[Q] Samsung SM-G3502U problems - General Questions and Answers

Dear all,
Recently I purchased a Samsung G3502U - GALAXY Trend 3 with Android version 4.2.2.
Two problems which I experience when I use my phone in The Netherlands:
1). When I go to Settings - Accounts - Add account, I am not able to select a Gmail / Google account (this option does not show up). This means I cannot access Google Play.
2). When I download and install Dutch apps using AppChina, I get the error: Application not installed.
Can I solve these problems by rooting my device? Or are there any other solutions to these problems?
Thank you in advance!

I bought the same device directly in China on 2013 december.
I thought that the word "English language" meant that the device had the usual (google) services installed
Unfortunately, the device has proved blocked throughout.
Moreover, to date, I have not found a ROM installed with certainty.
It seems that nobody certifies this device
if anyone has reliable indications to suggest, is welcome

[Q] Market trouble

Hi!
Need some help with my Samsung galaxy nexus.
After the last update (to 4.1.1) my playstore app insists to JUST show the free applications in the store. Ive been told by some guys that got the same problem that this might be because google thinks i live in non-accepted-by-google country, wich i do not for the record.
Now to my Q :
Is it possible to hack my device in some way so that playstore think i live in some other country ? Or atleast in my own land.

[SM-G935FD] change location for Galaxy Apps

Hello guys,
I've faced a problem, which I need to resolve.
As you probably know, such Samsung services as Galaxy Apps, Themes, Galaxy Entertainer, etc. are strictly depends on region.
In most of regions they are working flawless, while in some regions they have lack of features or didn't work at all.
I'm living in Seychelles right now, and when I try to download some themes, I'm receiving an error "Theme store is not supported in this country".
When I open Galaxy Apps it show me the warning like "Your device or country is only available for limited service". And there is only a few apps, only from Samsung.
Trying to find a workaround I've found the following:
1. Galaxy Apps determining your location by IP address when you are running it at the first time.
(I've set up my wife's SM-G935FD while we were Ukraine and everything is working well even in Seychelles)
So, I reset my phone to the factory defaults. Then I configured a VPN-tunnel to Ukraine (where the all services are working) and connect the phone to wi-fi with ukrainian IP.
Galaxy Apps believed that my location is Ukraine and all of the features were available.
2. When I switched to the seychelles IP address everything was fine for a while. Samsung services still thought that I'm in Ukraine.
But in the end of the day when I've tried to install some themes suddenly I've faced the same problem: "Theme store is not supported in this country"
It's looks like Samsung services are updating their location periodically.
3. Galaxy Apps determining the location by IP and not depends on GPS.
I've tried the FakeGPS solution. It works for any GPS-based apps. Even for google ones. But no luck with Samsung services.
Does anybody know where exactly Samsung services store the information about their location? And how it can be edited manually?
My phone is rooted. So I have a full access to the system.
Did you try to change your CSC? You can do this with Samsung phone info app. But all your data will get deleted.

Hi DIZAZTER
Did you find a solution? I also live in Seychelles and I am having the same issue. I bought a Gear S2 and i can't get any apps to install on it since galaxy apps is limited. VPN works with google apps but not with galaxy apps apparently.
Any help would be very much appreciated
I had that problems 2 or 3 years ago and I contact the support center. Isn't possible to do anything. The problem is connect to the country networks. So the device always will know which country you're at the moment. Unfortunately even that language goes to the country in self on samsung store.

Recover SM-J330FN Crisis

Hi Folks
I am having trouble trying desperately to help one of my customers (we do their PC Support) recover from a disaster they have really brought upon themselves. They have some 70 Samsung J3 phones which they give to their field reps and, until about a month ago they had the Google FRP installed on every phone and a lovely Google account. They decided (somewhat arbitrarily) to cancel the Google account and did so. This has resulted in a real issue each time someone does something like forget their passwords, etc. as it brings up the Google FRP which insists they login to the (now extinct) Google account to continue.
So... they have started sending these phones to me. I am getting them in various stages of "stuffed" but mostly after factory reset and the Google FRP coming up which renders the phone useless because the Google account is now invalid.
I need help from someone who understands these things. How do I completely bypass the FRP and do whatever it takes to get each phone back to standard? This way I can return the phone to the user without forcing the company to have to replace 70+ phones - an expensive exercise.
Any help gratefully appreciated.
Chris
Which android version are these devices running?
Also I find it odd that the same Google account was used on all 70 devices. How did that even work without causing issues!?

Hi there - no - it's not the same account. There are 70 users. The company had an account with Google with the multiple users and was managed from a Google console. Because the Google account was closed and deleted, the phones are all still trying to access the Google account via the FRP and of course because the account was closed, each phone is not allowing the user to get past the Google sign in.
Cheers

Can you be bit more specific on the firmware build? You can find this info in recovery mode.

I'm actually having the exact same problem. I get the point of this google lock on factory reset, but it's just bricked a new-ish J3 that was supposed to be sent to a user after the previous staff member left.
Now i have a shiny paperweight. (Half tempted to side load Lineage on it to see if that works) but i'm trying to track down the official ROM
In my case it's a Samsung Galaxy J3 - J3Y17lte / J3 SM-J330FN

Can't help without specifics.
As mentioned above more info such as firmware build is required. So screenshots of download mode and recovery mode if possible.
Nothing unofficial can be flashed until FRP is removed.
