Galaxy Tab 2 p5100 no adb in download mode - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
as the title said i got a problem with running my tab2 in download mode.
when i run the device in dl mode my pc (win 7) shows it as samsung modem, and if i start in recovery mode it shows as adb device.
odin can find the device anyway but failed on any flash process.
when i run in dl mode i get several outpot from the console on the device:
Odin download mode (protocol2.1)
Reason: Force Key
Secue Mode: Secure
Check Signature: Check
Custom Binary Downloads: no (0counts)
Current Binary: Samsung official
waiting usb cable...
connected press the start of odin3!!
so device is seen in odin i choose the .md5 and get following odin output:
<ID:0/005> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> CF-Auto-Root-espresso10rf-espresso10rfxx-gtp5100.tar.md5 is valid.
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..

<ID:0/005> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/005>
<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
after this my tab dl screen tells me following:
fail to download 8/sos data:2569... and so on
tegra_nand_write Error to download partition_odin err0xffffffff
after this i have to do a factory reset with recovery mode to get the tab working again because it want to connect to kies and make a force restore
i already flashed several mobile phones so i think i know what i have to do but with this tab... im just confused
i already tried to setup several drivers manually, tried pc´s with kies and pc´s which never had kies installed before...same issue
I tried several .md5 files
so my question is now... what am i doing wrong? how can i get the adb driver working in download mode not in recovery
hope someone can help me

[Q] Firmware update failed and failed recovery with Kies

Hello,
I have a problem.
I used my Samsung Galaxy GT-P6800 until yesterday.
Yesterday I downloaded the latest version of kies and I installed it.
When I plugged my tablet to the program kies, this told me that there was an update available. So I accepted the upgrade.
Unfortunately not been successful upgrade. So I tried to make the recovery of the old firmware. I receveid again an error. Kies tells me to call the service center.
Now I am a tablet that does not turn on and that only goes in odin mode by holding down the power button plus the volume down button.
It should not be in recovery mode because if I try to press the power button for 10 seconds nothing happens.
How could I resolve the problem?
My tablet is not rooted.
I don't know what is the problem because doesn't compare the code error.
I do not know if it depends on the driver. I do not know if it depends on something else.
But I would like to re-use my tablet. Help me, please.
well,
I have used Odin to install CWM 6.0.3.0.
Then I have tried to install a rom take here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21930183&postcount=2

I had the same problem. If you're rooted you can install CWM via BTE shell script, too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58081018#post58081018

ODIN fail: NAND write fail

I factory reset my Samsung Grand 2 then charged it. When I saw my phone it was updated in kitkat. I accidentally hit the install and reboot. But after that, it stuck in logo screen. I've tried to wipe data, cache and everything. So, I flash it with odin with correct latest firmware. But it keeps on failing and appears firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again. Ive tried to fix it with Kies but there's no chance. I also brought it to service center but they said it keeps on failing and the program cant enter.

See if you have the proper firmware and read the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/general/stock-firmware-grand-2-google-drive-t2849501
Or else you could ask help from anyone having a similar phone in this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2
I tried the instruction but it didn't work still failed. I also tried to flash it with original stock but it says SW REV CHECK FAIL : [sbl1]Fused 1 > Binary 0
Im losing hope. Please help :crying: :crying:

I don't know specifically about your phone.
Only asking someone here would help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-grand-2/help
I tried to downgrade my phone but it shows SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot]Fused 2 > Binary 1

[Q] Odin flash bootloader gone

Just tried to flash my SM-G920X It's a demo version of the S6.
( No calling. I'm ok with this it's not my problem)
Because it had the retail mode software installed that is a nuisance. I tried to flash over it many times. The retail mode locks the bootloader and can't be removed, its an administrator. wiping with android device manager just returns to stock+retailmode. retailmode documentation now says it can never be removed.
recovery mode wipe is forbidden.
cfautoroot and twrp both fail - its the retailmode lock
I tried flashing with G920FXXU1AOE3_G920FXEU1AODQ_XEU.zip with the *Phone bootloader update* ticked. It's a full unbranded rom from sammobile. It should have a bootloader?
It replaced the bootloader!!!!
Then hung. reboot phone.
"An error has occurred while updating device software. Use Emergency recovery function in Smart Switch PC software."
I can't. it demands a code from the programs last try when the update failed. Or you can try to use the sim registration serial number online check. But I no have sim! It's not registered. (it is not stolen I've already had a back and forth with samsung email serial number check. I got it from ebay)
Cannot power off! stuck on either download mode or emergency warning. Both bright blue/green whole screen. left it plugged in last night so it didn't drain the battery flat. Was very very hot this morning. I put it in the freezer for half an hour.
Think I can still use odin. It says added. I can still get it into download mode.
Just need to totally reflash the thing. But with what???
when I try to reflash bootloader I get...

Holy ****! There is something very wrong with the way odin deals with these things.
I just copied out the recovery.img file from the stock rom I've been trying to flash. Copied it over the one in here twrp-2.8.6.0-zeroflte.img.tar as suggested by this post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/solved-stuck-download-mode-failed-odin-t3104736/page2
I have recovery back!
This is an odin **** up as he says.
reboot. exactly where I was retailmode still there account still there.

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy note 3 - possibly bricked..

Hi,
I am new here, I've read the sticky so this seemed like the right place to post so here goes,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) which I have attempted (very unsuccessfully) to root, I followed some steps that others have done on various youtube videos using Odin3 and kingroot but unfortunately I believe my phone disconnected from the laptop while it was in download mode and now on each attempt I am left with the below message on recovery mode:
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.
I tried Kies and have since found several articles stating that kies will never work if you have rooted or tried to root your phone.
When i try to download a new ROM or the original firmware ROM using the desktop Odin3 it fails every time now with the below transcript:

I've read many posts around the web suggesting ways to fix it but everything involves being in recovery mode which i cannot do, does anybody have any idea what i should do? please let me know if you need any further info, hopefully I am just being stupid and it's a really simple answer!

Greetings and welcome to assist. There are a few things it could be, you could try a different version of odin, it could be an older version of firmware you are flashing or a file has become corrupt. If you connect your phone to kies and select emergency firmware recovery then that will return your phone to stock
Good Luck
