light Pollution Map

Light Pollution Map allows you to easily locate dark sites where the sky will not be affected by light pollution, allowing the best observance, star gazing, and photography of the night sky.
Features:
• High resolution, accurate data.
• Uses your device's GPS to find nearby dark locations.
• Search for new locations anywhere.
• Save your favorite locations. (pro version)
• Up to 12 levels of zoom (pro version)
• Adjust opacity of the map
• 90% coverage of the entire world
• Navigate to your saved locations using Google Maps
• Moon information such as moon phase, moonrise, and moonset.
The map automatically locates you via GPS, and you can find locations with an easy search. Or just look around the map! It's easy to save your favorite dark sites, just push and hold a spot on the map and click the save button. Is the light pollution map overlay too much? You can adjust the opacity to your liking! The map also features an easy to use legend, so you can be sure you are getting the darkest skies possible for star gazing or night time photography. Note: Legend only matches colors on 100% opacity setting.
Also included is information on the Moon, such as the Moon's phase, moonrise time, and moonset time! And guess what? That moon information is not only good for the current day, but any day in the future!
Note: Free version is ad-supported, has lower resolution/accuracy, and does not allow you to save your favorite locations. Free version also has limited zoom levels. Upgrade to the pro version in-app for a very small fee of $0.99 to remove ads and unlock all pro features.
Note: Light Pollution Map loads data online. Internet connection or wifi is required, and we are not responsible for any data usage chargers from your provider.
