[Q] Root 4.1.2 Please - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have looked everywhere so please don't slam me for asking but I cannot find a relatively simple way to root my XOOM running 4.1.2 - I have tried the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1468298 method and it simply does not work. I unlocked the BL but then this "tool" asks me to install either CWM or another recovery which it just doesn't do, hence I can't root - Can anyone assist me?

I simply, also, cannot find the universal root file available anywhere

If you want to flash a custom ROM/kernel/recovery afterwards you need to make sure your bootloader is unlocked.

[Completed] Root SG4 ATT (ktu84p.i337ucufnj4) + Install CMod

I read the guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2301762), and it says "you may have MF3, which causes problems" , but does not tell you how to check.
I googled my problem and it told me the build number (ktu84p.i337ucufnj4) has that information.
As per the title, I'm just looking to root an ATT Galaxy S4 and install CyanogenMod as simply as possible. I've rooted a copy of the same phone before, so I don't need step by step instructions, just the proper root method and any conflictions with my phone.
Thank you for any assistance!
I promise I've been researching this for days!
I understand now my firmware is NJ4, and found this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...to-root-i337ucufnj4-4-4-4-11-13-2014-t2939553
I'm confused on how to install Cyanogenmod now however. The only supported device/guide that matches mine I can find is here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_jflteatt
The disclaimers says it will only work on I337UCUAMDB or I337UCUAMDL though. It also says I should use CWM recovery, but another root guide for my device says we can only use safestrap...I'm seriously trying to understand here, can someone give me a hand?

Hi,
The reason you cannot find anything is because it is currently impossible to install CM on NJ4. NJ4 has a locked bootloader and prevents all but stock based ROMs via Safestrap for installation.

[Q] Canadian Galaxy Core SM-g386W rooting

Hi everyone,
i have been searching for 2 weeks how to root this phone, but no luck yet. I am saying no luck for a proper way to do it , because you can do it with the avant method, or by using the CF method which uses the SM-G386T firmware, and for reading lots of forums, i know it works, but the problem is if i ever want to update later, i would not be able to do so. I already have the firmware for my phone, G386WVLU1ANJ1, running android 4.4.2 KITKAT, and i have extracted the recovery.img from the firmware file. I am searching how to unlock the bootloader so i can apply whatever rooting method i want. Since i am new to this, i need some information. If i ever want to use the CF-Auto-Root method using the SM-G368T model, can i go back to stock phone whenever needed by flashing recovery image from the SM-G386W ?. If not, is there any other method i can use, preferably one that doesn't trip my KNOX flag to 0x01. Until now i have tried 2 methods, Towelroot and Z4root, which didn't work at all. The main reason i want to root is i want to get rid of the bloatware installed by default on my phone and gain control of my phone without any restrictions, and customizing it.
Please need help.
Thank you very much
P.S: can anyone recommend some reading about rooting android phones?

I also own one of these phones and would like to root the phone to get rid of bloat ware and make the phone run smoother. I would appreciate if you could give a quick run down on how you managed your root. Greatly appreciated.

[AT&T Galaxy Tab E] Is there any way to root my device?

I have an AT&T Galaxy Tab E (SM-T377A) and I need to root it, but I haven't been able to find any guides or .tar files to flash. I have found guides for the sprint version (SM-T377P), but I'm afraid that will screw something up if I try it.
Is it even possible?
Thanks for the help.
Not that I'm any help...
But I've got the same device and up against the same issue. I read on TECH Advisors web page and it suggested stumproot.org to root it. But I installed it and followed all the instructions but says my device isn't supported. So I believe our devices are too new....hope you find a way though and if so please let me know.
I'd like to know if there 's a way to root it, I recall seening a thread where you would have to downgrade to LP just to get it rooted, but that comes with risk and I like the marshmallow rom much better, so I hope that there's a way soon

Samsung J727VPP (Verizon) Root

Hello everyone,
I just made the switch from Apple to Android, and I have been looking into rooting my phone. Unfortunately, I can not find any way to get this phone to be rooted. I've tried Kingroot and looking for the firmware, but I can't seem to find it.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to getting this thing rooted? Or explain why it can/can't be rooted? The searching for answers is making my head spin.
J727vpp root
I ha d a friend that had a black sm-j727vpp and he was able to root it using magisk and a file he downloaded from xda. I read a while back that the phone has a flexible bootloader. Ive been searching but haven't been able to find the file on the site anymore..
Have you tried the current magisk?
