Dunno mate. I have to zoom out and back in. It's only on XDA that I notice it though I don't do much other web browsing.

Nice grave dig.
It's a problem with Google. They'll likely fix it in a future update. I see it in a lot of websites.
The best fix for all chromes issues is another browser.
Sent from my N5, N7, Moto X, G Tab 3 or S2.....
Generally I think chrome on android is a very good browser, but for this site and others, I tend to prefer Firefox.
I use Firefox I switched because of this problem

Problem gone! Thanks Google!

If I am logged into the app, I can view forums and threads, but when I try to open a thread I get a force close. If I am not logged I have no problems.
Is this a known issue for the G Tab?
Maybe someone will chime in with a fix or solution but I too was having issues of FC's. I have since just used the browser. I did download the XDA app from the market place.
Yup, same here, FC's all the time.
same here.

I am having the same issues as well, hopefully someone will fix this app <please> because the favorites tab is soooo convenient.
Any idea whats going on with the XDA app and the Force Close on the G Tab? I am running TnTLite 4.2.1 ..
Thanks
The XDA app hasen't worked since day one! The best ways see XDA are the browser ( recomend Dolphin HD; you can open links in new tabs and also create bookmarks in an XDA folder ) or TapATalk app.

Same issue running TnT Lite 4.2.2
Same issue here, doesn't matter which ROM as I've tried it on both TnT Lite and Vegan.
I've tried everything in the sense of clearing user data, cache, wiping everything known to man.
It seems to be a TapaTalk program issue as I tried the androidtablets.net app and it would constantly FC as well.
Has anyone figured out how to stop the xda app from force closing whenever you try to open a thread? It only happens on my gtab, so I use the web browser version to post. Like I am now
most have given up on it and use the Tapatalk app instead, haven't heard of a fix for it.

+1 on that. I posted the same question about a month ago not even knowing tapatalk existed. Good way to go
What is tapatalk? Is it an android market app?
The problem is landscape mode!!!!
I was having the FCs and then had a thought: what if I run the app in portrait mode. I tried and it seems to work without FCs. Added multiple favorites, read forums and articles.
EDIT: OK, opening articles is now giving FCs. Sigh....

Yes. The xda app is a subset of Tapatalk, which can be used for xda and other discussion boards as well.
MOtly works in portrait
After more use I am finding that portrait mode seems to work for reading. Just read about 20 articles from 3 gtablet forums without an FC. Before I had FCs all the time. Just leave the app in portrait. I was also NOT logged in. WIll try logged in and see if there is a difference.

I noticed the fc only happen when I was logged in, but that's still crappy o I switched as you can see.

Gonna Try it now, lol. I never thought about portrait mode.
**Didnt work, still getting the F C
Great for reading. Pretty much crashes as soon as I sign in though.
It seems to be signing in
OK, if I don't signin I can run the app and browser threads and the like. When I signin I get FCs pretty quickly. Can others try to use without signing in and see what behavior you get.

Has anyone else noticed how xtremely slow this forum is on the transformer? Navigating the pages and even typing this out is very frustrating. I thought it was flash but I uninstalled it and it is still very bad. Any help or info is appreciated. The default keyboard helps a little bit, but typing is very laggy as well.

I'm not experiencing this via the browser. Also, you may want to buy Tapatalk

So far this website really seems to be the only one I have problems with using the stock browser, or even some of the other browsers.
I did find that Opera Mobile seems to work very well with XDA though.

I'm having the EXACT same problem and only with XDA Dev's site. I got so frustrated that I wiped my Transformer thinking it might have been an issue with the ROM. Still same issue. Really don't want to use Tapatalk on a damn tablet but what can I do... At least I know I'm not alone.
Also, I did update Flas to 10.2 not sure it is related.
Yeah the app is so slow. I think its the app tho, whats tapatalk

It IS really rotten using the default browser. Firefox is a bit better. The worst part is getting that ">" new postings link large enough to click on it. In Firefox, there is an additional new postings link that is still hard to click but larger. Hopefully as tablets become more common, sites will make some accommodation.

This forum always gives people issues..
But it has a relatively easy fix.
Scroll all the way to the bottom right and then change XDA 2010 to XDA classic. All your problems should vanish!
I'm having the same issue on my Acer a500. I was getting ready to return it and wait for a transformer. I guess its just xda developers site. Thanks.

Strange this site works fine on the iPad it seems rather basic?

It appears to be the Flash ads that are driving it crazy, so no problem with those on the iPad heh. The TF tries to render all of them, and although they do work they are very slow.
You would think that without flash installed, it wouldn't try to render them, but it appears to get stuck on them for some reason. It doesn't make a difference with or without flash, still unbearably slow. Can we pay $5 a month to get the flash ads turned off? LOL...

I love this site & I would pay to get rid of all ads to make my browsing faster on my TF101. I'll have to try the classic mode which was mentioned in a few post earlier when I get home from work.
The xoom had the same issue and switching to classic worked for a while until they updated the xda premium app. Not sure if the xda premium app will work for the tf but I would try that.
Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
Not sure it's the Flash ads. I have the browser set to only load Flash on demand, so the Flash ads are not shown. And it it's still extremely laggy.
I just tried switching to "XDA Classic", that fixed it. Ugly as hell, but it works now.
Anyone else getting two "Like" numbers one on top of the other?
Yep, Facebook app has been wonky lately. More than usual, that is.
Yes I see that also. Timeline has never worked either (even on the Prime). All I see when I go to someone's page is either their wall, or information, and cannot see / switch to anything else.
By the way, that looks -really- good, is it a hamburger?
I have never once used the facebook app and thought "wow this is well thought out and very intuitive"
Honestly, Facebook has a rather good mobile site. Whats wrong with just running facebook on the web browser?
Friendcaster works really well on the tablet in terms of interface and speed. The default facebook app is just bad.
I just use chrome to access facebook, because of all the comments people have been posting about the app in the play store. But it's still kinda doubling some information.
Boat browser or others have some glitch. Chrome is perfect for Facebook. Thanks!

I got 360x592, Doesn't seem to be optimized for mobile devices, because on my computer it was correct.
Every web browser using Webkit have their resolution divided by 2, I don't know why, just that it's like that.
Habit browser, Naked browser and many others don't have this problem.
Hmm.. Let me naked browser
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Can't install naked browser... Habit browser still says same thing...
Even at 479x816 resolution, still doesn't come to proper screen size times 2... Hmm... Maybe I should try it on stock ROM?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
If you know the resolution anyway, is it really important to get a web site to report the resolution?

Ah ok, I see.
With dolphin it comes out properly, at least the width. Navigation and statusbar may reduce the height result.
