Density under JB ? - HTC Sensation

Hi I've got a problem with JB roms : I can't change LCD res whatever the ROM I use. If I change the build.prop file it won't boot. Any idea ?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using Tapatalk

I too have this same problem. I have tried Bruce's CM10, Frankenstine's AOKP and the new AOSP (from Cile?) I prefer setting density to 200, but when I reboot in some cases I get no bootanimation at all (and the phone never seems to boot at all), or if I can get the phone to boot (using AOKP's built-in density changer), half of my apps are no longer compatible (despite following the recommended steps to resolve this). Note that for AOSP/CM10 ROMs I use LCD Density Modder Pro, which results in the phone not booting at all.
Has anyone been able to reliably resolve this?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] HTC Desire HD ROMs

Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere, I am new to xda and haven't really looked around the website yet, but I look forward too doing so.
I recently rolled back my software from version 1.72 (the dreaded version, which all DHD users know causes root to be impossible) to 1.32 and then permanently rooted it again and turned S-OFF (I used this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905003 - Thanks to the person who made this!)
but getting to the main point, now I have got beloved root back, is there somewhere I can get a list of the ROMs available for my phone? Can you recommend any, I had a lot of experience with Cyanogen-mod on my G1 (currently running an unofficial CM7 2.3 ((Very Slowly)) but I want to try something else possibly? so What's available? and What do you recommend?
Thanks in advance.
ROM's for DHD: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=765
Recommend... try Android Revolution HD 2.0.13 (14)
Tried arhd and leedriod n have stuck with the later as its better on battery usage imho

If you find a rom you like you could always just use something like cpu tunner or set cpu to lower cpu freq when your screen is locked and such. that would help with your battery problems and allow you to enjoy your fav roms

[Q] Fallout Evolution V4.4.0 ROM

does this rom has simplified Chinese locale and AOSP screen locker?
I'm not able to install it with htddev unlock with hboot 2.0002.
I manually flashed the boot.img. but it goes into recovery mode when power on.
any ideas?
Yeah - start reading the FAQs and other threads before asking the same question that a thousand other people have already asked.
thanks for the reminder. I will look into other threads. hope to find the answers.

Hello all, I installed Fallout 440 this morning (was using miui GB), but I noticed that my phone gets a bit hot after using it for a while. Is that expected being beta? Should I lower cpu speed? I own setcpu but don't use it currently.

How long were u on ur phone? How hot is hot? It is normal for the phone to get hot either by the battery or the screen when on. Either way i dun think it should be an issue. if you are worried and have sleepless nights then setcpu to the reasonable rate 300 -1100.
sometimes, after a call, my phone restart. i like android 4, but this bug is not acceptable for daily use...
where do I switch the connect ways when I connect with computer with usb? I did not find the option in the pull down list as I did with sense 3/Android 2.3?
only quick settings in the pull down list.
another 2 questions,
1. where to set the GMS only/WCDMA preferred..... options, usually in the network setting, now I can only set it in *#*#4636#*#*.
2. how to separately set the volume for ringtone and notify? they are put together in this rom.
thanks in advance.

fallout or icecreamsandwitch?
fallout works like a charm for me non single crush ICS roms are not so stable and crush at full load like gaming or when generating picture prev and also camera is far better in fallout, in ics it is not even stable to tell
fallout is awesome....fast, stable, smooth, and there is more the BATTERY life is superb...
just waiting for Fallout tweaks to be like Leedroid Tweaks.!!!! and lock screens 2!!!

[Q] Rear Camera Not Working -Any ideas?

Hello there, i am having some interesting issues with my att xl.
Stock ICS ROM rear camera works perfect.
Any custom JB sense rom, rear camera doesn't work.
Liquidsmooth cm 10.1 JB rom rear camera works perfect.
stock JB 3.18 att rom, rear camera doesn't work.
Before anyone gets all froggy, yes i read this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1911847&page=3 and it doesn't really pertain to my situation as I am able to get my camera working on different roms.
It seems as though it may be a driver issue, so i tried copying the camera libs from the working cm 10.1 rom into the appropriate folders on both the custom and stock sense jb roms but i just get stuck at boot screen and have to reflash.
Any help will....help... maybe i didnt grab all the files or something.
Thanks ahead of time.
Anyone with any ideas what so ever? Ill try anything at this point.
try to check the md5 of the download jb files and the ones mentioned in the OP and do not try using cm 10.1 libs on sense roms its different , else did u try wiping cache of ur camera and see .. just try some other sense JB Rom and see if u get the same error !
S-on? Did you remember to flash boot.img for every ROM?

I have tried both cwm and twrp. And have also tried flashing the boot.img.
I think what I will have to try next is reflashing back to ics then starting over...this sucks, it must be a different camera on my particular device...it is a refurbished unit they gave me. Thanks for all the ideas so far, and any more are welcomed.
Ok, I completely re-ruu 'ed... If that makes any sense, to the newest cingular evita rom.. . And... Same exact problem, front camera works, rear doesn't. So my question now is, can I get the camera libs from an ics rom and throw them into the jb rom ? It looks like that will have to be my next venture. This blows

[MOD] Auto Brightness Patch - add battery life to HTC ONE

Auto Brightness Patch for improved battery life
HTC has coded fairly generous Auto Brightness values into their framework, which is just great for many users. Nevertheless there are those, who always try to get more precious battery juice to improve screen on time. Looking in battery stats we all know, that screen is consuming by far the most battery. I analyzed the framework code and decreased the LCD values depending on the level between 15% and 20%. The new values are still fairly bright, but will have a decent impact on your battery life. Since the display consumes about 2/3 of battery especially during browsing sessions or gaming, this mod can add up to 10% of battery life to your device, depending on your usage pattern (especially while browsing). I also added a "back to stock" zip, which helps you to return to previous state without any issues. A Nandroid is nevertheless strongly recommended before you flash this mod. Please be aware, that this can only save battery, if you activate Auto Brightness.
Note: PLEASE don`t ask for screenshots
What do you need?
Unlocked and rooted device
Tested on Stock ROM - this mod should also work on deodexed Custom ROM´s based on 1.27 (most probably also on 1.28)
How to flash:
Download the update.zip and copy on your SD
Boot in recovery and flash
1.28 coming soon...
Credits for APM: Dunc
DEODEXED 1.28 ROM
Download Autobrightness Mod incl APM
Download back to stock 1.28 framework
ODEXED Stock 1.27 ROM
Download Auto Brightness Mod for 1.27 odexed framework
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390355257214632334
Download back to stock 1.27 framework
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390355257214632333
Note: If you flash this on 1.28 or later, please pull framework-res from your current ROM and drag in framework folder of this zip, which will then be your back to stock. Alternatively make a nandroid beofre you flash.

Nice to see you here. Do you have the One already, or still waiting? Would you be a part of the Viper team?
I already have the ONE, I will be part of Viper team one way or the other, but not sure yet who will be the lead devs. Anyway - Viper Sense 5 is still months away. So stay tuned and you`ll soon see another ROM popping up here in the dev section
Will there only be a Auto Brightness Patch with APM included for 1.28 ROMs or will there still be a standalone Auto Brightness Patch?
Nice work though mate! The 1.27 version is just running fine on 1.28 for now.

I already have AB plus APM in TrickDroid Tweaks. It you use TD, you can flash it from there. Standalone will certainly follow.

Is there a way to tell if this is working?
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
After a few days of use I could tell this works great! On stock, in doors especially, I would notice that the screen was way too bright. Much better with this mod. Thanks!
Am in vacation till next week, but might add support also for stock.
Regarding question whether it helps:
There are many Vodoo tactics to save battery out there, but this one really works.
Reason is very simple:
Most users like Autobrightness
Display eats by far the most battery (just look in settings...)
Reducing the brightness level has a real impact on battery life, just compared to reducing brightness on your laptop.
So I simply reduce the levels on all sensor steps (except the highest, which ticks in when you are in bright sunlight).

It does not crash because your Rom is Deodexed, it crashes because it was based on a non APM framework. After my vacation I might add AB incl APM, but you find all this already in my Tweaks package for TrickDroid. So if you want many mods, I recommend having a look there.
