[Q] KitKat Bootanimation? - Xperia Tablet Z Themes and Apps

Is there a way to change the Bootanimation on the Tablet Z to the KitKat Bootanimation?
Thanks and regards, Chris
Sent from my Xperia Tablet Z (SGP321) using XDA Premium HD app.

The aspect ratio and resolution of the Kit Kat (I assume you mean Sony Kit Kat, right?) boot animation that leaked is different, because those are for phones... For now, we have three options: Wait for our device to get 4.4, someone remake the whole boot animation for our aspect ratio, or we wait for the XTZ's sucessor's system dump, which will take a while. It should be shown only at the end of this month.

[Q] Is it possible to have the screen lock animation from stock ICS?

I really enjoy the screen lock/screen unlock animation present on stock ICS such as the Galaxy Nexus (old TV style shut down basically). I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to put this on the HTC One X? If you do it would be greatly appreciated!
not yet, i believe we need the kernel source first

Tis unfortunate that its taking so long to be released. Thanks for your response!
AOKP actually has this right now (Which means CM9 Alpha 5 does too)

Density under JB ?

Hi I've got a problem with JB roms : I can't change LCD res whatever the ROM I use. If I change the build.prop file it won't boot. Any idea ?

I too have this same problem. I have tried Bruce's CM10, Frankenstine's AOKP and the new AOSP (from Cile?) I prefer setting density to 200, but when I reboot in some cases I get no bootanimation at all (and the phone never seems to boot at all), or if I can get the phone to boot (using AOKP's built-in density changer), half of my apps are no longer compatible (despite following the recommended steps to resolve this). Note that for AOSP/CM10 ROMs I use LCD Density Modder Pro, which results in the phone not booting at all.
Has anyone been able to reliably resolve this?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] need help plz

I updated to android 4.0..and this update make my xperia neo v ver slow...evry application take more time to open and even some time it crash.camra, messging all take more time to open..it is dam very slow....even phone dialer take more time to open.
Ok....a few more details, please?
The million dollar question is, did you wipe the cache/dalvik cache before you flashed? Many roms overwrite the system and boot files, but only some devs bake the Superwipe into their roms when flashing. This is good and bad in its own way.

first i get my xperia about month age it was had Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) and i wanted to updated to Android 4.0,i did it by Sony PC Companion but this update make my xperia slow...application take more time to open and even some time it crash.camra, messging all take more time to open..so searched on google and come to this forum and install more than ROM as Jelly sandwich 6.1 i like this rom but my mp4 video not play .....and this rom Xperia ICS & JB Remix my xperia still restart many times and nothing happen
so plesa tell me what can i do and install best rom for Xperia neo V ?
Please do understand that ICS demands more processing power, especially visually. I have an Evo 4g which is a monster on just about any GB rom, but not so much on ICS. I tend to notice the little things, like the FPS while switching screens, slight delays when scrolling up and down a page with a lot of text, etc.
In other words, you might have to accept that your phone might not do as well with ICS of JB.

As far as your broken videos go, you have to read the info that the developer posted about what works and what doesn't. If videos are listed as working, contact the dev. Or, you can also download Mobo Player from the Play Store send download a codec original asked you too. That should solve your videos problem. If not, try to download and flash your rom again.
Going back to GB (Android 2.3.x ).is a decision you will have to make for yourself. Don't be afraid to try different roms. You never know what gold you might find.

[REQ] Custom Boot Animation Sequence

Hello,
I'm a big fan of BioShock and what catches my attention and interest more is the art and the SFX and the animations of the game.
As you may know BioShock Infinite came this year and made a huge impact with going back to the roots....Needless to say, the starting animation and sound caught my interest like never before.
Thought it would make a great boot up sequence for a cellphone, so requesting anyone out there to kindly make this:

Into a boot sequence along with sound
Thank You very much, I'm sure others would love it too.
Regards.
EDIT: AAAAAAAAAAND please move it to the Q&A forum

What ROM do you use? I can make it and should have it done by Wednesday depending on my schedule. Also I may have to make a part to repeat and might make a shutdown animation of it as well, it will just take some more time.

I'm using Phoneix's ROM which is based on Stock ROM with Philz Touch recovery, I have an Octa-Core S4 (GT-I9500) so pretty much everything is stock atm.

Note 3: Jellybean or Kitkat?

Hi guys,
Just asking, do y'all prefer the Note 3 JB or KK looks? I prefer JB but can't downgrade
Honestly, KitKat was worth the plunge. The biggest reason I waited to upgrade was compatibility with certain apps like wanam xposed and they're all caught up. KitKat will, as of now, provide better battery life and increased performance. I stayed jellybean for about 2 months...and that was a month too long lol. KitKat is great imo, but really Android L shall be the real game changer. Personally, I've noticed specifically faster boot times, load times, and less scroll stuttering on KitKat. Then again, it all depends on if you're using a custom Rom too. Some jellybean roms blow some KitKat roms outta the park! But as a general rule...newer will = better
The only visual difference to me is the color of icons in status bar. From yellow to gray. Its not too big change Id say.

I stayed on 4.3 and I do not regret it (not for looks but for stability and since I had on 4.3 everything I wanted).
I will seriously consider jumping to Lollipop at some point when that is stabilized but I don't know if I will do it without xposed and some of the other things that I have now. We'll see
you can downgrade using mobile odin as it does not touch bootloader.
u can also downgrade using custom 4.3 rom zip flashing via custom recovery.

have you tried it? with a n9005?
I preferred JB, but I don't mind the KitKat version I'm on now so much.
Definitely NOT updating until it's Lollipop, since the newer versions break the SD workaround most apps use. (I haven't bothered to root, haven't needed it yet.)
I do miss the coloured icons in the notif bar. Call it nitpicking, but there it is.
And I don't like how the HTMLreader crashes after every 4 files. It never did that on 4.3...

Jelly bean all the way.
KK is much more buggy than JB. I used to get better battery life using JB. Its true that KK requires lesser ram but we have 3GB to spare (spoiled child)
