Hello, I am running ViperOne 4.3 now and I absolutely love it. I was wondering if any one else is able to record video while playing music as prior to this (locked, not rooted, and stock 4.3) I was able to do so. I did not check this with 4.4 but then again I only ran it for one day before I found this amazing rom.
Anyways, if anyone has figured this out or if it could be added to future updates please let me know!!

Just noticed that after installing CleanRom 2.2 that the stock music app no longer bookmarks the part of the audio track I was on and will revert to a previous track much earlier on. Basically, if I pause and let the phone go to sleep, it doesn't keep the spot I was up to when I go back to the app. I've noticed this in the Music widget as well.
I listen to a lot of audio books so this is kind of a big pain in the butt. Anyone else have this issue on CleanRom or any other ROM? Never noticed it before but I'm not sure if it's just limited to the ROM.

I am running CleanROM 5.5.1 and am having trouble watching Google Play Movies. The show/movie will freeze at the 9 second mark. I've flashed CM10 and Jelly Beans Build 7. CM10 works without a problem. Jelly Beans has the same issue as CleanROM. Reading other threads, it seems to be an issue with the DRM (CM10 removed the DRM so it doesn't look for it). Sprint and AT&T threads suggested using a different ROM. Problem is, I like CleanROM the most. I'd rather not have to flash to CM10 just to watch a tv show or movie. This also seemed to be limited to the GSIII for some reason. Other phones and tablets are not running into this issue.
Therefore, two questions. 1) Does anyone know of a workaround? 2) Is there a ROM similar to CleanROM that Google Play Movies works on?

Anyone else having issues with playback on Play Movies? I'm on Venom2.1 Android 4.1.1 and keep getting errors saying it wont play, touch to retry. It works perfectly on AOSP (4.2.2) though... I want to report this issue to the Play developers but don't know if it's just a problem on my end.
Anyone else have the same issues or know of a fix? Thanks.
I have the same issue on viper xl ver 3.2.6 on android 4.1.1. I receive an 31 error message. Is this the error you get?

Update to Viper 2.2.0 and you will end issues with playback. I have same problem when I updated over ota now dont have problems. :highfive:
I was using the app flawlessly on a JB rom (Slimbean for YP-G70) and now, in my KK rom (Beanstalk for YP-G70), the app crashes upon trying to scan for media. Due to its use of its own media scanner, the app is useless with this error. I love it and just want my music playing right again. I own the full version. Any ideas on what I can do? I would post in the thread for Beanstalk but unfortunately I am still locked out of the dev section.

I updated to Android 5.0.2 with CM 12. I'm using the Nightly "cm-12-20150118-NIGHTLY". I can't play any videos inside the gallery or in several other video players like VLC. I can use MxMedia Player, because it's using a custom softwaredecoder (I think so). Is there any way to fix this? I found users that have the similar problem but no solution.

I've got the same exact problem. I'm guessing there's a codec missing but I'm not sure what package (or Google App) will provide it.

If anyone comes across this, I found the answer for me. I enabled "NuPlayer" under "Developer options." All my videos recorded in the gallery now play.
BTW - I hadn't really worried about this until recently since I always used MxPlayer which played everything anyway.
