About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub. and on our Gerrit CarbonDev Gerrit.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
Who is Team Carbon?

Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

In over a month a lot of features.
You may/may not need to format the usual places.

I seen an article saying delta updates only applies the changes of a new nightly(I never used this). Does this mean that I can go into settings and do my thing, without having to wipe or flash anything?

Basically, it diffs the updates and a button will pop up.
You click that button and it will download a 20~ mb file to update with. It will then automatically boot into recovery and flash it and boot back. Pretty straightforward. Makes it easier for updates.

Funny.
I'm still using my Blaze. I've got a second one that I installed another ROM on during the hiatus. I'm happy to see Carbon back and better (with the updater app and diffs). One question - what bugs remain? speakerphone? camera preview? scanner apps? I know there are *some* apps that can be used despite these bugs (a better camera, qr droid) but curious about the old bug status. Thanks!

Why bother posting it in developer section if it's the same as the nightly except for the fact that you are compiling it yourself?

I am not sure if I am posting in the right place. I hope so. I thought guys we can take the advantage here to post our requests only for team EOS ics rom features that we all want and desire the great team to add for us as they do the highly appreciated efforts to dedicate their precious time developing for us.
Here we don't discuss the changes. We only post our requests for the new features we would love to see on motorola xoom devices so we can keep one place for the team to see ideas and suggestions.
Allow me to start with this feature request. I would love to see the boot animation dynamically changes in the sense that we get to choose our boot screens and animations by selecting the image we like.
Any other valuable suggestions and requests?

I've been using cm9 of late, purely because I love the idea of the theme engine. If Team EOS could incorporate the cm9 theme engine into their rom I'd happily switch back to theirs.

Noticed something. When goomanager tells you there is a rom update available, and you click to download, bit for a reason you click the back button while being in goomanager app, the download freezes. Hope this can be fixed...

I have zero experience building roms but i have recently switched from an Infuse 4G running the Beanstalk rom from scott.hart.bti. The rom has amazing customizations and too many features to list. It is based on CM10.1. I was hoping maybe somebody could help me port it over to the skyrocket. The beanstalk thread does have instructions for porting to other devices but having zero experience in doing so i thought i should ask for some help and see what other people are willing to do on this as well. I did read through that i just wasn't sure if i should post this here or in that thread. I was sort of hoping that somebody who knows how to do this stuff might try to build it as i cant even attempt to start for about a month as i am in the process of moving across the country. Figured if maybe people saw how many options there are in this rom it might spark some interest and get some more variety of roms to choose from (not that the roms available aren't already awesome )

I did notice, I just didn't think you'd appreciate someone else doing your job for you.
Lets keep on topic here ... if the mods want to move this, that's up to them.
And speaking of on topic, build is just about done. Had to restart it twice for a couple minor things that I messed up with the device specific inclusions. The vast majority of packages built just fine though, so it should be too much longer.
I also elected to build it with the Marla kernel, not the stock CM10.1 kernel.

Yes, finally!!
When should we start to see the KK nightlies for our device?
It's common (standard?) for KK ROMs on our device to have a problem related to data where APNs don't show up, baseband, etc. Refer to this thread for the fix! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2551748
I would consider putting this in the OP, by the way and thank you for the ROM.

I've never had this issue. It may just be that they are using an old recovery. I have been flashing KK roms with TWRP 2.6.3.1 and I've never lost data or APN

LOL, well there is the port made by @Mod57 over at the old Carbon thread, you could give that a try. I flashed it and it boot and worked pretty much flawlessly, only issue is that I had a random reboot all of a sudden.
Also if you look at Note 2's signature, he has a T-Mo Note 2, and there is currently a nightly for that device. It's just our version t0lteatt that is missing the nightlies.
I love the smell of carbon in the morning...g

1. I didn't do anything special, just make sure you are running a recent recovery like TWRP 2.6.3.1. Also I recommend you wipe everything, including the internal SD.
2. There are a few threads that give alternatives to TW S-Pen apps. I rarely use the S-Pen but I've used Papyrus and it is really good.

Ok so I try to install carbon. When I installed it I lost my home button. Did everything I always do. Then wiped the rom and installed my original rom and the home button still will not work. Any ideas? I then went and wiped again and try to install carbon again and the screen would not work. I could see the notification panal but could not see anything else

Liquid Smooth 4.2.2 v2.8 was a daily driver with nearly zero faults (ir blaster wasn't working, but I didn't try any other kernels) on S4.
LS 4.4.2 was fairly buggy a month ago or so, just like any other 4.4.2 aosp rom (since most of them are based on CM anyway.)
Did they ever get to squash all of the bugs in the LS 4.4.2?

I'm testing a build from a few days ago and it's really solid. Latest build is fully functional minus the camera, which I believe isn't because of an issue, but because data took priority over camera as is to be expected, and is being addressed as we speak.
I can assure you they're hard at work constantly, but I'm not at liberty to provide an ETA for an initial stable build, so please don't ask. All I can say is that progress is faster than I anticipated, and AOSP, let alone LS is amazing on this device. Anything else, I'll say what I can so they can focus on developing further.
Has anyone tested the 4/16 Nightly?
EDIT: I tried to flash with TWRP 2.7.0.2 and get a Updater Script error, is it only working on CWM?
Can anyone answer my above question?
