Anyone knows if this is branded/carrier specific? The csc seems to be the same as the carrier specific NA7s.
Can this be flashed over unbranded NA6?

It was not a q. It was a statement. But you can download more than 1Gb without premium ac. (at least it used to be possible). It just takes forever.
I guess most people can afford 5€ or so (don't rem exactly) for premium with a month of downloads...

Macedonia is a valid country name, but when Macedonia became a member of the United Nations in 1993 , as a result of a dispute with Greece over its name, it was admitted under the provisional reference of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia alias FYROM.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonia_naming_dispute
Samsung isnt interesting to this dispute so they use Macedonia name.

Just flashed Macedonian NA7 and what a nervewreck. I was on PHN NA6 (unbranded), flashing went well all the way untill the last bit where Odin suddenly said FAIL!
Wow! I unplugged and tried reboot, but only to get bootloader stating error "try emergency recovery by kies" (or something like that). I tried booting to recovery but same happend. Tried rebooting again only to get the same error message. Then I pulled battery and rebooted, again the same error from bootloader. At last I got it to download mode and tried flashing CWM to be able to install backup. It flashed fine but then it wouldn't boot to recovery. Suddenly it just rebooted normaly and I could log on.
Now strangely device info says I'm on NA7 so the fw flash must have succeeded afterall. Info says Bootloader is still NA6.
Rooting with CF-autoroot went well. Same with CWM. Haven't noticed any changes so far, but I have not tested for ext.sd bug yet.
Enyone else faced this when flashing NA7?

So it is branded afterall? Where did you find that info?
Now device info says I have no csc. Sammobile app's fw checker shows no csc also.
Maybe I will install my NA6 backup instead or reflash PHN NA6.

Ok. Sammobile.com's FW download page shows only Macedonian without the carrier name which is present on all their other carrier specific FWs
I Flashed back to unbranded NA6.

Damn it... I guess the update still fails from unbranded to branded CSC. This is bad news.

Dont we have enough Kitkat threads?
And dont tell me because this is a new firmware. Sammobile provides that for us!

Just now, the counter could see it was previously hidden.
And after flashing back to the version below will not return.

Return to the version below is not.

Yes there was a new bootloader with the added line
Through the work of Dr ketan a method was devised to downgrade to 4.1.2 bootloader and still run 4.3

In this version 4.3 does not work to yet.
4.3 In a lot of that has changed.
Blame SELinux translated into active mode.
Do not run many programs at the root and so on.
I made a kernel with disabled SELinux from source j1, and many programs are beginning to work .
J6 on until there is no source.
kernel no selinux N900XXUBMJ1
https://hotfile.com/dl/253342594/f6cfad7/Boot_2.tar.html
After the firmware to make WI-FI we correct line in the build.prop
so should look like:
ro.securestorage.support = false

This works for me:
-download bin
-rename bin file to modem.bin
-open mobile Oden
-select modem 2
-choose renamed modem file
-select flash
-it will reboot to download
-long press power button to reboot
-phone will install file
And you should be good.

No, if it's not reflected, that means it didn't flash properly.
I used mobile odin following the instructions above, didn't flash properly either.
Instead, I used Odin on my PC, it flashed correctly this time.
Flash, reboot back into CWM or TWRP and flash 1 more time... dont use mobile, use standard ODIN 3.04

Why not use mobile Oden, I use 3.85 pro and it works perfect. I have flashed the last 2 modem changes with it.

I might be using the free version and for some reason the pro wont install on my CM11... I didnt try a second time so I just went to odin 3.04 and did it that way. I would assume mobile odin should work but just didnt work for me for whatever reason

I flashed the MK6 modem from the Bell ROM and I'm using Android 4.2.2, it's working fine for me, my carrier is Telcel in Mexico, I think it will work with all the carriers
Any noticeable benefits with the new modem?

The data connection is more stable, switches flawlessly between 3G and LTE, signal doesn't get dropped when the modem switches the connection mode, LTE seems to be a little faster than before, and I don't know if it's a placebo effect, but the battery drain seems to be lower now.
Thanks
Just flash it into odin 3.07
had to flash 2 times, first times i was still on mg1,second work
What i did
-closed kies
-in odin put modem.bin in phone section and untick autoreboot
-turn off phone
-i remove battery dont know if that one is need
-put phone into download mode hold home+volume down+power and then vol up
-plug phone into pc
-flash in odin

Aditional options for *#2263#
Might not have access to this with euro or American csc. Canadian csc allows more secret codes compared to rest.

The tutorial above is in Spanish... Perhaps you should let people know that.
Hey, running Omega 4.3 ROM
I am assuming I have to downgrade to 4.2.2 and then go back to 4.3 - anyone know if that's true?
I've been running omega up to a few days ago. Just use Odin and flash. Restart the phone and flash again. It should stick.
Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk
just a quick word of appreciation for the modem file. I flashed using Odin 3.09 -- you have to wait a while before you get the green all clear. Then flashed GE14 and avoided the possible issues with stock OTA. All is working well.

Stock FIrmware Collection - Post all firmwares here!

Hi guys,
Lately its been getting annoying seeing new threads pop up for every single variation of every single new firmware that gets released so instead of doing such, I ask that you post all firmwares in this thread to keep them in a central location.
From now, any new stock firmware threads created will be closed.
If any users would be interested in maintaining this thread by updating it as a list of firmwares so users don't have to trawl through the thread to find a specific firmware could they please contact me via PM to sort out the details
Thanks.
Jonny

If you experience FC,
- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
- Choose to wipe/factory reset.

I've just flashed this ROM and getting repeated 'Samsung Keyboard' FC's. Wiped / Factory Reset / Cleared Cache / Re-flashed tna.
Making it impossible to even get through the initial set up as can't type into anything to set up accounts...
Any ideas?
Cheers
Paul

Hope it works out for you buddy
