Hey all, I've looked all through this forum, and can't seem to find an answer.
I have an unlocked bootloader. If I use any custom rom (have tried various 4.3 and 4.4), WiFi will see the access points, but will not connect to them no matter what, or where.
If I go back to stock, wifi works fine.
I've messed with all of the wifi settings in the phone. I've found a couple of posts in the forums here, and tried one suggestion of replacing a file in the /persist foler. Doesn't help.
Has anyone seen this before and/or know what to do to fix it?

I had CleanROM 1.2 and i decided to flash JB (the file from Asus Support Site). Everything seemed ok but the GPS is not working. On Gps Test after few minutes there are only 4 satelites in view and 0 in use. I left the tablet awake for half an hour and nothing changed. I flashed the US version but I bought my tablet in Italy. Maybe could be this the problem?
This is probably the problem. Though I haven't actually found the gps.conf file on the tf300, it is probably there somewhere or has something equivalent.
This file controls which servers your device looks for, and is usually region dependent.
You can read more about the gps.conf file here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239713
Yes I try to find the gps.conf file too. I just imported from differents TF300 Roms but still no success. Now i'm trying with the guide that you have posted
EDIT:
I tried the method that u have posted but it still doesn't work !

My intention wasn't to post a solution for you, just try to give some more backgrund as to what could be the problem. Sorry if I gave you the impression I had the fix.
Wiped everything (system partition also) and flashed the WW JB version. Still having a not working GPS. What could I do?
Hey,
So I mainly opened my account here because of this problem, and I need to fix it as fast as possible...
I rooted my phone, that went fine. Then I tried to upgrade the baseband to the ICS ROM, which didn't really work (I followed all the steps but when the phone turned on it was the same version..) so I skipped that step to install a new ROM. Installed the ICS ROM on my phone, but then I wanted to install the new baseband (P500-v20G) so I will have my network back. I ran LGMDP-v1.5.exe but it didn't detect any ports. My computer doesn't detect my phone either. And on a different computer my friend tried to help me, it connected but the baseband upgrading still didn't work. Also now I get plenty of errors when my phone is on about processes closing (didn't happen after the first time I installed a new ROM, but after I tried different other ROMs it did).
Please help me :crying:
So my two problems: phone not connecting to the computer (I'm sure it's a problem with my computer) and the baseband problem.
Problems solved.
I can say only one thing.. Please search and read all important and sticky threads before experimenting with your phone. Atleast have proper knowledge. These kind of dumb issues are already been answered a thousand times.
Temporary fix for your Baseband.. use the first link in my signature.
Flash it. AND Due to old scripts.. it does work with new recoveries.. so in that case use root explorer.. unzip and paste in /system/libs.. set permissions right.. thats all.
About how to upgrade Baseband and computer problem.. search and solve it yourself.

I love you. You saved me
By the way I looked around and tried everything that's why I made this thread.
Thanks.
One more problem- I don't have 3G internet. I can call and use wifi, but no internet. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Check you APNs ( Access Point Name ). Setting is located under Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names on CM7. I think on ICS and JB it's under Settings -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names. You mentioned a P500, so you're carrier should be listed as ATT under the APNs list.
Hello Guys!
This weekend i had the Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 of a friend cause he wanted me to try to simunlock his device.
In order to do that i had to flash a other modem version and since I had i there aldready, i flashed some custom roms to satisfy myself (I myself have a company (I)Phone and since then i hadn't used an android phone).
And here's the problem... the wifi didn't work (when i tried to activate it, it just said: activating wifi, please wait...). when I wanted to play a song it said: EQ could not be found. please close other music players(non installed) or restart phone (didn´t help). And when I wanted to switch from photos to videos in the camera app, it just threw out an error message (can't remember what it said). Maybe there were more errors but this are the ones I found in the short testing time.
Yesterday evening I somehow managed to fix it (still don't know how or why). But now I am curious about what happened.
Factory resets and stock rom didn't help. I restored the phone to stock as much as possible, but I think that this wasn't the solution.
Anybody here encountered the same problem(s) and can tell me what the reason was? I searched the forums and google (maybe wrong?) and couldn't find the reason.
I hope someone can tell me =)
thanks
Edit: Sorry, didn't read all stickies =/ (about no questions in general)
Hmmmmmmm Download orginal stock from sammobile an flash it but dont start the phone. Go to recovery and make a superwipe. try.

The problem might be related to modem.
It is reponsible for the wifi and you mobile network.
And when u flashed some else it breaked that function. ..
And after flashing the Stock one Your might have fixed the problem.
This is how I interpreted the problem.
Might be the Reason. ..

Basic rundown, I bought an HTC One M8 on tmoblie yesterday, coming off an iphone 4. I've heard you have have have to root your android devices, so that was one of the very first things I did. Shortly after, I was trying to figure out exactly what I could do with the root, and decided to flash a custom ROM. I tried the Google Play edition posted on the dev section of this same forum. Everything worked as planned, except for one huge problem: my data no longer works. I can connect to wifi fine, as well as send texts, but no 4g lte access anymore. Idk if this is a common problem, if I'm doing something simple wrong, etc. I made a backup in TWRP, and saved it to my desktop, and tried restoring my phone to see if that would help, but I must have dne something wrong there too, as it doesn't show any files when I try to restore under TWRP.
I would greatly appreciate any and all help or tips. I'm new to the android rooting scene and should have taken it more slowly. I thought I had done sufficient research, but I guess I ****ed the pooch somewhere along the way. Thanks in advance.

ive been searching around and cant get this thing to connect to a network. i was on mm and i wanted to go back to kk so i tried just doing a full wipe and flashed the fastboot 44s rom (i had a bunch of useless crap saved on my phone and i wanted to get rid of it anyways).
the phone booted up but it says audiofx error and then just reboots. ive tried the msm coloros download tool but its not recognizing my phone in fastboot and neither is the cm11s version of it. i can flash fastboot cm11s roms but i can not get this thing to stay on for more than 3secs.
i have an efs backup from a year ago when this happened but it says the files are corrupted but they shouldnt be. they were iso and i changed their file types to bin (not sure if that makes any sense at all)
could someone please help. thanks in advance
