[Q] Dell Venue 8 Pro - wwan card locked to O2 - General Questions and Answers

Dear all
Couldn't find a DV8P forum section as yet.
I have the wwan (3G/HSDPA) version of the DV8P (brilliant device) but Dell have locked it to o2 and I use ee.
Does anyone know how I can remove the carrier lock given that it is not tied to carrier contract. Dell have said they don't knowhow too and have never had a request before???
The wwan card is a sierra wireless card which is branded as the Dell Wireless 5570e HSPA+ (42Mbps) Mobile Broadband Card.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Matthew

Hi,
I don't have DVP8, but I'm a little bit familiar with how most laptops wireless card works. (The WWAN card used on Dell VP8 is the same one used on Precision/Latitude Laptop)
Typically those WWAN cards (Especially GSM with simcard slot) are not locked, but the provided windows software does not support provider other the one it's bundled to (in this case O2),
So are you sure if your card is really locked?
I'd try the Connection Manager program that comes with the Latitude series http://www.dell.com/support/drivers...leId=3336416242&languageCode=en&categoryId=CM. You might need to bypass the model check in order for it to install.
Side question, is the DVP8 WWAN card removable by user? I'm curious whether the Wifi model can be upgraded to 3g enabled.

Assuming that Dell doesn't have different hardware layouts for different countries... my US Wifi module can't be 3g enabled... or at least, not without some serious soldering skills.
You can see where the slot would be, if it was soldered on.
Also, I don't know for sure, but it looks like it might be an m.2 slot instead of the mini pcie standard. Or the WWAN module might be soldered directly onto the mainboard, although there seems to be a spot to for a screw to hold the module in, so...
Now if Dell would only release the WWAN US version tablet... feels like I've been waiting forever.

You might also want to try setting up a dial up connection using the correct settings for your ISP, if a connection manager for your cellular provider doesn't exist. As WhizzWr said, the only locks on laptop cards are usually software based, or maybe profile/firmware based (such as Gobi cards that support multiple networks with different profiles).

I see. So apart from the lack of sim card slot, no place to add any expansion card, either.
I just googled a bit and some rep from Dell forum seems to confirm our finding: Wifi model is not upgradeable to 3G/LTE.

That's too bad but considering the price difference between WIfi and 3G model, I'm okay with tethering

Thanks WhizzWR and Jackfrost7
It was a software thing.
It would only show telefonica as the available connection.
Uninstalled the driver and re-installed and it suddenly started showing an ee connection; took a few connection attempts before it seemed to work and now no more tethering!
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Glad you sorted it out!
Did you get the DVP8 direct from Dell UK? Mind giving us some price figure?

Yes - it was strange as I had been looking at it for ages on the 'for work' area but it had a lead time towards the end of March but suddenly dropped to 2 days so I went for it.
The price with no extras was:
Device £319
Shipping £5
VAT £64.80
Total £388.80
Not sure if the offer is still on at the moment it was when I ordered on the 24th Jan.

Ah thanks, I also have checked the Dell UK business website, the offer is still going on.
Aside from the fact I'm not in UK, I think extra £100 for WWAN card is a bit steep
So I planned to get a wifi only model soon.
But I also think DVP8 with always on internet is damn sweet.

I must admit the extra form the card is a little steep but having used tethering on my htc one for a couple of days till you helped me work out my issue drove me mad as it is nigh on impossible to cope with calls for work, tethering and general phone use without additional phone charges throughout the day.
It is a cost benefit question though.
It really is a brilliant tablet - was a little unsure about windows tablets, having memories of old atom netbook performance, but even have visual studio working on it not much slower than my i5 laptop.

Dual SIM card adaptor works in Pro ?

I'm considering one of these as my next device.
One main issue for me is being able to use 2 sim cards in 1 device.
Currently I'm using good quality cut type dual SIM adaptor, has worked well in all my devies so far !
Anyone using this style of adaptor & can comment on how well it fits into SIM slot ect & if SDK menu functions correctly.
Thanks,
Hi Mister B,
So you're using a good quality cut type right now?
Which one?
It's always a bit confusing because there are soooo many out there.
I used to have a HTC Kaiser (until it was stolen).
In that one I used a 15th gen cut card.
Got my touch pro last saturday and have tried the 15th, 16th and 20th gen.
16th works flawless!
Just pick one up on ebay.
Didn't put the cover on the card just inserted it with a bit of care. Fits nicely.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
BuDDaH
Update
Well.. I cheered to early.
With my usim I loose connection every now and then.
I've ordered a 23rd gen sim to see if that's any better.
I use the magicsim ones.
they are cheaper than thet Simore ones (http://www.simore.ch/en/)
Would be interesting to see more responses!
Cheers,
B
My Simore X2 Gold does not work on my FUZE, flashed with ROMeOS 1.21
i have dual sim, but noname works fine..
Didn't these cards drain the battery?
they used to do it in the past, right?
so guys, are you satisfied with your dual sim cards? No battery isues?
Which one do you recommend for a Touch Pro? which gen?
BuDDaH what doyou recommend 16th Gen or 23rd Gen?
I've only found in ebay 16th & 20th, not 23rd.
Where can i find 23rd gen?, do you have a link?
thanks
I'd like to know as well...
RE
Hi!
Anyone knows where to buy the 23th-A Magicsim dual-sim card adaptor? Can provide a link?
Thanks
Hi all,..
I'm using a dual sim adaptor from multi-mobile.eu on my TP. The problem I have that when I switch from one sim to another, I cannot sent a SMS. "Phone is not ready" is the message. even when I wait for a long time. When I soft reset my device the problem is gone...
I also have certain connection problems. It seems that cutting the SIM card has given me a lower signal reception...
And using the auto switch option isn't so great. the auto switching will also take place when having a phone call, so the connection then is lost. Very anoying...
Regards,
A.

i'd like to know also...
would both SIMs be active or just one at a time?
sorry but i didn't use ony of those adaptors, but it seems interesting!!
Can anyone of Dual Sim card users tell us if there are draining issues with the batteries?
i've heard in the past about issues wth the bateries when using dual sim cards but it maybe was with older generations?
Can anybody confirm it?
please share your experiences with us.
thanks
Well...
The link to the store where I got my 23rd sim is http://www.dual-sim.nl/
Info on the Magic Sim's can be found here http://www.magicsim.com/
Got mine today and........ NO GO!! Read somewhere that this one should not drain your battery as much.
I also had a 3rd gen card laying around and that one works very well. NO stk or 007 mode but the phone power toggle.
Bit strange that I can't seem to get the 16th gen working anymore.
Updated my radio to 1.02.25.28.
forgot who asked but you can't have 2 sim cards active at the same time.
I just forward the calls from 1 number to the other using a short dial assignment.

Premium version:
- No impact on battery power
lets keep sharing our findings!
thanks BuDDaH, thanks for the valuable Info you have provided us.
Only one thing, I guess that the Premium you have bought dual-sim-adapter.com is a "CUT" version, right?
Do you think is better Dual Sims "CUT" than Dual Sims "NO CUT" versions?
I know that the dual-sim-adapter.com "No CUT" version is only for GSM Networks, it doesn't support UMTS Networks so this would be a good reason to stay in the "CUT" side, right?
Instead, the MagicSim dual-sim.eu "NO CUT" says it works too in UMTS Networks. But the Magic-Sim says "No excessive energy use" instead dual-sim-adapter.com PREMIUM syas "No impact on battery power".

dual-sim-adapter.com "NO CUT"
€14.99 / ONLY GSM / "No impact on battery power"

MagicSIM dual-sim.eu "NO CUT"
€19 / 3G-USIM Compatible / No excessive energy use.

MagicSIM dual-sim.eu "CUT"
€18,95 / 3G-USIM Compatible / No excessive energy use.

Well... actually I didn't buy the Premium one from http://www.dual-sim-adapter.com/era_en.html
just added that link because of the power drain question that someone posted earlier.
Strange thing is that I used the 16th gen for a while that worked fine but suddenly stopped working all together (after having experimented a bit with other ones).
Still works fine in a 'normal' gsm.
I have used the no cut versions in the past in other smartphones (magician I think and artemis) but that was a real hassle. no room! there were people peeling of parts of their battery to make room.....
Had 3 g working on the 16th gen cut without a problem (worked for about 3 days)
Now I'm back to my 3rd gen cut solution that's an 'analog' one. Powertoggle the phone and you're switched.
This one works perfectly with 3g and my usim.
Concerning the extra power.. over the weekend I might do a little test with the battery status app and see what the increased power drain is.
All in all I guess we found a nice little market niche!
A dual sim adapter that works in the Raphael... did a search on the forum yesterday and there are similar threads for a lot of other HTC devices.
I did invest in a sim card cutting tool. Since I'm using a company sim I didn't want to screw it up.
(and first did a test run with some pre paid sims).
RE
Hi BuDDaH
So it's confirmed that you can't have 2 Sims active at the same time i.e. no 2 antennas or 2 numbers shown?
Secondly, it's also true that if 'X' Sim is active and if you want to use 'Y' Sim then you need to do a soft reset. Does that mean to say you cannot receive call for 'Y' Sim if 'X' Sim is active? I thought the 2nd Sim is on standby and switchover use is by selecting it?
If the answers are 'Yes' then is there any software that allows auto-switchover without the need for a soft reset in order to active the second Sim?
Do you require to have a special battery cover or any modification done in order to accomodate the dual-sim adaptor?
Thanks
Along with all the questions asked by FOSA, can I also ask if any one knows a place in london who does them?

Hi!
It's not possible to have 2 sims active at the same time. You would need 2 GSM radio's on board and the Touch Pro just doesn't have that!
With the 'analog' dual sim card that I'm using at the moment you don't have to do a soft reset. Just toggle the gsm radio! I know that someone wrote a little utility to do this with just 1 click. Is on the forum somewhere.
If 'X' is active that means 'Y' is not active. you can't receive calls on this card BUT nothing is holding you back to forward calls from Y to X before toggling! that's what I'm doing.
with the 'CUT' cards you don't need modifications to battery or phone cover.
Read that the 'older' analog cards don't consume extra power.
The newer digital cards can switchover automatically, you don't have to toggle the GSM radio and you have an extra menu on your phone. But there are issues with the digital models and WM pda phones.
AND SINCE ALL THE NEW SIMS ARE DIGITAL, IT ONLY MEANS THAT WE MIGHT NOT HAVE THIS THING WORKING... right???
Any more info on this???

As far as I know sims have always been digital!
When talking about 'analog' with the dual sim adapters it's a reference to the switching technology used.
So..... I've got it working without problems. 3G / USIM works as well.
Pretty happy with it!

Why not 3g Tmobile download, at least?

I have an x7510 and have used it successfully with a Telcel (Mexico) 3g sim card down there, though since Mexico isn't in the Connections country presets, I had to use web-provided parameters. I suspected that I wasn't on quite the same network as when I put the Telcel sim into the purchased ZTE626 usb 3g aircard and everything was automatic, and a dealer tech guy there agreed, but who knows. (By the way, if you're vacationing in Mexico and want economical 3g, look up the Internet Amigo plan on the Telcel web site. It's 1, 3, 7, 15 and 30 days blocks of time, not annual subscription. Perfect for tourists. The Customer Service places typically have the old brochures lying around, so print the current pricing off the web before you go. They do all this for USB or Express cards, and for smartphones of all types.)
SO, here I am in the USA again, and for kicks, I took the X7510 into my Tmo dealer and they reassigned me a newer sim (the difference? she said it was 3g capable) and we put it in the X7510 and tried it. I couldn't believe they were willing to try it. And of course, using the Connections automatic setting, I got Edge. However, I couldn't help wondering about some things:
1. Why can't I get downloading on 2100 3g, just downloading? Is it because the upload handshaking etc can't switch to Edge?
2. Is it true that if I had a Tmo 3g phone, such as the 3g Dash, this 'no difference but it's newer and has 3g on it' (which they let me keep, I should add) my data plan (el cheapo grandfathered 20$ for unlimited incl hotspots) would now do Tmo 3g? I actually asked her about this and she indicated the 3g aspect of this or that data plan is not more costly.
3. When looking at the automatically configured Tmo Connections settings, the setting for type of connection had very little available, just CellularGPRS&3G. When I'd been working with the Telcel sim, all sorts of combinations of frequencies popped up. The preset still says wap.voicestream.com. Is there another group of Manual settings I could use to get my half 3g on the X7510?
4. Perhaps the most interesting, since the X7510 has USB host capability, is there a way to use my 4in1 cable, a Tmo USB aircard and my new Tmo 3g sim to make the X7510 recognize and use the USB card? I do like the X7510 for its huge screen...
Thanks to anyone who will help, or who finds the Telcel info useful.

[Q] 3g?

Anyone seen anything about eta on 3g enabled transformers?
Decided on getting one quite a while ago, but I need a enabled 3g tablet.
Initially it was supposed to come out around 1-3 months after wifi (April 6) and be everywhere around June/July.
Also, 3g will only be for the 64gb model and cost $699 in USA and 699 euros in Europe.
I hope they release it by late June at least , in India :S
Didn't know it was only the 64gb version getting 3g :/, that really sucks. I was hoping for a 32gb version.
But I don't see many alternatives to the transformer I want either. If another one came out that was both price competetive, comparable in hardware, and had honeycomb, I'd consider it. But right now the only 3g tablet being sold and easily accessable to me in norway is the xoom. And that seems far too expensive, for something not that spectacular. :/
Whats wrong with the wifi model and tethering to a smartphone when you want internet access, away from your home network?
I can use the same setup to my laptop, and it's an extra step. I've noticed it reduces the amount of times I check something on the laptop, because it's an extra thing to do.
"Just checking something" is a lot more work when I need to pull up the phone, go through 2-3 menu's. Pull up and refresh the wireless until the androidap shows up, connect. And then I'm ready to go.

[Q] WIFI or 3G? 16 or 32GB? (tips for model choice)

I've already decided to buy the GN 10.1 (as my first tablet) long ago as I think the pen ability will be very useful for my productivity.
Now that, after a long waiting, it's finally (almost) available for purchase I must choose the right model for me.
My dilemma is:
1) WIFI only or WIFI+3G?
I don't plan to use the tablet as a phone. I've my wifi at home and there will be shortly a wifi connection available in my school.
But what if I'm traveling around, in some place with no WIFI and I need a map or getting some info from the internet? Will I regret not having 3G?
(BTW, does handwriting recognition need internet connection?)
In Europe (Italy) the 3G model will cost about €120 more than the equivalent WIFI only model (+22%).
Will it be worth it?
Alternatively: is it possible and how complicated is it to create a hotspot to connect the GN to my cell (Motorola Atrix) and use the cell data connection (in case of need)?
2) 16GB or 32GB?
I don't think I'll use the Note much for videos, so I think 16Gb (plus the SD Card) should be enough. But maybe some extra storage will come handy in the future...?
What would you advice for storing plenty of notes, pdf, books, office documents for a planned life-span of at least 2 years?
The 32GB model has an extra price of about €60 (+11%).
Thanks for any advice you can give
I went for the Wi-Fi version. If you go for the 3g version, you'll need an extra SIM card, which will cost more. If you have an android phone and a data plan, you can tether the 3g to your Wi-Fi tablet.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
If you have mobile internet on your Atrix, the best thing would be to tether that to a Wifi version its way cheaper -120€ - Extra sim with monthly costs.
I'm having issue's in choosing aswell my Galaxy S3 has 16gb internally and i cannot install apps on my micro sd, is it the same with the Note? If yes i will go for the 32gb if no 16gb will be enough with a 32gb micro sd.
Thanks.
I think you're right about WIFI vs WIFI+3G and I'm rather convinced now.
Furthermore I've just made a test with the Atrix working as a hotspot and connecting my old laptop to it and I've realized that it's rather simple to set it up and working.
You can even put a button on your home screen to do the work for you.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
It depends. I just ordered a 3G version/16GB.
* 16GB vs 32GB -- I think a 16GB model is perfectly useful, and the extra cost of the 32GB unit is not justified (you pay $50+ more for the extra 16GB, while you can get a 64GB microsd card for the same price). I could not find a legit 3G/32GB unit to buy anyway, so I ended up with 16GB. I use a 64GB microSD card, so this is really not an issue.
* WiFi vs 3G -- now that really depends on how you plan on using it, where you live, how easily you can get WiFi throughout the day. For me, it was a bit of a toss-up, and I do have a Verizon 4G MiFi I can use, so a WiFi version would make sense. However, I have a 2-year AT&T contract, with data (which I took to get the Samsung Galaxy SIII upgrade, which I am now replacing with the GN10.1), so I opted for 3G (otherwise I'd be paying AT&T for nothing).
Ultimately, here's my take:
- If you are price-concious, a 16GB/WiFi version would be perfectly useful.
- If you truly need constant data access, and plan on paying monthly for a phone company data plan (or already have one ), get the 16GB/3G version
- If you you have a lot of local media and don't mind spending an extra $50 on a measly 16GB increase, get the 32GB version
- If you want nothing but the mostest and the bestest , wait for the Samsung P10 tablet
If you can afford it get the 32GB or 64GB with cellular. Since the GN 10.1 is a perfect digital notepad, productivity and consumption device that you'll likely be carrying with you all the time it's convenient to have cellular built in not only for data connectivity but also for fielding calls (through speakerphone or bluetoth headset) while taking notes, doing work, researching materials/internet, etc. Eliminates the need for the extra phone.
Thanks meanvulcan
I'm making up my mind.
WiFi vs 3G > WiFi
I'll use my Atrix as an Hotspot in case I need data connection out of my WiFi covered areas.
I don't think is wise to pay an extra 20% for something I'll never probably use and have the trouble to buy another extra Sim Card too.
16GB vs 32G > 16GB
I think it's enough for my needs. Only doubt is (as Mafiatounes pointed out): is it possible to move apps to the SD Card?
Yes it is possible to move apps to SD card I believe that was a feature introduced in froyo.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Indeed and it works on almost all phones except the S3 does not have this option, can anyone owning a Note have a look?
Blasted from the Galaxy S3 with Tapatalk
I agree that the difference between 16GB vs. 32GB isn't a big deal with the ability to use a class 10 64GB MicroSD. I disagree about skipping 3G. And while I know I'm in the minority here's why I feel that way:
1) Tethering is a pain in the ass. Take out phone, activate Wi-Fi sharing, connect tablet, disconnect tablet, disable Wi-Fi sharing. Forget the last step and you're phone's battery is toast.
2) The Note has a 7,000mAh battery and my phone is 1800mAh. The phone powering the tablet is backwards. I don't want to have to worry about my phone battery dying in order to get my tablet online. And since the Note's also a phone I use it for long conference calls that would otherwise require me to have my phone connected to AC power to get through the call.
3) A 3G device is always on. E-mail and all the syncs are constantly updated. When I hit the power button I'm online and ready to go. On a Wi-Fi device you have to go through item number one above to get online and then wait for everything to update once it's connected before you can really use it.
My mail accounts are replicated on my phone and tablet. I can grab either to compose or respond to a message instantly. If it's short I'll use my phone, long I'll go for the tablet. If I had to do item number one every time I'd use my tablet a lot less and to me (YMMV) it's worth what I pay each month to AT&T for that convenience.

Convenience costs money so cellular is great if you can afford it otherwise tethering is fine. As far as phone battery on hotspot there's always an outlet nearby or possibly feeding off of the tablet via USB cable. I used to do that with my laptop but haven't tried if GN 10.1 supplies power through USB.
I'm also debating on the whole WiFi/3G thing. I currently have the WiFi version and plan on returning it for a 3G. I don't plan on adding the device to my plan though; I plan on just swapping my SIM with my phone when I need to and would like the convenience of having 3G and being able to make calls on my Note 10.1.
Is a SIM card required in the 3G one at all times? Can it be used without the SIM without any issues?

No, it works fine without a SIM. Who is your carrier? You can add it to an existing AT&T account with voice calling and (truly) unlimited data for either $20 or $25 a month with no commitment.
I would love to get the 32GB Wifi/3G version in white but since my carrier is Sprint, it wouldn't make sense for me to get the 3G version. I'll just connect the tablet to my Tri-Fi unit and be on either 3G, Wimax or LTE.
So the choice gets smaller to only having a wifi unit. But what sucks about that is that Samsung has only made the white version in either 16GB Wifi or 32GB with 3G. There isn't a 32GB wifi only model.
So that being the case, I am either left with having to buy a 16GB White Wifi model or a grey 32GB model if I wanted more internal space.
Can somebody confirm for me if apps can be moved to the sdcard. I thought I read that with ICS/JB that is no longer possible.
If so, then my only choice would be to get the 32GB Wifi version.
Edit: just noticed the other thread about apps to sd card.

Just put an NFC tag on the back of your tablet that configures a WiFi hotspot on your phone, and turn on WiFi (or leave it on all the time since the battery is massive) on your tablet.
The solution is as simple as touching your phone to your tablet.

I went for wifi 16GB:
Reasons for wifi:
1) I can just tether to my N7000
2) 3G units are "grey market" imports
3) Significantly more expensive
Reasons for only 16GB:
1) A 32GB SD card costs significantly less than adding 16GB of internal storage In fact, it looks like you could probably buy two 32GB cards for less than $50 looking on Amazon. The only time you may have issues is IF you play very large games - some of these have issues with moving their data to external storage.

Handwriting recognition does not need an internet connection, its fully internal and works wonderfully.
Well the impatient part of me could not hold out any longer and I got the white 16GB white version today. I am so loving it.

Which Android versions have tethering issues and must be avoided at all cost ?

Until about last year, I trusted Android...
Then my mum bought me a present, a cheap Allview P7 Pro. Phone was looking fine, it was supposed to be Dual Mode 4G (FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE), Dual Sim as my old Allview V1 Viper...
She bought it in Romania and managed to send it to me in UK. Unpacked, plugged in both sim cards (Romanian Digi and UK Three). Been negatively impressed of the new interface looks, those devs really like to completely change interface from build to build, but it was very white-ish and I am a night person...
Impossible tethering. At the time, if I remember well, P7 Pro had Lollipop running, though now gsmarena says it's Marshmallow.
The phone was actually creating the wireless connection, but it was no tethering on it, as I presumed it was actually trying to tether internet from the Digi sim (which was disabled) instead of the one from the Three sim (which was enabled). I couldn't believe my eyes, there was no way to get tethering to work.
Then I just unmounted the Digi card and left just the Three. Finally tethering was working. But hey, we use dual sim phones for a reason.
Anyway, I've seen there were problems with connection. Even deep in the night towards morning when finally Three was working in the remote Highlands... (One of our colleagues had a Utok 400D, and I still think about buying that as a modem, he was shaming us with his phone, his girlfriend streaming a movie and he playing a game on the same connection during daytime, which was impossible for everyone else, but gladly I'm no longer there).
So I tried to download a movie. After about 2-3 minutes of download, it was actually going to stop. Pretty funny, Internet Download Manager, which didn't ever have any problem, before, or after that night, was becoming blocked into a "Connecting"/"Sending GET..." endless loop. Stop & resume. Did that more than 100 times in about 3 hours. Downloaded the movie, however, but I was determined to get rid of the phone. Packed the sims back on my old Allview V1 Viper, which I still use today and managed to sell the brand new P7 Pro...
Now I'd like to buy a new phone, but I'm really scared.
I don't know what's out there, I don't know how much devs possibly screwed Android builds, I don't wanna end with a defective flagship because some mofos talked to some networks in order to screw users tethering.
I still don't have good wireless in this location, but Three works very well. Still, I need to know which Android versions are to be trusted at least on this aspect of tethering.

Then my mum bought me a present, a cheap Allview P7 Pro. Phone was looking fine, it was supposed to be Dual Mode 4G (FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE), Dual Sim as my old Allview V1 Viper...

I think that would be more of an issue of the network involved instead of the device or android version.
Tethering should not be a problem if you root the device though. There is usually a mod or an app of some sort that can be used to enable hotspot/tethering on pretty much every device.

Still, my old Viper V1 never had a problem to tether, it never needed root for that (I rooted it because I believed at some point the speeds were too low for that to be the network's fault, believed it to be a policy thing, but Three in Highlands is 2G basically).
I was 100% convinced it was a Lollipop bug, that some developer addressed a wrong object, trying to get the internet from a wrong sim. I could not swap the sims, cause they were different sizes, however it could tether when only the Three sim was physically inserted in the phone. Still, there was the other bug, connection not actually working after a few minutes.
I mean the surprise was too much. You don't expect that kinda issue with a brand new phone and a supposedly newer version of Android. (I remember when Ice Cream Sandwich came out, I couldn't even find the internet settings, in 5 minutes I was flashing back Gingerbread, but Gingerbread was working fine on my Galaxy S at the time). Hate those interface changes they dish out on every new version.
Still, my question is: are the new versions having the same Lollipop bug on dual sim phones ? Can I safely buy a new phone now ?
