Motorola bootloader unlock... no email? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had no issue getting to the screen where it says 'we sent you the code to your email' or something along those lines, but I still haven't received the code. I also check the spam box as it suggested, but nothing. Does this take awhile, or did anyone else have issue with this?

if you're using gmail click on all mail it should be there..

Just sign up in Motorola using google and then follow the unlocking procedure on :https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a :good:

Yeah I tried that. And then the server aide said they have sent the mail containing unlock key. But didn't receive any .

Unlock pattern.

Forgot mine, went to set a new one, and got screwed.
I assume it's stored in an SQLite DB somewhere, anyone found it yet?
I'm in the same boat too...
If you put it in wrong it asks you to wait 30 secs.
Then after that keep putting the wrong code in again then it will ask you for your
Gmail email address and user name to unlock it. When you enter your gmail email address
You have to enter it as. (Your name)@googlemail.com. as gmail will not work.

Try just your username, that is what has worked for me in the past.

smsfix update from HTC <23/7/10>

Hi!
Downloaded from htc site, apply to my diamond.
I dont know what changed, seemly smoother and faster, not lagging for seconds.
But after this update, i get a message everytime from my network service after send message: "sms send succesfully". It's not from the other phone, not a delivery report. How can I disable this "popup reminder" from the network?
Cheers!

To disable the "message sent succesfully" use this cab
Still getting the irritating noise!

I downloaded and installed the CAB, which seems to create a new registry key - but I still get the SMS sent message and alert. I tried a soft reset, but no change.

Have you tried this key ?
HLM\Software\Jataayu\Messaging\DisableSMSSuccess : set to 1
This one worked for me.
Still annoying

Thanks, I had tried this - both by installing the CAB and by creating the key and value direct. I also contacted HTC, who helpfully told me how to disable the Delivery reports!
I'll keep trying!
EDIT: Created the key again, did a soft reset, and this time it does work! Don't know what I did wrong last time. Thanks for the advice!

[Q] [JB#2]Overclock and phone number recognition problems

I recently flashed JB to my atrix 2 and i have the following problems :
1. Whenever I receive a text message, the app adds a prefix to the number (+40 in my case) and it won't recognize the person's name because they appear in my contact list without the +40 in front. How can I stop it from adding that to the number?
2. I tried overclocking using this method, but it won't do anything. I have a 1.0 GHz device (sadly) and i tried both 1.1 and 1.2, but they don't do anything. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?
I also have a problem with the GPS, but I don't think there is a solution to this one, as i noticed that i'm not the only one.

2. In the meantime, i found that post myself and it worked. Thanks !

Just did that. No difference. I'm starting to think that my only chance is to modify all the contacts to that phone number format I also tried with other messaging apps, but still no difference. This is frustrating.

Ok, I mightve found a solution to your problem..
Select Assisted Dialing in Phonebook/Settings/Assited Dialing and then Select your country code, this will automatically add the country code to all numbers (i think) and sort your problem.. Hope this works :good:

That also did nothing. I think there's no way to fix this but changing the numbers manually. Is there some software from motorola with which i can do this from the computer?
Also, thanks alot for trying to help me.

That's exactly what i did. I asked a friend to send me a message and it showed up as as +40xxxxxxxxx even if i had an open thread with his name (messages i sent to him).

Do you have contacts database on your SIM Card?
-- If the answer is: yes - you sync these contacts with your google acount, and then erase the sim contacts, reboot, set your gogle account as defoult in People --> Menu --> Contacts to display. It's work for me.
-- If the answer: No. I dont have any idea.

Why don't you kick off all apps one by one and check if that appears again?
Capture a log and see what activity is interacting with your SMS program.

Contacts not saving.

Hello. So I'm having an issue with my contacts not saving. I'll enter the contact name and number, click the Done button, and exit. A few minutes later my new contacts are gone. Google backup is on, I checked in the People app and selected All Contacts, and yet, they are missing. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks
Ignore >_<
Anybody? Its gotten to the point that I can't add new contacts.

Yes, but it keeps saying that synching fails. I've logged out and back in. So far so good.
You have contacts sync turned on in google settings?
Anyone have any solutions for this? This is happening to a coworkers N5 and its stumping me as to what is going on.
