Why is it related to slow

I bet your gallery app causes this high memory amount... Just delete its data your pics and Videos will stay safe... Nevertheless this isnt a solution for your speed problem

How much space do you have left on your Nexus?

Nexus S Free Space After Wipe
What's the free space on your NS? I've got about 6 apps downloaded. A couple are games but other than that, none to big. My internal storage shows 834MB free. How much space is available for internal out of box? I really don't want to wipe to find out. Currently it's sitting at 860
The phone has a internal SD card.. so it says you have 800+ of internal phone space but you also have a additional 13gb+ of internal SD space.. so no worrys..

Gallery using a lot of data?

Why does the gallery use so much data?mines has used almost 100mb since ics update, does anybody know why?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Hmm, don't really have a clue, but I'm using QuickPic, I disabled the built-in gallery completely.
Yeah the stock 3d gallery app is crap and sucks data. You can use root explorer to delete it then grab quikpic from the market.
Not as fancy as the stock, but great none-the-less.
You probably have the google+ app set to do automatic uploads, go into settings in the G+ app to deactivate this.
No I have upload disabled... I'm not into sharing every pic I take...

disable picasa sync or google photo in the sync settings

Well, you don't really need to delete it, just disable it in the apps if you are using ICS.

clear the data of browser in application manager settings.
Just goto the downloads in the app drawer, and delete the ongoing download if you don't want to download it further.
It should solve the notification issue too.

It is not there or any where else i could find.
It's still downloading and i don't want to reflash as restoring contacts, smses, sync, joing contacts is really a tedious job.

This is worst. It wasted my whole battery power in just 4 hours..

Do what marchygeek said, remove the Browser application cache.
Thanks guys for your help. Well, every thing happens for good Now i finally flashed to remICS 1.5.1 and it's 10x faster and responsive than 1.3. Thanks again for helping..

Do you tried to reflash and wipe?
No luck.....was also present in ics but not in oxygen or stock.....i guess it is bcoz of an app or setting...
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda app-developers app
Maybe because its not installable. Directly place it in system app and change permissions
Restart!!
'Unknown Sources' under 'Applications' in settings is checked?
this is strange, the unresponsive screen is a known bug, but in that case the entire screen is unresponsive, not part of it.
Well you can always try this workaround - whenever you face unresponsiveness, just lock and unlock your phone then and there, it should be fine.
As for Unknown sources, you wouldn't even reach this screen if that isn't ticked already. Try some other ROM or you might be losing the srceen!
Dont know....rebooted nothing happened....i flash too much things like sdspeedfix, search as power....camera patch....may b something is conflicting coz there is no problem on untweaked rom.....thnx for advice.

Happened to me couple of times but a simple reboot would fix it. if u use app2sd script then try reflashing it
I had something like that before. But it was when i was using screen filter app. Disabled it and ta da it responds. Check whether u use a screen filter app

What rom are you on? Have you tried cleaning gallery apps data & cache?
To clean app data/cache: Settings/Apps/All/Gallery
Here's an example picture of what it looks like:
