[Q] Bluetooth headset problem - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all. I have an bluetooth headset nokia bh-212. It's old, but stll working good. So, i have been paired this with my Motorola Moto G XT1032 and Android 4.4.2 GB Stock on it. When i turn off display, i have every 60 sec. reconnect with my headset, it just lost signal and connect again. When moto g isn't inactive (display is turn on) - its good, no reconnects. Also, when i'm talking via headset there is also no problem.
How to fix it?

All yours bt headset working pretty good with moto g & android 4.4.2 ?

Hi Arsgb i have an older Sony Ericsson HBH-PV708 and it works just fine, the connection is stable. No problems wahtsoever. Running stock UK JB ROM.

I am having a similar problem with BH-111.
If I am using the headset - listening to music, or talking on the phone, it works fine. But when it is idle, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting with the phone.
I think this problem occurred only after I updated to Kitkat.

Bluetooth Issues

Hi Guys,
I'm having issues with my Desire S disconnecting from my car randomly after a call has been placed (it doesn't happen everytime). Only the phone part disconnects and not the media part, i have to turn bluetooth on and off on the phone to get it to re-connect and the car doesn't realise that the phone has disconnected itself.
I used to have issues with bluetooth on my old desire which would disconnect after a few seconds, it was the main reason i sold it. I've had no bluetooth issues with any other androids that ive owned/own (Optimus One, Moto Defy, Sony Ericsson Xperia X8/X10Mini, ZTE Blade).
Has anybody else had bluetooth issues, or know of any fixes?
Problems, yes - fixes, no.
Even had to pull the radio fuse to get the radio back a couple of times. I think the DS Bluetooth implementation is rather broken.
Not having any problems using my bluetooth headset although i have not tried any other devices.

Bluetooth Issue

Hi Folks,
Anyone had any similar problems? When my Z5 is connected to my VW Golf it constantly disconnects and reconnects, tried rebooting the phone, un-pairing and re-pairing still no joy
Just wondered if it was a bug sony needed to be aware, it's as if it's a power save feature that turns it off and on?
Cheers in advance.
Mine stays connected to my van fine
I use one of these in my car -> http://www.amazon.com/SoundBot-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Wireless-Streaming/dp/B00RH29CJO
No problem so far, it stays connected
I´we got the same problem with my Z5 and Pebble Time
I also have bluetooth streaming issues. Connections initiated by the phone seem to work fine. Those initiated by the car do not. Have zero issues with a Nexus 5. I believe the issue may be related to the "Throw" service.
My Z5 only connects to my Nissan Qashqai 50% of the time. My previous HTC M8 would connect every single time, but Z5 has to have bluetooth turned on/off to work with the car. It's incredibly annoying and I hope it can be improved with software
Sony will probably have to fix it in next update...
I have the same issue with a garmin watch but only since the update I had yesterday, same with the car stereo again since yesterday
Sent from my Sony Z5 ooossshhhh

Tried disabling the "throw" function and it's still doing the same.... really annoying !!!
Hope Sony are reading...
My Bluetooth keeps my device awake, which renders my Android Wear kinda useless

I have a 2014 mini and the Bluetooth doesn't have any connectivity issues, but I definitely have bugs with music skipping, especially if I have maps open or something. Better than the initial 5.0 Bluetooth bugs but still really annoying. Probably my main gripe with this phone so far other than the fingerprint scanner
I have exactly the same issue as the OP with my garmin watch it connects then disconnects every 5min or so, whats weird is if i unpair and repair the connection is good for about 3hrs then starts playing up...
I also have a nexus 6 which i've tested with lollipop 5.1.1 and marshmallow and it works perfectly, my HTC M8 i used to have did exactly the same issue's as this sony, its got something to do with the trusted device settings i think the nexus doesn't ever ask about trusted devices both the HTC and this Sony do so it can't be just coincidence...
Is there anyway to disable the trusted setup on the device ? Garmin are saying to connect via there garmin connect app and don't actually connect with the phones bluetooth directly, i've tried that still doesn't work properly... frustrating...
I also have the same problem in my BMW.
Additionally, when I start call using built-in handsfree it suddenly switches to the phone's speaker then after 10 second back to handsfree.
Hope Sony fix this soon.
Does anyone know if its possible to install a apk or whatever it needs to be so that you get rid of whatever modifications sony have done to the bluetooth process the only reason i ask is i know through my nexus 6 that the bluetooth works perfect from google so replacing the Sony setup with the pure google setup should cure the bluetooth issue's or if there is anyway to disable the trusted devices issue that i'm sure is causing my bluetooth problems this is annoying me enough to consider getting rid of this phone... Excuse me ignorance i'm not clever enough to understand if this is an impossible task...
Don't know if this will work for others but last night i unpaired everything bluetooth on my phone switched the bluetooth off restarted my phone switched the bluetooth on and re-paired and now the 2 things i had issue with are working flawlessly since about 6pm last night... ???

Similar issue with pebble time, every so often it disconnects. My only doubt is which of the two is failing the pebble or the phone.
No problem with car in-calls or audio bluetooth.
I have a Z5 and I have pretty much the same issue with a 2010 Jag XF, phone connects via BT for a differing period of time then disconnects, sometimes reconnecting sometime not.
I've not had this happen during a call, and not with other Sony Xperia Z's I've owned.
Also I don't appear to have this with other items connected Via BT.
'I aslo have problems with the BT. The z5 will pair with my garmin edge 520, after that it can't find it no more and can't connect.
With my Stereo amplifyer, NAD D3020 it can connect as it does not require pairing but the connection is poor and i get alot of artifacts when i play music over it.
For the Edge 520 it stops everytime it ask for Trusted device.
My phone is in for warrenty repair, Was for a cracked rear glass, but i told them about the problems with the BT too. The phone is on it's way back now. Hope this will fix the issue. If the BT don't work, the Z5 won't be usefull for what i want to do with it.
I know with my garmin, garmin told me not to connect with the phone directly just the connect app, weirdly my watch has been working perfect for about 3 days and now this afternoon is playing up again I've installed nothing new or changed any settings baffling
Sent from my Sony Z5 ooossshhhh
Similar problem here with my Android Wear and my Cartio Strip. Continuosly disconnect, B icon on status bar disappear, then re-appear after 1 - 2 min.
Someone known how to disable throw?
Thanks

Bluetooth crashing car stereo since update

I have a 2014 Toyota tundra. Before the update my Bluetooth was working perfect. Since the update, anytime I turn on the Bluetooth, it reboots/crashes my stereo. Just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem?
Sam
I have a Toyota Avalon and I am also having bluetooth issues since the 6.0.1 update. I have to power down the stereo and bluetooth on the phone to get the Media audio portion of bluetooth to connect. The Call audio connects fine automatically.
I called Verizon and they have has some reports of issues with this. They documented the issue and transferred me Samsung with no resolution.
Marshmallow on all the Nexus devices appear to have issues with Bluetooth according to these sites, could the issue be a marshmallow wide issue?

I just wanted to chime in. I have a 2004 Corolla and I don't have native Bluetooth audio connectivity so I use: FlexSMART X3 Bluetooth FM Transmitter. So far so good since the update to Marshallow and use with my LG HBS 750 Bluetooth Headset is ok as well. Sorry, sort of not really the same issue, but its working ok since Monday, when I took the OTA update to Marshmallow. Hopefully they Verizon/Samsung has a fix for this issue.
Same issue
I have a 2015 Highlander and have exact same issue. If you go to settings and then bluetooth, click the sprocket next to the paired toyota device and turn off contact and call sync, it will stop crashing your Toyota stereo. It does mean that your contacts and call history will not show in your Toyota system. I reinstalled android 5.1.1 from www sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SMN920V/ download 5.1.1 and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. The download takes about 2 hours but worth having my toyota stereo working again. I have contacted Toyota and Verizon and both have been zero help. :crying:

Bluetooth static on phone calls

I recently purchased a 2016 Lexus RX350. When I use the bluetooth during phone calls, there is terrible static. The music streams fine with no static. It is only happens on voice calls. I do have Marshmellow on my G4. It worked fine with my 2014 GS350 with Marshmellow 6.0. I did a factory reset along with pairing and unpairing. Is there a way to download the bluetooth module from Android 5 and replace the new bluetooth program with the old. I have notice that this is also a problem for new Infiniti vehicles. Thanks
I've experienced similar bluetooth static issues with my LG G4 after upgrading to Marshmallow. After a quick reboot the problem goes away, but it comes back minutes later. I have a LG HBS-750 and a less fancy 2013 Honda Accord LX.
I had the same problem, did you fix it yet? LG G4 and 2016 RX 350 can't go together .
Same issue with Lexus and BT

Hi - I have the same issue with my LG G4 and connecting BT to my Lexus. Im so pissed. Spent all this money on the car and cant get the phone to connect properly. I can play music although it pauses every 20 seconds. But using as a phone is impossible. It's so staticy that you cant hear on either end. Lexus dealership was useless. LG was useless and Verizon blamed both of them. Have you found anything that works?

Bluetooth disconnection during calls (with car kit)

Hi everyone,
I've searched in this forum but couldn't find anyone with this strange problem...
I'm constantly connected to my Moto 360 v2 and, while in my car, also connected with my BT car kit. No problem listening to music trough BT or with connection.
The only problem is during calls (sent or received) there are random disconnections during the calls and I'm forced to manually re-connect the phone to continue talking through bluetooth (it never reconnects on its own).
That's very annoying and I can't make a phone call without loosing the conversation... That's the only problem I have left with this tremendous phone and I have no idea what to do. The only thing I can add is that it's working fine if I manually disconnect the watch while in my car...
No more notification issues, perfect connection to both watch and any BT device, no disconnections while doing something else than calling.
I'm on NXT-L29C432B170 stock non rooted in a Skoda Superb 2014... Any ideas??
Thanks in advance for your help
I have the same issue with a Huawei Watch and Monster iSport BT headset.
Hello all
The same problem with Car media center on Android 5.1.1...
This issue is with B320 but not with B19X

i do have the same random disconnects with both my LG Urbane watch, two Bluetooth car (Nissan Qashqai and Primastar) and a handset, Plantronics Voyager Edge. NXT-AL10 with Kangvip Slim B180.
So Huawei needs to update firmware with best Bluetooth results
