I plan to upgrade my tf300t to cm11. But now i met some problem
my tf300t is using 4.2.1, and bootloader is ww_epad-110.6.1.27.5
first i unlock the device, then i fastboot twrp v2.6.3.0 in it(I tried several versions, twrp or recovery, but all of those couldn't read internal memory or ext sd card. only this version is ok)
then i wipe data and made it factory reset
finally i choose cm11 to install, and then it told that error flashing zip
and now when i boot the device, it won't go to the android system but go to twrp by itself
what should i do now? should i root it before i install cm11? :crying:

Hello,
I flashed a CM11 nightly, and it was rebooting like crazy. Realizing something was wrong, I rebooted to recovery to do a factory wipe and reinstall. When I did that, it hung up completely, cache wouldn't mount, and it said "failed." Rebooting, it bootlooped. I go back to recovery, and click install. It's empty. My Internal Storage is at 0MB, and every single folder is empty.
I can get to Fastboot, and I tried to flash fresh images, but it just hangs at <Waiting for Device>. Is there anything I can do here? Googling around did not yield much other than how to root my phone.
First when you go into fastboot do
fastboot devices. Do you get anything?

I'm guessing you don't. Can you still get into recovery? format data in recovery

Wow, you were fast. Thanks for that.
Nope. Type it in, and it just skips output. Can't provide the link, but it just goes from one line to the next.

Ok, your fastboot drivers aren't set up correctly. You can do the by googling tool adb fastboot drivers xda. But before you do that what recovery are you using and can you get into it?

The game just changed. I booted into TWRP 2.6.3.2, and when I went to go mount storage. Internal Changed from 0MB to 9400MB! I check Install, and all my data is back. I installed the nightly I had, but it kept the bootloop up. I think I am a bit closer.

Use twrp 2.6.3.4 you can get a flashable zip here http://d-h.st/YpG. Just flash it over your current trwp. Also wipe date on twrp and it should get you past the bootloop.

I'm back! Once the SDcard returned, I was able to wipe the data, reflash CM11, and it booted perfectly fine.
I have no idea what happened though.

Update your version of twrp. 2.6.3.2 had issues which caused problems like you had.

Doing that now. Thanks for the direction! I'll test Fastboot once everything is downloaded.
I think I screwed up big time....
I just got my M8 (came from an M7) and I am def S-OFF (checked in bootloader). I have TWRP and when I try to install any ROM, it starts ok first but then it ends with symlinks failed. When I hit reboot, it goes back into recovery. I think I might now the issue and I think it is because I did not delete weaksauce ... I just installed TWRP and rebooted and everything was deleted so I have the custom ROM on the external SD card. I can't even do sideload because it won't find it (when I do adb devices it shows list of devices found but it's empty .. no number like it should be). I fudged up, I know....not sure if it is the weaksauce issue but I'm grateful for any help
UPDATE 1
I have switched to CWM and looks like sideload now works...I'm just installing a ROM and hopefully it'll work. If not, would anybody suggest this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2727831
the whole RUU flash....either option 1 (if it works) or option 2? If I'm understanding it right, this will wipe everything and go back to stock completely ... then I can do it all over and not screw up...
UPDATE 2
Got it to work....just for those who may have had the same issue. After switching to CWM, sideload did not work. I placed the ROM on an external SD and flashed it as usual and this time it worked (it did not on TWRP for some reason).

Few weeks ago, an suspicious activity was detected on my phone. I have no choice but to select wipe data.
After wiping the phone, I was planning to flash the phone as usual but failed to do it (keep stuck in fastboot).
When I tried to access using twrp, internal sd card was not detected and all I saw was the root directory.
Failed to wipe cache, data (Error message: failed to mount E:\ xxx )
HELPPPP !!!!!!!!! What am I supposed to do now (send back to service center ) ?

Did u try fastboot method of flashing stock ROM?
faced the same problem with Samsung galaxy y and flashing stock ROM fixed that.
The worst case scenario is corrupted internal sdcard.Sorry ,then can't help u ,as I am new here.
Though u can look here.I am also trying to find a solution.
Hoping, the thread would draw attention some experts here.

@faizauthar12 mention some may be fix of corrupted partition here. If fastboot method of flashing stock miui didn't works then give it a try.
let's see ,if you can flash fastboot
then it's fine..
as long as you can enter fastboot, you still have a hope to flash a right firmware...

Hello friends i need some help! Today i did one big mistake! I restored from twrp an old backup of my old frd-l09 to my frd-l19.... Waa... It did not fail and now when i try to do wipes from twrp it shows me these results for every partition: failed to mount "partition" (invalid argument). It is a matter of fact that when i try to switch on the phone it goes to bootloop! Please need help... How can i do? I have not a backup of original vendor.... Can someone provide me the download for original partition that i need to restore? Please tell me i'm really displeased, i need to give the honor to a friend and in this conditions i can not!
I realized that i restored right backup... But why now i'm at this point? Please help
try this guide it

I restored by flashing from twrp original b381 full-firmware. First i flashed update.zip and after the second .zip file. After this will be installed original recovery, so then i did factory reset from original recovery and with this i fixed all partitions... Anyway thanks venugopalu for your answer. does anyone have the same process but for FRD-l14 model? US 64 gig model.

I ended up getting this phone the other day and decided to rush myself unlocking/rooting and flashing . Ended up to the point where I was stuck in boot loop and only able to see twrp recovery and the erecovery. Tried a factory reset / flashed a custom Rom and still got the same error. Decided to try the erecovery and that failed when updating so I tried relooking boot loader and doing he erecovery. That failed and now I am stuck there lol

Try to follow the steps that i wrote . In my case flashing b381 from twrp fixed all partitions. You must to download right firmware for your model, also i advice you to download "firmware finder" in your computer for find firmwares. Pay attention to download right firmware, check if your version is branded or not!
