If you have previously ROOT firmware will already be VARRANTY BIT 1. On any update.
Just now, the counter could see it was previously hidden.
And after flashing back to the version below will not return.
Firmware for Russia, as clearly seen in the version.
Return to the version below is not.
Since the stitching is a new bootloader.

In this version 4.3 does not work to yet.
4.3 In a lot of that has changed.
Blame SELinux translated into active mode.
Do not run many programs at the root and so on.
I made a kernel with disabled SELinux from source j1, and many programs are beginning to work .
J6 on until there is no source.
kernel no selinux N900XXUBMJ1

After the firmware to make WI-FI we correct line in the build.prop
so should look like:
ro.securestorage.support = false

It is a maintenance update AFAIK (to repair the crashing of Settings while uninstalling any app). There maybe other improvements but I didn't notice any.

Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
It is more or less equivalent to XXKB3 in usability, here are few things I noticed as compared to DDKB2:
1. GPS is way better (Got an instant lock on 3 Sat using Sygic)
2. Boot/Shutdown time is less
3. Battery backup is better (but not better than KB3)
4. No more crashing of process.com.android.settings while uninstalling apps
5. Relatively smooth transitions
6. More free space (18MB) in system partition than XXKB3 (11.8MB)
Formatted internal SD and installed this update via Kies. Let's see how it goes...
Any idea when we might have an official gingerbread update?

First of all download XXKB3
Use the link for flashing procedure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004622
1)Flash XXKB3 twice with the pit file.
2)then flash DDKF1 since its a single file you need to flash it in PDA( no need to use pit file)
3) connect to kies, if it says device cannot be updated
4) flash DDKF1 again
5) now kies should say latest version
Note: hard reset after every flash that is dial *2767*3855# once you reach the homescreen

IF you have ddkf1 as single files, put it as pda in ODIN and flash. This is how i do to get back from kph. In case you get bootloop, go to recovery, wipe cache and data.

[FEELER][Bounty]Root de la Vega Exynos Port

After a lot of testing remotely I haven't been able to crack the Exynos based Note 3. I currently use KNOX files within the system.img to call to a file on the sdcard as root to install SuperSU and supporting files. The Exynos doesn't seem to have KNOX, at least not yet. It does have a counter like the older Galaxy series had, except there is currently no way to reset the counter.
I am pretty confident that if I had the device I could get it rooted without increasing the counter. Borrowed, donated, gifted.. doesn't really matter.
I am trying to gauge the interest in doing this, are there even that many people on XDA with the Exynos based models?
I don't have a complete list of models that are Exynos based, but you can get a pretty good idea from this;
http://www.sammobile.com/2013/08/15...agon-800-variant-sm-n9005-specs-confirmation/
Post your model info if you have an Exynos based Note 3! Lets get a list started.
Great move.. This is mine in India.

The download mode doesn't show knox or binary counters even after rooting the device. I could only see my binary counter at 1, when I've looked into the triangle app.
Although it does not have KNOX status in download mode, after rooting using CF-Auto-Root make KNOX cannot be installed/run in the app. If i am not mistaken it said knox cannot register or something like that...
Beside the counter of course.

As stated in CF-Auto-Root Thread:
" You will need to flash a stock kernel and stock recovery to reset the binary status"
If someone who rooted with CF-Auto-Root were to flash stock kernel and stock recovery and then try to install knox I think that might give us an idea if the root procedure is reversible? What do you guys think?
Edit:
So I now understand that the Custom Binary Count does not revert to zero. Is that all we are missing to get the root full reversible?
Yes, only that part is missing..

I get your point mate so i also think maybe that can be true
but i still have jus to questions on my head which makes me to think about this:
1- some people have rooted their exynos devices. and after that when they flashed back the stock rom and make a factory reset, they still weren't able to launch anything about the Knox app. so if there is not any flag on efuse or somewhere else, how is that possible that the Knox app recognizes the previous root and just refuses to be launched?
2- ok for example now we say that there is really not any flag about knox on our devices. if Samsung updates the bootloader and puts a knox flag, what would happen? i mean if we just flash the new stock fw without root, will still knox recognize the previous root and put knox flag to 0x1 immediately when the new bootloader will be installed?
sorry for my complicated message, but i hope i could explain my questions
EDIT: @designgears on the poll did you voted as Hell No, just curious

I can't speak for the others, but having a root method for Exynos models that didn't carry the risk of voiding the warranty of a $750 dollar phone would be extremely appealing to me.
Chainfire can't reset flash count on i9500 & SM-N900 because of exynos 5.
so. We can't enjoy Root .
Unless someone can provide one way to Root without increase flash count.
Or Someone can find way to reset flash count .

It was not a q. It was a statement. But you can download more than 1Gb without premium ac. (at least it used to be possible). It just takes forever.
I guess most people can afford 5€ or so (don't rem exactly) for premium with a month of downloads...

Macedonia is a valid country name, but when Macedonia became a member of the United Nations in 1993 , as a result of a dispute with Greece over its name, it was admitted under the provisional reference of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia alias FYROM.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macedonia_naming_dispute
Samsung isnt interesting to this dispute so they use Macedonia name.
Just flashed Macedonian NA7 and what a nervewreck. I was on PHN NA6 (unbranded), flashing went well all the way untill the last bit where Odin suddenly said FAIL!
Wow! I unplugged and tried reboot, but only to get bootloader stating error "try emergency recovery by kies" (or something like that). I tried booting to recovery but same happend. Tried rebooting again only to get the same error message. Then I pulled battery and rebooted, again the same error from bootloader. At last I got it to download mode and tried flashing CWM to be able to install backup. It flashed fine but then it wouldn't boot to recovery. Suddenly it just rebooted normaly and I could log on.
Now strangely device info says I'm on NA7 so the fw flash must have succeeded afterall. Info says Bootloader is still NA6.
Rooting with CF-autoroot went well. Same with CWM. Haven't noticed any changes so far, but I have not tested for ext.sd bug yet.
Enyone else faced this when flashing NA7?

So it is branded afterall? Where did you find that info?
Now device info says I have no csc. Sammobile app's fw checker shows no csc also.
Maybe I will install my NA6 backup instead or reflash PHN NA6.

Ok. Sammobile.com's FW download page shows only Macedonian without the carrier name which is present on all their other carrier specific FWs
I Flashed back to unbranded NA6.

Damn it... I guess the update still fails from unbranded to branded CSC. This is bad news.
Dont we have enough Kitkat threads?
And dont tell me because this is a new firmware. Sammobile provides that for us!

I just have to thank myself for fixing my problem. NOOB-mistake by myself.
I know this might be the wrong place for this but I have tried to find the proper place to post (perhaps my english sucks)
Sm-n9005
I have rooted my phone using Odin3 v3.09 and CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar.md5, and Root is OK.
Then I tried philz_touch_6.19.3-hlte and samsung-galaxy-note-3-smn900-twrp-odin, but I can't go into recovery mode.
Reebot Loop: Get this message:
Recovery Boot (Blue)
Set warranty bit: Recovery (yellow)
It must been something I've done wrong, but I can't find a solution. Read different guides, "how to" etc.....
Any help will be appreciated
thanks

TWRP 2.7.1.0 Galaxy Tab 4 7.0

Quote from General TWRP description by Dees_Troy:
Team Win Recovery Project 2.x, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Recovery image for Tab 4 7.0 uses Linux kernel 3.10.0

For some reason odin 3.09 fails to flash the device. If it's the same case for you, you can give it a try with heimdall it works fine.

I was able to flash this and it booted into recovery just fine. I didn't try to flash anything or backup device yet. It looks like the external sd isn't working. It showed 500mb free for both internal and external. I had 2gb free on the card though, now we just need some cool ROMs
Woah.... Hold on there. Are we talking about the TWRP for the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 (SM-T230NU). I thought it wasn't possible since it uses Marvell Hardware.

ls /dev/block/platform/soc.2/by-name/RECOVERY -l
<produces "lrwxrwxrwx root root 2014-07-28 13:34 RECOVERY -> /dev/block/mmcblk0p9>

You HAVE to add an md5 to flash thru odin on this device. If its not in tar.md5 itll get stuck and eventually fail. I figured that out flashing my kernel

I have the S4 and it didn't have Knox until the latest 4.4 Android update and since then it hasn't stopped development, but it might have slowed it down. I don't care if my phone shows the Knox has been tripped for the kernel, recovery, or rom. So if they do implement it on the Tab 4, which I doubt they will (its more of a cheap device for normal people, not businesses), the worst Samsung has done is just scare us with telling us the warranty is void. I wouldn't worry. I doubt it really is coming. I haven't heard it from anyone, so don't take me word for or against it

Have you placed the kernel source at kernel/samsung/degaswifi? If you don't want to compile the kernel you can use a prebuilt one (u can extract it from my recovery.img), but then you need to set TARGET_PREBUILT_KERNEL in BoardConfig.mk instead of TARGET_KERNEL_SOURCE

They also break Allshare Cast. To be specific, it will immediately disconnect after you connect rather than stay connected like it should. Apparently it checks that the flash counter is set to 0 and if not then it will refuse to stay connected. Sadly nobody has come up with a patched version yet so the only solution is to wait for Triangle Away to support the Tab 4.
got root and now got twrp , sweet!!!
Just wondering, does it work with SD cards yet or does everything have to be done using internal memory?
can someone put up a step by step guide sorry i am a noob. i am rooted now i want to have a custom recovery. and then after that will we be able to have custom roms?
