Hello,
i need to send back my phone to google, so i restored the stock ROM without any problem. BUT :
i had 3 errors messages during the installation process :
image does not contain boot.sig
image does not contain recovery.sig
image does not contain system.sig
The most annoying is : when, via the fastboot access, i try to go to the recovery mode, i have only an android icon with a red pannel. no recovery anymore.
what happened ? how to restore the sotck recovery of my nexus 5 ?
thanks,
regards
When you're in the recovery with the red exclamation mark hit vol up.
That is the stock recovery. See above for how to actually use it, but there isn't much you can do with it.
EDIT: Isn't it vol up + power?

Vol up has always worked for me but I've seen others where vol up + power is required

Volume up will do.
@ the OP: have you reset the tampered flag and relocked the BL?

Hey guys, I was gifted an Asus TF700, unlocked with TWRP and an unknown ROM.
I was looking to upgrade the ROM so I tried putting Philz Recovery on the tablet by flashing the .zip in TWRP. Then I flashed a new ROM in Philz and here's where the problems start.
The tablet will boot all the way into Android, and I can use the tablet for anywhere from 10-60 seconds before it reboots. If left alone it would stay in this boot loop until the battery would die.
Now I just want to start over. I can't boot into recovery as hard as I try. It just stays at the Asus screen or restarts.
Any ideas?

This sounds like you installed a ROM that requires a newer bootloader than the one you have installed, and you skipped the instructions of that ROM that said you have to install a compatible bootloader.
Other than that, your post is devoid of useful information. You flashed "a new ROM", and you "can't boot into recovery as hard as I try.". What did you flash, what did you try?

I flashed CMB 4.4.2 and I've tried every button combo I could (power + vol down, power + vol up, power for a really long time, both volume buttons for a really long time, power + both volume buttons for a really long time). Occasionally I'd make it to the screen with four options but I couldn't select anything with volume up.
I'm new to this stuff and I just kinda assumed I had the right boot loader. Oops.
Do I have any options?
When it reboots again, you should be able to go to the bootloader menu by holding down volume-down (left). Then enter your recovery and flash the correct bootloader.

Doesn't work. Tried both left/right volume buttons without holding the power button while it rebooted. Asus logo flashes once and then goes to the CMB ROMS screen.

So can you get to the bootloader screen? Can you PC see your devices in fastboot??
Sorry I'm not exactly sure what the boot loader screen is. Could you elaborate?
I'll try fastboot tonight and report back but I'm afraid to try anything because the tablet really doesn't last long once it's in Android.

When you boot your tablet in the screen with the RCK where you enter recovery but you don't do anything once there that is your bootloader screen and it will say in the upper left hand corner you should see something about fastboot protocol and you bootloader version also... Let me know thx lj
What is your PC's OS??
If you see 4 icons then you are in an old outdated boot loader. Don't do a while what ever you do.
You'll need to flash the latest boot loader over fastboot.

Um. What? RCK? Sorry, I only see three different screen: Asus (says Device Unlocked or something in top left), big ugly CWM graphic, and then the Android lock screen (which I can unlock and use Android for ~30 seconds).
Running Windows 8.

Yeah I haven't been able to get back to that four icon screen. So where can I get the latest boot loader, and do I have to be booted into Android to flash it? How long does it take?
Trying to see if my device is recognized by fastboot now...
Alright, just got the minimal ADB/fastboot installed and when I type "adb devices" it returns my Asus's serial number. "fastboot devices" doesn't return anything.
Seriously, I only get around 20 seconds before this thing resets. Any ideas for what I can do next?
EDIT: I made it to the boot loader some how ??? Four icons, first of which is RCK. Only stays at this menu for 10 seconds, it doesn't seem like the volume rockers do anything.
Thanks for your help this far folks!
EDIT 2: Keep trying to get back to the boot loader screen. Sometimes it boots into safe mode...
EDIT 3: HOLY **** I GOT IT INTO RECOVERY WHAT DO I DO NOW (nothing comes up on adb devices/fastboot devices)
EDIT 4: Ok I've made it into recovery with the bootloader on a micro SD card (from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2577165) and tried to install the zip.
It says: assert failed : write_raw_image("/data/media/blob", "staging")
E:Error in /storage/sdcard1/TF700_10.6.1.14.10_US_Boot_TWRP_2610_Signed.zip
Is this because I'm using Philz Recovery?
EDIT 5: Alright grabbed the right bootloader (from http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=4006) and I'm getting the same exact error. (Status 7). Any ideas?
BUMP -- any ideas how this Status 7 error can be resolved?

Ok, it took like 5 resets to get this, but the screen with four icons reads
USepad-10.4.4.25-20121228
in the top left.
When I get to recovery, it says Philz Touch 6, Clockworkmod v6.0.4.7
Any ideas?

Ah, sorry, didn't see that. Message sent!
Managed to flash TWRP from fastboot and it seems like the tablet is running a lot longer after a factory reset. Still rebooting around 2 minutes in. Every time I try to flash an updated bootloader though it gives me an error (even when I uncheck MD5 sum check). I'm having trouble getting my tablet to show up under My Computer, and in TWRP it's not picking up my micro SD card....
Kernel version 3.1.10-cyanogenmod-g057aa0a / Android 4.4.2

Sideload or push a custom rom to flash in recovery or flash the stock rom in fastboot and you`ll be fine.
OK, but i stuck in that moment of loading a system when you see google's logo and i cant' go out from that.

Press power for about 10 seconds and it should shut down, after that press volume down and power and you`ll get into the bootloader.
OK! Thanks all works. I haven't know that i should press off button that long in that case, but now i would . Thanks again.

hello guys,
I have successfully installed the Lollipop release LRX21o... Initially i used the flash-all.sh method... it gave me an error first.. so i clicked flash-all.sh once again.... then it installed everything without any error... Phone booted and everything was working fine.. but when i tried to load the stock recoevery (to wipe everything) pressing the vol + button on recovery screen doesnt get me any where.. all i can see is the android with red triangle.
I tried the manual process of flashing the rom.... same thing happened..
I havent tried any custom recover image.. .So cant tell about others.
Are u guys having the same problem???
Is there any work around?
Have you tried manually reflashing recovery?

The way to get into the stock recovery menu is not by pressing the vol + button.
When you see the Android with the exclamation point, you need to HOLD the power button and then press volume up.

sorry for my misleading title... i could get into recovery but its broken. cant do anything with it. pressing the vol + to get into the wipe menu isnt working... sorry again.. i attaced a thread link which talks about the problem. Thanks...
so i went to this website:
https://romfirmware.com/2017/07/28/huawei-honor-6x-bln-l24/
and it has some different firmware things for the honor 6x BLN L24 model.. and one of them is a point version variant that says can be flashed through twrp?
will this work should i trust this?
edit// on the site it says the version for it is BLN-L24C567B360 however mine is BLN-L24C567B366 (5.0.1 EMUI..i think B360 is EMUI 5.0?)

can you explain what dload is to me? this phon is my first phone ive had that i could really do something with in the rooting community.. my other one was a galaxy grand prime with no rom support or any img files and it got bricked cause i of course had to screw with the build.prop file XD

okay... so after i extract the particular recovery image i need.. i reboot to the fastboot menu, use adb to flash over the img, like i did with twrp... and reboot into the stock recovery menu?

put the update.app file in a folder on my sd card called dload. and update from sd card?
also i got two files.. recovery.img and recovery2.img... which do i use ?
okay so i read on a thread for the honor 7 having two recovery images... one being the stupid erecovery crap and the other being normal recovery menu? and i guess im able to get both regular and twrp running together on two different partitions somehow?
Rommco05 said:

i ****ed up my phone... the good backups i had with twrp got ****ed up and are some messed up rooted version running a stock rom where the sound doesnt work at all, speakers headphone, blue tooth calls, apps, etc and camera doesnt work (front and back and camera app doesnt run) and i cant watch any videos on any app.. so i was going to restore the stock firmware
i still use adb reboot recovery to boot into the regular recovery menu ? (not erecov)
alright.. im stuck again.. i rebooted to recovery and it gave me 3 options. reboot, wipe data/factory reset, and wipe cache partition... what do i do to install the firmware??
see its almsot 4 am for me right now.. if you could just talk me through this i would be okay..
never mindd i looked at your previous reply
and i believe its stuck at 5%
alright well it just rebooted and it didnt restore the stock firmware..i still have all my apps and **** and nothing has changed
do i have to factory reset it now? or..

nothings working still . camera, sound videos, etc.. still broken.. phone still rooted.. i followed this other ugie i saw on here where you wipe all partitions and things and then do the file from dload and things, and it still stuck at 5%?
heres another question.. when i went through the firmware finder i got 3 files.. update.zip, update_data_full_public.zip, and update_full_BLN-L24_hw_usa.zip they all contain a update.app file... am i using the right one? im using the one from update.zip
now it appears to be stuck at the boot animation screen.. fml
//edt: standby... i actually havent finished the guide..
yup.. i dun ****ed up.... i cant use adb to reboot to recovery.. say null device not found..
i can go into fastboot by doing power and vol down... if i do vol up and power to try to get into recovery/twrp/whatever, it does nothing and does the normal booting process.. holding all three down just does the automatic sd card install thing that doesnt work... what do i do? i think i ****ed it up
well as far as i can tell my phone is bricked cant boot into recovery via key presses or adb.. i get device not found on adb..
fastboot works and i can flash still but i cant get into twrp or anythin i dont know why..
if i let it boot it just stays at the bootloading animation..
am i able to do factory reset from fastboot?
//edit: i did fastboot erase userdata accoring to some websites online.. no success in booting... is there anything i can do at this point?
