I think the app looks a bit too corporate and needs a newer android/holo friendly UI. Pricing of the paid version seems a bit high.

[APP][2.3.3+] GPS Speedometer

Hello,
I would like to promote my app: GPS Speedometer. 2 versions are available: one paid and one free; the free versions being supported by ads.
GPS Speedometer is a speedometer application that uses you're phone's internal GPS module to calculate your current speed and display it with large, easy to read, LCD-like fonts. It will also display your total travel time, your average speed, maximum reached speed, your heading and elevation, a nice compass and forward and lateral accelerations.
Features:
- High accuracy. The speed calculated based on GPS data is more accurate than the one displayed by your car's speedometer
- It supports both imperial and metric units
- 5 predefined color themes
- It can record your path, speed, distance, and elevation and save them in a KML file (for Google Earth) - just press the record button in the upper left corner.
- It can work in the background, so it can record your movement and speed even while you're talking on the phone. This means that if you really want to exit the application, you have to press "Menu" and select "Exit".
- HUD mode.
It requires the following permissions:
- WAKE_LOCK in order to prevent the screen from turning off
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION (GPS based location) for reading GPS data
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE in order to save the KML file
- INTERNET (free version only) to receive ads
Please note that while I've tested the application on several Android devices, there are way to many different Android devices to guarantee that it will work just fine on all of them, so if you encounter a problem with the application, just drop me an email with your phone model and a short description of your problem; I will do my best to fix it ASAP.
Of course, any feedback would be appreciated.

When in HUD mode, the screen IS mirrored. Please check the video, it's shown there.

I would have a suggestion.
Add an option to HUD mode where only speed will be displayed, not all the info. Would be a great option for phones with small display.

What are spots?
Spots have to be created by yourself, and contain information about location, radius, status and optionally a time restriction.
The status is composed of a title and a description and could look like this:
@home
Probably eating, sleeping or bughunting
What are the main advantages?
You have alle your friends and their status in one compact and clear overview.
No more scrolling through endless timelines where most of the posts are advertisements or unrelated to your friends.
Only see relevant information about your friends that matters.
Data privacy
This is an important topic for me.
Even though Spottr is a locationbased app, your date about your current location will never be sent to the server or your friends.
The only thing saved on our server is your current status. Even your spots are only stored offline on your smartphone.
Spottr will compare your current location with your spots. When you are in one of your spots, the only thing that will be sent to our server
is your new status, which you defined in your spot. How you define your status for each spot is your own decision.
Public / Private spots and Followers and Friends
Spots are divided into two categories: private and public. By default, all new spots are saved as private spots.
Your followers are also divided into two categories: followers and friends.
While followers are only able to see your public spots, friends can see both, private and public spots.
There is even an incognito mode implemented. When this mode is activated, your status will be changed to your default status.
Your location will not be checked anymore until you deactivate the incognito mode.
Currently the app only works with facebook login. This is convenient, as all your facebook friends using Spottr will be automatically added as followers and in your feed. But we know that a lot of people do not like facebook and we are working on our own login system and adding friends per email.

Hi everyone!
If you appear to be abroad or in an unfamiliar city, and if you wish to quickly orient yourself in the surroundings near your location, the “Places Around” application will be helpful.
The “Places Around” application can quickly identify your precise location and helps to find different places around, such as restaurants, banks, public transport stops, hotels, cinemas etc.
For finding a place that satisfies all your requirements, you may do a detailed search of data, including exact address, phone number, web site, and rating, if the relative information is available.
The application is helpful both for tourists travelling in cities and countries as well as for common citizens willing to have a reference book of accessible places at hand.
The results of the search of places within 1 to 20 km radius around you may provide you with up to 200 exact coordinates.
- For proper work of an application, location provider – GPS – should be turned on to quickly and exactly estimate your location.
- For searching places around your location, the Internet connection should be turned on.
- The application does not consume much traffic. Subsequently, if Wi-Fi is not available, limited mobile Internet traffic may be used instead.
- Places can be viewed in an offline mode. If there has previously been an inquiry with the same parameters, all data will be saved in a database on your device.
- Over 90 kinds of places are available for search. All paces are divided into 9 groups for the reasons of convenience: government agencies, leisure, food places, health and beauty, stores, services, religion, transport and services, finance.
- The results of a search may be displayed either on a map or in a list form.
- In Settings, you may select a radius of the search, turn GPS and Wi-Fi on, remove all data of previous searches from the database, leave a comment, advice or proposal for the author, and rate the application.
- Phone numbers or websites, found among the results of a detailed search, may be directly used for calling or following a page of an agency or institution.
