you were able to reboot into recovery? if so how because im using a rooted rom altered beast and i can go into recovery only the first time after i ran it through ODIN
Download quick boot from market. Or turn off phone. Hold volume up and home key in then while holding those in hold the power button in. When you see sanding screen let go of power button but not the volume up or home key.

If you want a multi-functional widget similar to the power control widget but more with an option for reboot (rooted including recovery, bootloader, etc you can also try

Widgetsoid. It's a free app, and the developer is pretty good with it.
I havent tried myself, as I just got my charge about an hour ago, and am familiarizing myself with all the development threads...
Anyone lol please

The only stock rooted ROM I have seen is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1085190 its Stock Rooted ED1 downgrade from ED2.
Is that ROM with the Google Experience or the Samsung experience (with Touchwiz)?
Thanks

[Q] Xoom 2 p/w locked.... Tear down?

Ok my xoom 2 has been password locked thanks to my 10 year old brother who doesn't know what the password is.... (oh yay) unfortunately usb debugging wasn't enabled so running any commands to hard reset my xoom is a no go.
I have searched and searched for the last few days with no success in finding a solution so i'm going to have to go beneath the hood and have a play around.
I already know how to tear down the xoom as I've already tried doing a battery pull.
Does anyone at all know anything about the internals that I could pull to wipe the device or return it to stock?
I really don't like the idea that I have spent a few hundred dollars on a pretty looking frisbee.... :-/

Alright I'll give it a few more goes I have heard it can be a bit tedious to get into by making the right timing to press the buttons.

Maybe you'd benefit from this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634368
I haven't done it myself, but saw the post recently.
Why do you need the power button in recovery?
I am rom manager to flash clockworkmod/custom roms
That's why it need power button when I flash custom roms

But you can also press the "Search"-button! It has the same function as the power button.

[Q] CM 10.1 Wingray - Reboot into Recovery

I just flashed CM 10-.1 3/15 and I can't reboot into recovery via power button menu. Is there another way to do this?
AW: [Q] CM 10.1 Wingray - Reboot into Recovery
Reboot your Xoom and wait for the Motorola logo to appear. *After approximately 3 seconds, press the volume down button. You should then see the Android recovery logo. Press the volume up*button to select it.
