How to install custom ROMs over Jelly bean leak 1 - Motorola Atrix 2

Hi ,
Will it work if I install Mokee Kitkat version over jelly bean leak 1 using AP Fastboot mode..
Please help.
I want to Flash JB leak 1. I need Mokee as primary and only firmware in my mobile. Is it possible.
If it is possible? how to flash GAPPS?
PS: I don't want to use BMM

Why flash a jb leak just to put Mokee on top of it? Are you trying to flash Mokee with rsd lite? :what:
If you don't yet know how to flash gapps then you should do some more reading before going any further.
Last but not least no BMM = no Mokee.

Hey 1BadWolf, I am aware Gapps installation using BMM. Is it possible to flash Mokee using RSDlite. Do you have any custom ROM suggestion that i could instakk using RSD

You can't use RSD lite to flash anything but Motorola firmwares (FXZ files). It will not flash a zipped ROM or gapps. If you want a custom rom you have to use a custom recovery which for the Atrix 2 is BMM. That's the nature of the beast. I understand why you ask because I don't like BMM very much, but I like MotoBlur even less so I use BMM as a means to an end.
Brought to you by time and realtive dimensions in space.

The KitKat version of TWRP from scanno can flash only KitKat ROMs. You will need to flash the regular TWRP to flash 4.3 JellyBean ROMs.

Open up the zip file for the ROM
Goto META-INF/com/google/android
Open updater-script
Delete the first line (that has the assert function) and save
Flash the zip and it should work now.

[Q] Troubleshooting while updating to 4.4.4

Hi all,
Since a few days I'm trying to update my Nexus 5 to Android 4.4.4 but everything I've tryed has failed !
Today I'm running stock ROM 4.4.2 + root + TWRP recovery + Xposed
What I've tryed :
_ OTA : device reboot on recovery and does nothing
_ Flash stock using the latest Nexus Rom Toolkit from Wug Refresh : device reboot on bootloader and get stuck on a "downloading..." message while PC get stuck on "downloading bootloader"
_ Flash zip from TWRP : tryed several zip, all of them has failed
I don't know what to do next, so now I'm asking your help...
Also I hope this post is in the right section !
Download vomer's stock rooted 4.4.4 rom from the development section and dirty flash it from custom recovery. This should do the job.
You can find the mentioned rooted stock in my signature, section 6.6

Before trying this custom ROM could you explain me the difference with the stock ROM and why I cannot flash the stock one ?
Is it because I have Xposed or something ?
And also after flashing the custom by vomer, can I try to flash again the stock one ?

The One which we are telling you to flash is the stock rom. Yes, it's because you have Xposed and other modules installed.. God knows what changes it has made to system.
There's no need to flash the factory images again as vomer's thread contains the stock itself.

All of your questions have already been answered, except the Vomer ROM one. While technically a custom ROM, it is only stock ROM with root. So going back to pure stock would be pointless.

CM 12.1 restarts after first startup (loop)

Hi there,
I flashed omerjerk' CM 12.1 according to the install guide and also flashed GAPPS afterwards.
CM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3212636
GAPPS: as suggested in install guide https://github.com/cgapps/vendor_google/tree/builds/arm64 i took the "gapps-5.1-arm64-2015-07-17-15-08.zip"
When rebooting the system, CM optimized all apps and then started.
Then, I got the CM setup screen but the phone did not recognize any touches. After a few seconds the phone restarted again and I got into a loop.
Can someone help please?
EDIT: I have tried different ROMS (e.g. this one but I have the same problem. This time I could swipe through the languages for 1 sec. Then freeze again and restart
I guess your on MIUI 6.7.x.x or 7.0.x.x ...................... to use any custom rom on Mi4i you need to be on MIUI 6.6.x.x or earlier verion to it before u flash custom roms ....
Fastboot your device with 6.6.x.x to fix and install CM or any roms.

I got it working.
I tried http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4i/development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-t3212636
and the guide included already the flash to MIUI 6.6.10
I think everybody should include that step in their guides

Unable to Understand the whole custom rom flashing procedure

I have Mi 4i on MIUI v7 Stable which i recieved through OTA.
I have already rooted my device and also installed a custom recovery twrp v2.8.7.0
1. As i read in every custom rom thread i need to degrade to v5.6 / v6.6 to be able to install the rom. How should i do it..?
2.What is the way to do it as i am unable to understand threads out here as well as on MIUI forum .?
3.What are fastboot roms..?(as i read on miui forum)
4.Is there any way i can flash the older version through a zip file on my twrp recovery..?
Please help thank you..
Well, basically there are 2 types of ROM, one is recovery ROM and another is fastboot ROM. Example, u can see in this LINK http://en.miui.com/thread-135200-1-1.html
Recovery ROM flashing - You need to rename the ROM to update.zip, then flash it using STOCK RECOVERY (not twrp)
Fastboot ROM - You need to flash using miflash - shown in this tutorial http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
When u want to flash any custom ROM, u need to fastboot flash your mi 4i to lower grade, 6.6.x or 6.5.x, then install twrp, and proceed install any custom rom that u want. Directly flashing custom from mi7 using twrp will makes ur custom stuck at selecting language or didnt boot at all.
Then whts wid Global Stable Global beta Global dev...?? Y such a nomenclature..??
Whats d diff between Recovery rom and Fastboot rom..?
And as u provided the details can u help me how to fastboot flash my device to v 6.x.xx..?
Wil fastboot flash remove my current twrp recovery..?
Which version should be flashed stable v6.5 or dev v6.5..?

Global stable is the rom that you want. Global beta and dev is usually updated in weekly basis. Its like nightly cm.

As I told you in previous post, the recovery ROM is flashed by stock recovery while fastboot ROM is flashed by miflash software through fastboot mode. Fastboot ROM has few extra items, like recovery img etc which makes it bigger. But they are technically the same with each other.

Just take stable one for now. You can then try each of the ROM easily once u get the gist how to flash ROM properly. Good luck.
