You can grab a version of Google Play here.

4.5.10 is here:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...-play-store-activity-iap-indicators-and-more/
Not sure if you can load it without it being a system app, though (have never tried so could be wrong)

The apk should install fine, even if he has no root.

I know it'll install without root, it's whether you need it as a system app to run that's the issue

thanks for your help but I was so stupid to format the system without doing a back up and now my phone is stucked on google screen.
So i am now able to go in bootloader and cwm and not more.
I have to find a way to upload a rom in sd to flash via cwm.
Any suggestion???

there's a return to stock thread in general. follow it step by step.

[Q] OTA Update for an XE

Hey,
Last night I got a system update message and on reboot it loaded clockworkmod and now I can't install the update
I rooted and installed the mod before but I never use it...
How can I disable clockworkmod or deleting it so I can get the official update (I would much prefer that)
Thanks,
PS. I have read other posts about this online but the problem have been slightly different and with other phones so the wrong files, i'm guessing

I'm guessing the OTA you got was to software version 3.33.401.153?
If yes just download and run the RUU exe from here. This will put you on that software version.

no, 3.33.401.106 is the next one then it is 3.33.401.153
However, you can just flash the RUU and it will put you on 3.33.401.153 without having to flash 3.33.401.106 - also because you are rooted the OTA file may fail to run whereas the RUU wont.

Love how I click the link and get this 'ICXperia user website temporarily down' haha
So is it pretty straight forward once downloaded..... is there instruction somewhere?
PS will it wipe my phone? do i need to back up? and what would be the best way of doing that?

Regardless of whether my hoster's website is down, my FTP remains up so you can still download the file using the link I posted. Its self explanatory and comes with instructions within the installer, it will wipe your phone so I would suggest doing a nandroid backup of data only then restoring data from a custom recovery (you will have to reflash the custom recovery after the RUU has finished because it will return you to stock recovery)

so will nandroid backup still work after i use the RUU if i dont flash with a custom recovery later?

The RUU replaces (gets rid of) clockwork mod with HTC Stock recovery, so to restore nandroid backup after RUU you will need to reflash CWM

I'm sure you are getting annoyed with me by now So just say if this is the way to do it
-Backup important stuff on sd card with app
-Follow instruction on .exe
-Then i have a stock phone and it is updated
-Restore my data....

I think with an app like that you need root to use it (Titanium backup needs root) and to root you still need a custom recovery so I would just recommend the method I suggested but apart from that the method is correct

Finally got round to doing this and i got an error 115
'ERROR [155~159]: IMAGE ERROR'... One of these error messages will appear when you use the incorrect RUU to update and the image file size is larger than the Flash ROM size. In this case, download the correct RUU version and try again.
Should i update to the 3.33.401.106 RUU first. If so, where do I find it?
Sorry about this

I flashed an AOSP 5.0 rom. During this I lost my google apps, which I expected. But I also lost all my apps, including ClockworkMod, and titanium backup. I cannot download apps to phone, as the phone "cant open file." My pc, win 7, can not detect phone, and I cant get the drivers updates, cuz I am stupid, which means that i cannot sideload apps. what do I do?

If you are not competent in your flashing skills, why do you bother risking to brick perfectly working devices is beyond me

You need to flash a custom recovery after the update.
Recovery can be found in original development thread.
After that add zip on SD and flash via recovery

this is the solution i had posted on another thread...
Don't worry. Same thing happened to me. After factory resetting your phone, open the HTC app store and search for GMS. The first option will have GMS (followed by some Chinese...it'll have the android icon). Download that. After its downloaded, click on the GMS app from the app drawer. Follow the instructions and it will download the Google apps. Once downloaded, remove your SD card and type *#*#442#*#* in the phone dialer. It will automatically restart your phone and install all the Google packages!

cos13 Stuck on bootlogo after manual ota update

Hi,
Because I couldn't wait until the cos13 ota hit my area.
I downloaded the cos13 incremental update zip file (link from this thread) https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/cos-13-the-perfect-os-for-oneplus-one-i-love-it.441003/
I first confirmed that I was on the correct version for it to update (cos 12.1.1 YOG7DAS2K1)
Everything went well, it updated, but now the phone is stuck on the bootlogo really long, then starts optimising the apps reboots and does this again.
also the new bootlogo has this mod ready thing at the bottom now (not sure if that's normal)
I can still boot into the stock recovery and fastboot mode, but can't seem to acces the file system on my pc.
Any help on getting this thing working again would be great!
Thanks in advance
-Isaac
easiest way is to factory reset from recovery, if you can afford it.
First off it is stuck on boot animation, wipe data (factory reset) from recovery and you're good to go hopefully

For whatever reason...Cyanogen decided to make Google APP mandatory to run COS 13. If you remove the app or disable it you'll get a magnificiente bootloop. Maybe you removed Google App?

Any way to solve this issue ? Wipe data, partition and Media does nothing.
Is reflashing CM12 from ADB works ?

I fixed the problem dirty flashing again the ROM but if you already wiped data and flashed again the ROM, you may have another different problem causing the bootloop.
Maybe I can try to flash ROM again... But as I Wiped Data, I don't have the ROM available in my OPO and I don't know how to flash using another method

If you don't have TWRP recovery, you could try to fastboot this ROM: http://builds.cyngn.com/factory/bacon/cm-12.1-YOG7DAS2K1-bacon-signed-fastboot-bed37f2e18.zip
There are plenty of guides to do this, even some scripts to make the process kind of automatic.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guide-return-opo-to-100-stock-t2826541
More guides on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63294096&postcount=4
And some script to make the process easier.
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-oneplus-one-flashing-fastboot-recovery.301131/
Make sure you choose your Oneplus ONE version correctly (16GB/64GB)
Thanks a lots for your quick answers, I will try using your ADB process.
Hey so yeah I already factory reset from recovery,
I didn't wipe my data yet because I still want to recover some files from the phone.
and yeah I did have almost every google app disabled (not removed).
after a factory reset these are normally activated again though? so idk what's up with that.
also does somebody know a way to retreive all files from the phone, through adb maybe? since I can't acces the file system on my pc rn
I'm gonna try to fastboot that rom you linked later (after I attempt to recover my files)

It's kinda 'mean' that they force you to have these on. Once I have my phone up and running again on cos13 and I disable the google app it's just instantly going to bootloop once I reboot?

Yes, it happened to me. Then I dirty flashed again the ROM, but I was having bootloop as well . I had to remove again Google APP from TWRP Explorer (I think it's called Velvet in /system/priv-app), reboot again in another bootloop and dirty flashed again the ROM. Lost a lot of time but I didn't want to lost /data and setup everything again.
Once you disable an APP is saved in some file in /data partition so simply dirty flashing ROM won't solve it.

I was able to fix it without wipe.
Steps to fix bootloop after disabling Google APP
Enter TWRP and remove /system/priv-app/Velvet folder in File Manager
Reboot system. It will go into bootloop again but at least it will remove Google APP from the list of disabled apps
Enter TWRP again and dirty flash ROM again.
Reboot and it should be ok

There's a way to flash recovery without a pc, you have to use Flashify. Just google it.
But you must be rooted, otherwise it won't work.
