Hello, I am working on an application to bring in all the information for the Moto X into one easy to use application. Currently, it is all functional but I would like to ask for some opinions on UI and other information I could add. I am not looking to make another ROM Installer or anything that would require root. This is more of a one stop shop for all the files and guides you could need. If you guys could give me your opinions I would appreciate it.

I have had my Droid X for a little over a month now, and have become extremely familiar with it by myself and by the help over at Droid X Forums.
I am wondering if there are any guides (Official or otherwise) that I can use to become an official member of xda developers, and begin contributing fully to the Android Community. (Not to meantion getting passed the eFuse...)
If anyone know of ANY RELIABLE developer guides, that would be awesome.
(Also, on a side note, go check out Droid X Forums if you got a Droid X and tell them hollywood sent you. )
Thank you guys so much for all the assistance and I hope to be an amazing contributor in the near future!
Happy hacking!

Well, I'm looking for a phone in the 300-400 dollar range that is good for customization. I mean I don't want to have to do any ridiculous things to unlock the bootloader, and the phone should have already have a somewhat decent development (in Xda for ROMs, etc.). Basically I have a Galaxy S4 but the bootloader is locked and I don't feel like using safestrap so I just want to buy a new phone, but I want to make sure I can customize it without any locked bootloaders or flashing restrictions.
HeySwiftLeeO,
If you are looking for an easy phone to customize with the ability to get a good development community and a token to unlock the bootloader, you need to look at all the HTC phones that HTC lists as dev devices. HTC has a great forum on their dev site and they really are quite good about getting back to you if you have specific question. I have modded several HTC devices including the Vivid and the One and each time was a great experience. And if you are looking to mod the hardware as well HTC'S architecture is a real pleasure to work with and there are a ton of 3rd party Chinese manufacturers that make the mods cheaper and less expensive than trying to do similar things with Samsung or Sony where the parts are twice as expensive. I would recommend starting with either the One X or the One because they used those as dev devices and there is a ton of support with both HTC and other developers on the forums. There is also a big community on these forums for those phones and there are plenty of ROMs to choose from which always helps when you are looking for a ROM that best suits your needs.
I hope this helps you and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Without doubt, a Nexus device

There are 3 threads devoted to discussions about devices, please repost your question in one of these three threads: The what should I buy thread or the The Device Suggestion Thread or the The Device Comparison Thread.
Thanks!
Please don't get mad at me for making this thread.
I just haven't seen any recent, non-shady looking places with a guide to root an HTC One X.
I'd like to root my HTC One X to:
1) Improve battery life by:
i) Safely undervolting/underclocking it
ii) Turning off 2 of the 4 cores
iii) Installing the BEST rom for battery
(I'm not sure of their respective advantages/risks/disadvantages.. could you please let me know?)
iv) Any other way, really
2) Get rid of the "3" Network branding
3) Maybe get a nice ROM
4) Perhaps I'll get Titanium Backup Pro,
I recently had my phone serviced under warranty at HTC service, and the 3-month-warranty-of-repairs thing will end in a month, and the normal 2 year warranty expired in April.
Should I root my HOX now?
How should I root my HOX? Could you please direct me to a still-valid rooting guide for my HOX?
Also, could you please recommend what I should do once I root my phone?
EDIT: Also, I'm a bit confused about custom ROMs. Does having one installed mean the default HTC Sense is removed? Like, the weather widgets and such will be gone? The 'settings' menus will look different, etc?
Thanks
The first thing you should do is probably be in the correct forum [emoji12]
You're in the HTC One XL / at&t One X (Evita) forum, and you actually have the HTC One X (Endeavoru). Plus, you've posted in the General Section, when you should have posted in the Q&A Section.
What you should do is head over to the HTC One X forum, but before you post another thread there you should do some research first. XDA rules state that a user must search thoroughly before posting. All you should really need to do is check out the sticky threads (the ones at the very top) in each of the sections there, your question has been asked a million times before, and therefore has been answered a million times before. Time to do some reading.
PS. Asking which ROM is best/most stable/fastest/prettiest, or asking for a suggestion isn't allowed, here's why. To say one ROM is better is to infer that the others are inferior in some way. This is disrespectful to the devs who spend their spare time bringing us these awesome ROMs free of charge. Each user has different tastes anyway, the best way to see which ROM suits you is to flash a few and find out for yourself. Battery life differs greatly from user to user anyway, it depends a lot on how you use your device.

Dear Sir,
Iam looking for a new smartphone that should last for the coming two years.
the specs that Iam looking for is a reliable one.
I have some models in mind but I need your assistance in order to decide.
first choice: Huawei mate S or LG G4 or Samsungs S6 Edge +
second choice : Gionee Elife E8 or BLU Pure XL or Allview X2 Xtreme.
Remark: in option 2, although the three look like together but there should be some one who is better in quality and manufacturing products.
here I need your advice and recommendation for option 1 & 2
last but not least, if you really recommend a mobile that is not in the above list then I will be more than happy to hear from your side.
Awaiting for your reply and thanks in advance
Hello,
Thank you for using XDA Assist
Thank you also very much for asking our advise as to your new phone choice.
While most of us here very big phone enthusiast and have been on these boards for years, the one thing we have learned is that there is so much individualism and what someone may want for their device is not the same that someone else may want.
You have to analyze what is best for you.
What do you want to do with your phone?
How much is a certain feature valuable to you?
This is like asking which is the Best Rom? There is no answer for that!
It is what is best for the user.
May suggest you make a list as you have of devices you may be interested in.
Then go to read about each device the specs, maybe go to the XDA Forum for those devices and read what the users there are saying about it.
Collect as much information as you can then sit down go through it and figure out what is best for you.
Good Luck
Ragnar
