Hello.
I have moto X , German retail rom 4.4.2
Seems that default audio effects do not support bluetooth headset.
I've tried lots of them from play market the equalization happens but among with that volume reduces immensely .
Will someone suggest a way to equalize bluetooth headset without loosing volume level? At least bass boost.
Thanks.:cyclops:

I've downloaded apk for android 4.4 from official site. Granted it SU, installed driver, rebooted several times but it doesn't take any effect neither with wired either bluetooth headphones.
What can it possibly be?
Android schamanism pisses me off

Oh for some reason wired headphones are also managed via bluetooth device tab.
That is strange..and more of that same effect...as soon as Im managin extra bass or equalizer again gain reducing immensely.
I have the moto E, and I can't get equalizers to do anything. Not even reduce gain.

Hi! I have a brand new Jabra 620s bluetooth-headset. When I turn the headset on and search for bluetooth devices on my computer I can see it, but I cant see it when I search for it on my touch pro.
What could be the problem here?
I had a similar problem last night (and have it quite often when i need to pair). It doesn't detect it until the 3rd or 4th time in which last night it didn't even detect it either. I power cycled the headset and my phone found it the first time.
Yeah, I tried rebooting my headset and my phone several times, but I still can't get it to work...
Figured it out... Had to hold in a button on the headsett to make it avaliable for new devices...
But new problem:
I don't get sound in the headsett when I play music. But when I make a call the sound is in the headsett. What could be the problem here?
Maybe its the settings in your a2dp profile?
I read this "Set-up of the 620's was simple enough, the headset unit is paired with the device that is streaming the music and / or a mobile phone. A smart move from Jabra allows the 620s to be connected to both a mobile phone and an audio device simultaneously. However our set-up was rather more straight forward than most as we used Jabra's own Bluetooth dongle that supports the all important A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) profile. Real life for most users is a different kettle of fish with support for A2DP being quite sparse, most music gateways and servers and even music ready mobiles rarely support the required profile." source: http://www.lordpercy.com/jabra_bt620s_review.htm
Maybe some tweaking in hklm\\software\microsoft\bluetooth\a2dp\Settings
I believe this headset also supports AVRCP profile. In any case, make note of your original configuration prior to making any changes.

You can use Advanced Config to enlarge the bluetooth bitpool under the bluetooth tweaks. Set it to "very high" for best sound quality (uses more system resources tough).
HTH
Maximum bit-pool setting is 1561. I dont think it solves the problem, cause the quality is still really bad.
Any other tips? Or do I have to return the headset cause a brand new ~1000$ phone cant play on a wireless bluetooth headset?!
Bump.. Are there really no solutions?
Hello I am using gal 3 apollo in Thailand and I have had a problem with some audio settings
Even with the 3.5 mm jack sound is not loud it seems they have locked the output for battery life somehow. And I just bought a New Nokia BH 505 Which is pretty clear . But When I connect it to my phone It has a weird like low quality sound as if the signal is not good. At first I thought it was range so I put it next to my BT still same and i even walked to the other room .. and it still sounded like that so signal is fine. I tried this BT on my Blackberry Full quality rich music the whole works so i know its the samsung. Most Probably The Codec Or Db Settings in The Service Mode of the Device. On galaxy S they Devloped Voodoo Sound Which is very Good From the Reviews I read.
I heard of a hack to increase output 3.5mm on a Spica in service mode but i didn't understand or know how to unlock this limit (if this is the Problem) I Alson See a Bluetooth Gain settings I have the link over here http://android.bigresource.com/Samsu...hl7LazklU.html. This Would be very great if someone knows how to fix this Thanks all.

Likewise, you could also try out the full version of PowerAMP.... It gives you very fine control and an easy EQ setting.
But to fully give out clear and loud music, the power output via 3.5mm port could be increased within a custom ROMs kernel setting, if I'm not wrong...
Thanks For The Help. I also Tried Power Amp It made it a very Cracked Sound. But As for the Codec And Audio Quality Yes I Also Think WE have to wait for a stable FW and Kernel then mod The Kernel like the Galaxy S's Voodoo Sound. I am Still Wondering about the samsung service mode. There are many setiings for heaset and bluetooth rx value tx value and the galaxy spica has a different config but they managed to fix the problem as in the first post. I am using Lest's CFW should I post this problem on his Thread. Thanks for the help Guys
I've had this phone for a little less than a year now and it was working fine (except the terrible screen issues before JB). Now with 4.1.2 the screen is fine but other stuff are messed up... Headsets basically don't exist for my phone. I've tried various one button headsets and most of the time clicks are not recognized.I haven't tried 3 buttons ones but I can guess the outcome... I mainly want to control my music when walking(Pause/Play etc.) . Every now and then the headset works fine for a few seconds then Google Now/Search or whatever takes control and then that is for headset controls... I tried :
Disabling Google = Google doesn't start whne listening to musc but no recognition for the button...
Various app solutions for controlling headsets = still no recognition..
Rooted and installed Headset Droid for the Google fix = nope
Different music players that come with headset control functionality = same problem.
Tried SmartConnect + SmartKey = it recognizes that is a headset on the event and starts Walkman but then again clicks do nothing..
This has all been tested with the official headset that comes with the phone...
My friends has the same phone bought from a different country. I've stress tested his phone with the same various headsets and it performs great with absolutely no issues,Google doesn't even launch like on mine..... I saw that although he is on the same JB as me (4.1.2) he is running an older Build. I was on 11.2.A.0.31 and he is on 11.2.A.0.21.
I thought I will reflash to an older Stock rom just to see if the software is the issue. I downloaded DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit (v17) and rooted my phone without any issues. Then I downloaded 11.2.A.0.21 No Brand ATA from this forum. I got Flashtool which recognized my phone and I granted it root access. I reflashed with the stock rom with full wipe on cache + data. Phone booted up fine afterwards and it worked quite good. Then I decided to try the headset again. I think you can guess what happened....Same Google issue and no headset functionality whatsoever...
I really like the phone as the sound quality is superior to my Philips mp3 player. I can also have up to 32GB sd which is perfect as I do have a lot of music BUT this headset issue makes listening to music more of a hassle then actual enjoyment... I normally like Sony but I have to admit they have disappointed me when it comes to phones... Not just because of this issue but also the screen problems on ICS which I had to fix with a app made by people on this forum...
I don't know what to do now. I forgot to mention I have not unlocked my bootloader and my phone says : Bootloader unlock allowed : No
in the system service menu. Should I unlock the bootloader with Flashtool and try to go down to ICS which will probably fix the headset and the Google issue but will probably introduce the nasty screen issue..? I don't even know if this is a software issue at all, I would like it to be but i am starting to think that I just have a faulty handset -__- I am probably never buying a phone second hand + phone from Sony again...
I also noticed ST26i_112A021_CE.ftf on 4shared. Is CE better than the no brand one I used ?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I am a programmer myself and although this i tiny issue it is annoying me greatly..
I updated back to .31 OTA out of curiosity and headsets work alright until 5,6 times playing and pausing
music and then it does the usual no response thing until I completely reset the phone.
I was reading on Bluetooth headsets and from my understanding commands from them are on a separate audio stream from the headphone jack. Any idea if same issue will appear if I buy a Bluetooth headset ? I don't want to buy an expensive one and then regret it..

Here's what I do: Look for phillips headset app on the playstore. Install it and configure it to make the changes for a media player that you like and you'll never have problems again.
The next time you pop the headset on the phillips headset app will automatically start and it will also open up the default media player.+ you also get an extra sound boos from the app
So far I have tried :
Philips Headset app
Google Search Disabled: Probably works best, stops accepting commands once I turn the screen off or I play/pause too many times.
Google Search Enabled: The voice dialer/Google Now/Whatever will start up about 10 secs in the song and then forget about any headset control until full phone restart.
JAYS Headset app
Works alright for 5,6 times playing and pausing and then just stops registering clicks. Google Search/Voice dialer affects it in the same way
as Philips Headset.
Headset Button Controller, Ultimate Headset Controller and Headset Droid ( I tried the Google fix) act in the same manner as well....
I've tried just about anything now. I even completely removed Google Search and Voice Dialer from system apps. Even that didn't help..
I guess its just my phone and my only hope now is a bluetooth headset. Hopefully the commands from a BT headset are intercepted and processed differently...
Hi, last week I installed the OTA Android 8.0 update on my HTC U11.
Since this update the audio quality when streaming to my car's audio system or to my pioneer hi-fi system at home is a lot worse than on Android Nougat. Especially on tracks with a lot of high tunes. There's always a slight 'clink' noise. I don't know how to explain this in English..
Have you noticed this issue as well? Is there something I can do about it? Thanks
question are you using any sound mods?

Same for me. Since this update, the quality of phone call when connected to Bluetooth to my car is really bad. No problem with music stream connected to the same car.
I tried managing the new bluetooth options in developper mode menu but it doesn't solve the problem.
The codec used is all the time SBC even is I change it to AAC or aptX or AptxHD.

I have the same issue, it seems it was fixed in 42 version for US market(at least for LDAC)
I have 2 issues with Bluetooth connections with the car. The first is that it picks up interference from the noise of the wheels and engine while driving, and the sound quality suffers and it sounds unclear, unless I mute the vehicle.
The second is that it has a lot of trouble connecting to the car at times. Or, more often, it would not connect the media through the car. Don't know what's up with that.
I know how you feel
I've got exact same problem like yours. Although I'm using HTC u11 plus. My new pair of Bluetooth headphones have the same not OK audio quality. You're right especially the high tunes. I'm desperate, trying to reset everything, but doesn't help. If you find the solution, please let me know. Thank you.

Same issue here. I have the U11 as well and just updated to Oreo and I have the same issue as well. Music over BT was ok on Nougat but after the update, music sounds as if there is digital clipping. And it's there with both my headset and car audio system.
Got the same issue, hope they fix it soon. The only solution seems to do a RUU right now.
Btw. I am on a custom rom (LeeDroid), gonna go full stock and try again.
I would suggest looking in developer options and trying some of the different options for bluetooth in there!
Settings > about > software information > more > then tap the build number till it says you are a developer.
Then
Go to developer options and check under networking, there are some settings to toggle in there.
You may find something you are looking for! I personally haven't tried bt since the update so I don't know if it is a common issue. Good luck!
Thank you!
Thank you very much.
Playing around with the bluetooth options in the developer's menu solved this issue.
The audio quality through bluetooth is now pretty much the same as it was with the previous android os

Hey there!
Same problem for me since updating my U11 to Oreo - very poor bluetooth audio quality...
I tried using different bluetooth settings under the developer options but the thing is: no matter what I choose, it keeps switching back to the default values not affecting anything at all.
If it switch back to default SBC it means your headset/BT device doesn't support other codec.

That's not necessarily true. On 7.1 both Bluetooth devices which I use can support either AAC, SBC and aptX. My understanding is this issue occured because of the removal of AVRCP 1.3. I think Google added 1.3 back to Android 8.q because of this.

Yours is not necessarily true either. I'm on 8.0 and I can still use aptX if I want but only if my BT device supports aptX.

I'm not arguing that aptX and other codecs aren't working on 8.0. What I'm saying is that with certain devices, we are no longer seem to be able to use certain codecs that we could use prior. It's obviously device dependent, but to say their isn't a problem and blame it on the Bluetooth device is incorrect. Infact the same problem has occurred on non HTC devices when they've upgraded to 8.0 such as the OnePlus.

Fair enough, I didn't understand.
Does anyone know how to make the bluetooth options under developer options stick? I'm on stock unlocked Oreo, and they go back to defaults as soon as I change them. I've tried changing them whilst connected in the car, but no change. The only thing that could make a difference is that I'm running Pitch Black Substratum theme. Anyone else got them to stick?
In my Audi a3 2015 before oreo i can able to skip the track with entertainment commad and in the display i saw name of the track. After update i have lost all funtionality and the car see my device only like esternal suorce . Can i do something?
I just got a Redmi Note 10 Pro. All is good except when playing PUBG with headphones plugged in.
All the regular gameplay sound goes through the headphones except for when my teammates talk through the voice chat. The voice chat audio gets routed through the phone's speakers instead of going through the headphones like all the other audio.
However, when using Bluetooth headphones, this problem doesn't occur.
I've tried restarting the device, restarting the game, changing game settings, but nothing.
I assume this is a software issue right? Otherwise I'll look to change the device.
Thanks.

Usually Software issue
This app (lesser Audio Switch) will solve it no root required but you have to manually change the settings everytime you want to use Speaker, headphone, int mic or headphone mice/ bluetooth

Actually I have an idea, download the apk from somwhere on the internet
Download Apk editor
edit the apk
common edit : then change the Sdk? target version to 39
it should work from there
else some of these methods may be viable to your phone
