I was poking around reading about how to get flash to work and saw this on the side bar.

Okay, so I've been searching everywhere but I can't seem to find it so I thought I'd ask. Is there a fully working and functional Touchwiz 4 rom for the NS4G? I don't want just the launcher, I mean the full rom. Any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

For some reason my contacts ringtones have quit working and my phone ringtones plays for everyone. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this and what the solution may be?

Well, nevermind. I installed Ringo from the Market and it worked that way. I had tried setting the contact ringtones thru both the system contacts as well as GoContacts and neither worked. But this did. Weird.
Anyone understand this?

I don't understand why you all feel the need to respond to a post that is a few days old...and one where he/she even figured it out on his own.
Your sarcastic remarks do nothing to help the situation. Either politely help the guy out, whether it be pointing him in the right direction or even answer his question in the process...or don't post at all.
Zeus is not my rom, but its under The Collective umbrella now, and we just don't run our show that way.

Nun is right... but the only thing that irritates me is if you will look in general and [email protected], there are 7 Zeus threads created by people who don't feel like posting in the actual Zeus [email protected] thread. That's why I don't answer in these threads anymore, I have pointed and pointed people in the right direction to Zeus thread til I'm blue in the face. I think everyone should at least ask where it is, rather than start a multitude of threads... I can't be all over the place at one time, the reason I have a [email protected] thread, lol.... just stating the facts. But nun is right, the noob bashing needs to stop(me included) we are more adult than that..

No...not my boards. Just try to get the users of our roms on the same page as us. That is all. And if users of our roms...noob or otherwise...get treated poorly, just want them to know that its not our philosophy. We try not to put down users who need help, even when it comes to forum etiquette.

Has anyone looked into http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709586 ? It's a thread in the Sprint Galaxy Nexus forum for a modded version of nfc.apk that allows the phone to read nfc tags with the screen off. There's a link in the first post to a version for the One X, albeit the Tegra 3 version (one of which is for CM10 which I'm currently running). I'm very tempted to try it out on our phone as I can't foresee many ramifications if it doesn't work out and I backup the stock app. I might try it out in the next few days, but before I do, does anyone have any opinions?
Also, I tried to find a similar thread in our forums and couldn't, so if I'm duplicating something, I'm sorry. This is my first time starting a thread, so please go easy on me

I would have loved to have posted this in a more trafficked thread but it would have been pushed here from general as it's a question and I'm too new and member with too few posts to post in development. I'm getting impatient waiting for a technical response or investigation so I think I'm going to back up, try it out, and report back. Wish me luck!

i'm interested to see what happens.
i sent the guy who created the modded .apk for the international one x a personal message, asking if it would work for us.
he didn't respond.
if it works that would be great.
I tried it out and although I haven't been able to use NFC with the screen off it didn't break my NFC either. I'll keep experimenting with it.

I tried messing around with the apk and couldn't get it to work. I know this feature is available in other ROMs for the evita, so it's got to be possible somehow. I'm watching this thread very closely and hopefully someone a lot smarter than me can get it working on CM10
There are evita ROMs with screen off NFC? I've yet to see any (although admittedly I haven't looked hard).

I really wanna use NFC tags, but they would be so much more useful if I didn't have to unlock the phone to use them.

I'm not sure where to ask this, so please move it if it's not in the right place. What forum software is XDA using currently? I know that it was vBulletin for a while, but that seems to have changed. I am going to be running my own site soon and was looking at different forum software. I really like the way the XDA forums function so I was curious on what you guys are using.
