Automatically Lock Settings - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I think my issue is due to the device policy set from work so I can get my company email. I would like to know what file to edit to unset the "Immediately" setting under the Automatically Lock settings. As you see in the attachment I only get one choice. It was unset by default when I installed PA. I checked it to see what result it would have. I liked it better the other way but I cannot change it through the GUI.

Ask your IT department about their policy. If its policy, editing files isn't going to help as the policy will continually overwrite it

The setting was by default not selected. The issue is getting back to that state after I selected it. The device policy only limits the selections.

Well on my stock rom, my settings appear to be in /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/settings.db/secure

There is an Xposed mod called Exchange Security Bypass. It might be what you're looking for. I haven't tried it so I don't know for sure, but it's worth looking into.

I'm guessing this is a dpi/screen size issue. Our screens are more of a 16:9 view (not sure if that's exact, just saying it seems that way). Personally, that's one of the only things I don't like about the phone. I miss the wider screen on my HD2, same as the Desire HD. Maybe that has something to do with it? Try playing with DPI settings, or use Spare Parts and check/uncheck compatibility mode, that used to fix screen app screen issues on the HD2. It doesn't bother me that much so I'm not gonna mess with it too much, but you can :highfive:

[App][Customization][2.2+]Wallpaper Of The Day Beta

Hey guys,
I hated to look at the same wallpaper over and over again, so I wrote a quick app to automaticly download Bing and Flickr images and set them as wallpapers, what started as a private project soon became a little bigger .
So I want to share it with you, maybe give it a try.

The App trys to download an set automaticly when turning your device on and at 00:02 am.
I need some feedback
It does not work. I set it to enabled then nothing happens. The wallpaper is what I set before.
Edit: works great (I just had to wait a little bit)

Yeah, I designed it to be as much in the background as possible, but for the users who want to know when something is happening I included the option to show a notification.
I made a view bugfixes...

[Q] Missing Apps After Updating to OS 4.2.2

I recently updated my HOX to 4.2.2 from 4.1.1.
FYI- I'm not rooted.
So, I had an app called "Car" in a folder before updating my OS. It came stock on my phone.
Sometime after the update, I removed it from my launch bar, thinking that I'd be able to find it again.
But I can't.
I know it's somewhere on my phone - because when I go to Settings: Apps: All, it's there.
But when I look at the apps in "On Phone Storage" and elsewhere, I can't find it.
Any ideas? It's missing, but yet it isn't. Where can I find the app to access it?
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried rebooting?

Yup. And I know the app works since I've used it since the update.
But ever since removing it from my launch bar, it just seems lost in the ether...
Frustrating and confusing...
So you removed it from the dock, where did you drag it to?
Sent from my Evita
I dragged it up to remove it from my homescreen as I would any other app. I know I didn't uninstall it as it would normally prompt me before an uninstall.
Here's a screenshot in Settings.

Check for update not available at this time ...

I have an unlocked boot loader, and am rooted. When I check for OTA updates I get this message. I don't think this should be the case. The error message pops up immediately, indicating that it's not even trying to contact the update server.

Could you say which one ? I've left the OTA Updates (or similar name) service enabled, most of the other Moto services I've disabled via Titanium, and I've got the same error. Guessing it needs another one to perform the checks.
Couldn't figure out which one. I disabled auto hibernate, did a rest and confirmed it was something I hibernated. No time yet to experiment and figure out which one. If you get a chance do post back here.

Security lock screen issue [SOLVED]

I usually use swipe to unlock for my phone. I turned on fingerprint today just to see if I could get use to it. Now I can't turn it off. Options to have no lock or standard swipe are not available to me anymore.

By any chance do u know which credential is causing the problem.... I was assuming clearing all these credentials are not safe.
I cleared what ever was there... to get the function working.
Normally, for me at least there is nothing there.
