Hi eveyone,
I'm a little bit lost with my phone...
My xt925 was in :
Branding: Orange France Version: 9.8.0Q-97-XT925_VQU-19 Android Version: 4.1.1
and because I want to use 4G I want to flash with:
Branding: Retail France/Retail Central Europe Version: 9.8.2Q-8-XT925_VQU-22 Android Version: 4.1.2
So I used RSD lite to flash to 4.1.2 but RSD lite was stuck in step 15/22 flash boot "boot_signed" (without the "var ligne")
By surfing the internet I though that maybe I should unlock the bootloader.
So I did it with th motorola web tool and now it's unlocked but RSD lite still stuck in step 15/22 flash boot "boot_signed"
I've tried also to flash from the sd card in recovery mode but: installation aborted ...
I also tried with RazrHD-Toolkit-5.0 and DroidHD Utility Lite but it always come back to fastboot:
AP Fastboot Flash Mode (S)
10,9B(*) (sha-5b608bc, 2012-12-20 23:52:32)
eMMC Info: Size 16GB
Device is UNLOCKED, Status Code: 3
Battery OK
Transfert Mode:
USB Connected
Fastboot Reason: Sticky bit factory_fastboot
usb connected
Please help me to thefinish the work ...... I beg you !!! :crying:

I would. Easy.
Cautious:
You want to dl the 925 fxz/xml & move the recovery.img to sd card & let "Recovery tools" app from play do it.
I use any atrix hd, xt925, xt926 & photon Q cwmr & stock (not twrp) recovery on my xt907 all the time.
The stock files are identical.

Here is where I let you down.
That item you renamed was it the ...carrier blah blah.xml.zip?
If so that zip needs to be extracted to its own folder. Then run the latest drivers from the moto site. Next install rsd. Run rsd & select the .xml file by using the ... button in rsd.

Ok
You never say what version of rsd.
Need 6.1.5.
Also take out any whole lines with getvar in them, from the xml

If that is not it then I am stumped & someone else can step in.

Hi!
Just found a way to update to JB from the 1.053 version (Acer_AV043_A700_RV22RC03_EMEA_DE) on wich every other update failed for me. But runs with the other versions, too.
Unlock Bootloader
Install CWM (6.0.1.4)
Visit this german forum
get the file A700 JB Full ROM AV051_1.028.00_EMEA_DE RV09RC02.zip
flash it via CWM
DONE!
Just tested and it's working.
Credits go to those who deserve it.
I deleted CWM and a mate let it where it was and both A700 are running fine [*] (see below!)
... now waiting for root
----------------------------
[*] New info:
My friend, who kept CWM, unlocked the bootloader again after the update and now has a bootloop. So my advice is to kill CWM after the update.
I don't get into recovery too (with locked bootloader) it says "recovery image verified failed". But system starts normally afterwards.
------------------
More info:
I had CWM on the tab too, because i misunderstood the question:
When asked
Code:
ROM may flash stock recovery on boot. Fix?
No
No
No
Yes - Disable recovery flash
say NO! to kill CWM.
------------------
Still more info to come:
(4.10.2012)
The bootloop was fixed by flashing a propriate recovery after beeing able to enter fastboot using the right key combination.
andiby left us a JB stock recovery: recovery.img and he build a CWM 6.0.1.4 with JB Kernel: recovery-a700-6014JB.img which runs fine for me.
Use the CWM with JB Kernel only to flash files and not to WIPE, FORMAT or RESTORE a backup, because there were issues with a different JB based CWM and I can't guarantee this one to work, because I have not tested it.
I'm on FR Firmware, can you tell me how should I proceed?
If you want to keep the FR firmware you will have to wait for an appropriate update file.
If you want to switch to Germen I think it should work with this method, because the zip file contains everything from bootloader to system files.
Do you think I can here: https://app.dumptruck.goldenfrog.com/p/GOKKb2PavJ download an install then install Acer_A700_AV043.RV07RC03_AV043.RV07RC06_EMEA_DE thereafter this here JB?
I would not recommend it, because your file is only 340 MB while the one from the thread above is nearly 400 MB.
I think you only need the file from my post, because there is everything in it fpr JB afaik, but I can give no guarantee, because I only used it to update my German version.
PS: Might it be posible to reduce the size of your signature a bit? Threads are much more difficult to read if a signature is almost always larger than a normal post. Thank you to give consideration to my request.

Yes but i can from FR Firmware to DE and install first update (5MB) and this is 1.053 => finally JB or i think wrong?

I just don't get why you want to flash anything else before the "A700 JB Full ROM AV051_1.028.00_EMEA_DE RV09RC02.zip" because it is a FULL ROM and should be flashable over ICS 1.023, ICS 1.027, ICS 1.053 and ICS 1.055 to get JB 1.028.

Thank u . This is the SEA singapore/malaysia rom Version
Does the rom contain the firmware or have u removed it?
I have corrected the links for u with clickable ones.. As above.
Those who want to download , just click on the quote above
NOTE: that the firmware file in Original post is a full version, not a custom one . Flashing the firmware will result in loss of root
Here are 2 files, Choose one to flash , not both
If u flash this
2.24.707.1-custom firmware.zip
yr S-off , custom recovery and still Hboot 1.44 intact, u can use revone
on this. If u are already S-off , rooted and want to just upgrade the firmware flash this
If u flash this :
2.24.707.1-Unmodified firmware.zip
Yr S-off may be gone but u cannot use revone commands anymore . Hboot will be upgraded to 1.54 , custom recovery will be removed and potential problems later one . Flash this if u want just like the Stock OTA upgrade
---------- Post added at 05:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:00 AM ----------
Explanation for the above: Generally U need to remove 3 things if u want to flash firmware on S-off phone
Boot.img - Kernel ( this is stock kernel ) remove if u are on custom rom
recovery.img ( HTC recovery) remove if u ant yr TWRP or CWM intact
Hboot ( remove if u want to keep yr phone Unlocking bootloader ability )

Thanks for fixing the links. No the firmware is not included in the ROM. It only has boot.img, /system and /data/preload. The firmware will need to be flashed separately using fastboot oem rebootRUU. The firmware can be extracted from the OTA firmware.zip or the link above. I'd remove hboot from the firmware as well. 1.54 hboot is a problem. Haha.

yes , thats what i meant. The rom should not contain recovery or Hboot or any firmware files

So try changing the title

No . This firmware is the full version. I stated earlier ... It will result in loss of root .. u need to remove the boot.omg, recovery.ing and hbootbya.img before flashing
I have posted a custom version of this firmware in #2 post of this thread
updated my 2nd post.....
just to confirm, if i'm currently on CWM touch and ARHD and would like to get back to stock recovery and stock ROM
i just need to download the 2 files quoted by Magpir and flash them using the following instructions?
Download stock odexed version of most recent firmware and recovery.img
Move recovery.img to c:\mini-sdk location
Boot your device in recovery mode (power off the device and turn it on using power + vol down buttons and select "RECOVERY")
In main menu, select "install zip from sdcard" and "choose zip from sdcard".
Navigate to the location of stock ROM (zip) package and confirm flashing procedure.
After flashing process is complete, reboot the device in bootloader mode.
Connect your device to the PC
Boot your device in fastboot mode (like you did during unlocking bootloader - power off the device and turn it on using power + vol down buttons and select "FASTBOOT")
Open up command prompt ( Start > Run > type cmd and hit enter ). The window that appears is called Command Prompt. <click here to see the image>
Navigate to where you unzipped "mini-sdk" package (type in Command Prompt: cd c:\mini-sdk). Note: make sure the path is not c:\mini-sdk\mini-sdk
In the Command Prompt type following command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
You have now stock boot, system and recovery partitions. Time to relock your bootloader.
In the Command Prompt type following command: fastboot oem lock.

Yes. 1800 and 2600 MHz are supported by the HTC__044 M7UL model.
Hi everybody,
here is the official OTA files from HTC, for PN71400, CID HTC__044, LTE version。 hope it be helpful
NOTICE:This is not a flashable file, you need to install it using the official recovery
Here is the guide to instal the OTA file:
1. Copy OTA file to SDCARD
2. Boot to Stock recovery and once at the triangle, press volume up + power for about 3 seconds and then release, then you will need to wait for a few seconds to get the blue recovery menu. Then select ‘install from internal memory’ (or something like that) and find the file like you would in CWM
Update should install and your firmware and software should both match the version of the OTA Update.
Also a video to show you the whole process, HOWEVER, it is in Chinese, but it can still help you understand the method mentioned above.

really? you just flashed the OTA like it was a rom??
@xunqren, maybe mention in the OP that this isn't something that can simply be flashed?
@nls000, suggest you ask your question about how to fix your mess in the Q&A thread. Likely to get more help there.

you did not brick your device...don't worry..go to fastboot and flash the latest TWRP recovery. COmmnads follows:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip <twrpfilename.zip>
fastboot reboot-recovery
go to recovery from the menu and now you should have the TWRP installed.
go to advanced and then select sideload...
from the command prompt type: adb sideload <romname.zip>
after 100% the rom should start and then reboot!
for flashing FW, you can check sneakyghost thread and run the FUU

Hello all,
I have been going slightly mad today trying to get my mate 7 2GB back from CWM to stock recovery. The main problem is that I do not have a stock recovery image. But after being shown where to find one, I noticed that I could not get it successfully flashed either.
Since I do not really know how to do this, I used flashify, but that did not work and either returned me to the CWM or sent me to rescue.
Can someone help me to a) get a stock recovery image for the Mate 7 version MT7-L09 and b) show me how to properly flash it?
Find stock recovery is easy.. only a question why flashify don't work for you? It work fine for me... your device is rooted?

Hi @dzjero86, my device is rooted and I am on the B137SP03 version atm, using CWM. Don't know why Flashify is not working for flashing a recovery image. It works fine to flash a CWM recovery. Maybe I have the wrong stock recovery... If you can find it, can you send me the link or add it as an attachment here?
Please guys help me to . i have that same problem i have been trying to flash the stock recovery again but i couldn't even with flashify after i flash i takes me to bootloader screen and it shows me a fun_error message

A way to find the stock recovery is : download the whole B137SP03 Rom from the Huawei site , and use a tool called "Firmware unpacker for Huawei" whit this tool you can extract the recovery.img from the Rom and try to flash it using flashify

Do you tried flash via fastboot ?
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Or try to use this tool
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mat...custom-recovery-tool-mt7-l10-l10-mt7-t3022424
This should work.
The fast boot just stucks at waiting for device
And the tool you send says that the stock recovery works only on tl_09 and my device is tl_10

Ok, I couldnt access your firmware unpacker, but I did manage to use the tool you suggested.
I have a different recovery screen, but is this the right one? It has EMUI large in centre screen and the options reboot system now, wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition.
If this is the correct one, and I am already on the D137SP03 ROM, I should be able to locally update right?
I tried this, and got a lot further this time, but my phone gave an error message during the update. Do I need to flash the original B137SP03 rom again, even though I am already on it?
I think you maybe can flash using adb commands and also you need adb drivers working

I think so. If stock looks like I described: black screen, large EMUI logo, and the options reboot system now, wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition?
That's right... you have stock recovery... sometimes the update fail if the UPDATE.APP is on the internal storage.. try to flash from a micro sd card or re-download the update ....

No luck so far.... I've downloaded the update.zip, put it in my mnt/ext_sdcard/dload folder and start the local update. It begins OK, as the progress bar moves along. But after about 25% it shoots to the end, and then I get an update failed screen with a red exclamation mark.
What could I try to get it to work??

Ok, I just reinstalled the B137P03 version from the how to install lollipop thread, and that went successful. Now going to try the update.zip! Keep you posted
Ah, now we're talking It seems to have worked. Phone is now showing 'Android is upgrading' and 'optimising app.....'
Great! It does seem strange I had to reinstall the B137SP03 rom, but that did the trick!
For product: a51_dtul
Download the firmware from here
Note 1: If you get "Waiting for device", install drivers properly.
Note 2:The zip will not extract, you have to use it directly without extracting. So don't bother trying to extract the zip, it will always give you error.
Note 3: If using windows 8/8.1/10, make sure to disable driver signature check before installing drivers.
Install fastboot drivers from below if not installed previously..
FastbootDrivers1 or FastbootDrivers2
Download fastboot tools from the attachement, extract it somewhere..
Method 1: pushing the RUU through PC
Now place the above downloaded zip inside the same folder having "fastboot.exe" and rename it to "firmware.zip"
Open command prompt onto the current folder (Shift+Right Click on the folder then select "Open Command Window here")
Boot into fastboot mode (Vol down+ Power then select fastboot)
Now type the commands as given below..
1. fastboot reboot-bootloader
2. fastboot oem lock (If Bootloader is Unlocked previously otherwise skip)
3. fastboot oem rebootRUU
wait for silver htc logo
3. fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
Now some progress bar should appear onto you phone. Wait for it to finish, after that
4. fastboot reboot
Method 2: from the phone itself thanks to @Kellwa
1- Lock the bootloader using fastboot oem lock command
2- Rename the downloaded zip to 0PFJIMG.zip
3- Put the file on sd card and insert it into mobile
4- Reboot into bootloader and it will ask you if you want to update
5- Press VOL UP to say yes

No, that is RUU for kitkat 4.4.
To update to lollipop, either download it in phone or wait for anyone to upload it then download it on PC and then flash it.
And your download gets corrupted, better watch your Internet connection. Get a stable connection (WiFi preferred) then download the update
I have tried to download it three times from different machines. Successful downloaded every time. However, the downloaded zip file seems to be corrupted (cannot open by any of the zip viewers). I think the original file is corrupted. Correct me if I am wrong.
I have successfully upgraded in one attempt. But lost my boot.img.. We need help of some person who can upload the complete ZIP. This will help me and all those who are receiving corrupted update file.

The Zip you downloaded is not supposed to be opened, it has to be used directly. Its normal that the zip won't extract. It does not mean at all that your download is corrupt
