Is my screen dead of what ? - HTC Sensation

My screen is now black and blank , showing nothing , once I start my device I can feel the vibration , and boots up normally but with no screen , beside the lower left corner starts to get warm , I need any help available, and I need to know what's the main problem and how to fix it or is there any way to fix it?
Something else at the beginning of this problem there was a bright white light at the same lower left corner of the screen now is e gone

By changing circuit do you mean motherboard?

Just a little component on the mother board

I have a similar problem with mine - the screen is gets really dull intermitently. When the screen is dull, I have to set brightness to the max to see anything. So I now have brightness set to max all the time which drains battery - I also notice the phone getting warm towards the bottom as well.

And now my device refuses to start at all . Today I will send it to repair and we how things will go

check your inspires...maybe bad device

so after a week of wondering why my phone was off when i took it out pocket, i figured it out. for some reason if i push on the middle of the lcd and the middle of the back, the phone turns off! with little to moderate force. tried it on my friends inspire and it did the same thing. now i know not every inspire has this problem but test yours to find out.
no problem here
How hard are you pushing on it? I'm too afraid to apply force to it but I've never had any issues with mine turning off.

with very little to average force. its only in the center on mine... just wanted to let you guys know.
I just tried it pushing kind of hard. No problem here and it was right dead in the center although I did just get a new inspire through warrenty yesterday. So maybe its just the first couple of them
I would guess that it's a loose battery connection. Pushing it as you do is likely flexing it enough to break contact. Mine doesn't do this.
No problem here either.
It might be loosing battery connection just like Gene said.
Mine doesn't do this. Did u check how secure the battery cover was?

Well I haven't had my phone for more that 30 days so I'm going to take it into at&t and have them replace it.

Also I don't even think the phone turns off! When I push it the screen goes off but I cant turn it back on via the power button. I have to take out the battery and put it back in. Also when it turns off, I tried connecting my charger. The orange light came on but the screen never does.

has anyone noticed the little dots on the screen (under the glass) in the sun? I came from the galaxy S and i know it's AMOLED so i'm just wondering if that is normal on LCD?
It has to be out in the sunlight with the screen off to see them..

Flicker screen

Anyone have their screen blink/flick on startup, on when you see sense rings for unlock. This doesnt happened all the time but you will notice it once awhile.
Is this hardware issue or software? Its not custome Rom I'm running. I tested out other and it sometime occur. On HTC One X it mention about this also.
Any input would be helpful. I don't like to flash Rom all over too see what caused it.

I had an issue with Apex launcher. Every time I would select a folder on the home screen, the screen would pixilate, tile and flicker, not in that particular order. I uninstalled Apex and now everything is fine.
I read that the type of screen used on the One S has a type of matrix pixel or something that can be seen by a trained eye. Could that be what you are seeing.
hTc One S
I've been testing with this flickering. It noticeable if I restart my phone and look at the screen before the "sense ring" pop up. The screen will flick once. This occur on stock, custome Rom so I might think the hardware is acting up. This issued is known on HTC One X.
I restore back to stock Rom and move between app it also flick. Messed with brightness seen to help, but once I select auto brightness it come right back.
Man I'm not happy

Talked to Htc rep. they might consider the display went bad. Usually, the screen shouldn't blink. Even when I reopen an app..it still flicker and turn black screen.
Next steps called back Tmobile and demand a exchange because I'm not happy with my $600 phones..that blink like strobe lights
Maybe I should never buy the first patch that released on launch day. LOL
Sooo... mine started doing something weird this morning...
Is it anything like yours is doing?

Well it was weird, it was fine last night, even had done a backup on clockwork. took it off the charger this morning and restarted it. looked at it later and half the screen was like that. I restarted the phone again and it only did what you saw, tried restart couple times still came back but later on as I was finally leaving home I was texting someone and it just went away?? tried restarting it again nothing... not coming back?? no idea why. I did see on youtube another person with a one X doing the full screen like that, SCary.
I would return it but I'm rooted 2 months in and had to buy from someone else's upgrade so I'm not even sure what they'll tell me if I take it to the store or talk to HTC
I got replacement from T-Mobile since there 90 days exchange warranty and guess what? My screen still does it. I went ahead called HTC for advice and rep. Told me it just parts of O.S.
For yours side, if you sent to HTC for a repair. They might check if you tamper with phone and will charge extra :what:..
Hopefully it won't do it.

only once in a while, when on lowest brightness, the screen would flash up very bright, after pressing the on button but than goes back to set low brightness.
Don't have an Issue like in your video
I've reverted the phone back to stock, not only does it still do it, but it was doing it while on the restoring mode. I've called T-Mobile, they are sending me a new phone. Unfortunately now I will be getting a refurbished phone. Pretty unnoying.... Hope its not defective too in some ways.

my screen will have a black square in the top left that will occasionally flicker only on the home screen when I swipe through. Does anyone have this specifically? Really hope there is a fix, it is quite an annoyance.

I have the same issue, but in a bigger area. I noticed that it happens when the screen is too cold.
First time it happened was when I was taking some pictures outdoors and it was under 0°C and snowing.
Second time also outdoors, strong cold wind, but above 0°C.
Don't know if this is really the cause, but it always happens under these conditions.

Mine originally started on a random morning, I live in Cali and phone usually on my bed so granted it's not under the blanket I'd imagine it stays fairly warm at nights. tho I had touched the screen with wet hands before and I've always been curious if that would have done it. I did since get a replacement which I haven't babied as much as the original one, it's been few months and seems to handle itself fine now (crossing fingers).
But if it happened once, it will happen again, mine came and went couple times, here is couple vids of the way it got... but eventually instead making a transparent gray, it was a full shade of it blocking that half of screen that wouldn't go away.

Hello my dear. Turn off your device and try to push (volume -) + (Power (1 sec)). If you don't see the HBOOT, urgent change the device in that place where you bought it. Np.
Thanks will check it out and see what I can do. Mite have to replace screen. Noticed a red dot that should be white...

If the white moisture sensor turned red or pink this is water damage. Is this what you are referring to when you say "red dot should be white"? If so then yes the device got damaged with water or moisture somehow.

Yes. Under battery. Less go one just not screen. Should I replace screen??? Or is it something else

Try to remove battery and your sim card, then put it back again. Try to power up your phone, see if vibrates. If you still see black screen than something is wrong with your screen. If your phone doesn't vibrate it can be something else. Try to check if your battery is charged.

If the indicators show pink or red it is water damage. What exactly the water damaged is hard to say. But if the indicators have turned then that IS likely your issue. You can try taking device apart and placing in a bag of rice to absorb the moisture. Be patient with this it does work but takes some time. Also with device apart carefully dry off parts that are wet with q tips. I dropped my device in the mud. On the outside it looked dry but when I took it apart I could clearly see the water still present in the device. This worked for me however I did not luckily have my indicators turn on me. It all depends on extent of water damage. But give this a try . Best wishes.

Black Screen on Motorola Droid 2 Global

Hi,
My Motorola droid 2 global is black screen on my droid. I can receive calls, I get email as I hear the notifications, the screen reacts to touch as it vibrated when I drag across the area where the unlock slider is.
When i was playing with it, I noticed that under very bright light I can see the screen. I managed to take few screenshot, which automatically loaded to my picasa, and when when I opened them,. the screen, with all the icons was visible.
Has my LCD display gone bad? But, i was buy lcd to replace them,
I've tried to solve the issue with a battery pull, reser, restart etc but nothing seems to work. I also played with the brightness setting under a very bright light and nothing happened.
Please help
Seems like a hard ware issue. Did you rsd to complete stock? I would try that as the last thing if not already done and if it's still black it's hardware related.

Display gap

I believe the quality control for these devices to be very low. Anyone who received a deffective device? I realized mine was deffective on the 40th day, T-Mobile replaced it with a refurbished one and it was deffective as well, so I called the executive office and they gave me $300 credit to my account. There was a signifficant gap between the lcd and the metal frame at the lower right corner, I could see metal parts through it if looking from very close.
My screen went out last week had the phone for 3 months.

How exactly the screen went out ?
More info will be appreciated cuz I aint got a single problem.
Started flickering purple and just turned off.. Still had leds and sounds so the phone was on with no display. Sometimes I'd get it to reset and the edge would just have a purple line stay on for bout 5 seconds and turn right back off.. I sent it to Samsung for warranty.

Mine did that too last week. Only had the phone for 2 months. When the battery dropped below 38% the screen would start to flicker. After the flickering it would soon go to black screen. Sound would still work. Just no screen. Got a new phone out of warranty from t-mobile. Received it but now I noticed a dead pixel on display. Have to go back to t-mobile to see if I can get yet another replacement phone.

There is no reason these phones should be defected at all.
