Hey there all I'm running stock android KitKat 4.4.2 rooted with CWM and I have notes recently that the sound equalizer option in the sound configuration menu is disabled even though the MusicFX is enabled in the device, I tried installing Volume+ as a temporary fix and when trying to open it it crashes.
As a reminder when setting the android sound enhancer, it doesn't matters which I choose they both crash.
Any ideas about what causes them to crash and a possible solution will be appreciated and tested

The unlocking sound and clicking sound doesnt work.
I have them enabled in sound setting and at max volume.
Sounds for other things work like notification, music(google music), and other media stuff, but not the sounds from the settings...
I don't think its a hardware problem tho...
anyone know how to fix this?
I remember hearing the unlocking and clicking on app noises before I rooted my tablet(tf101)

Hey guys.
I have been avoiding stock ROM primarily because of the fact that I couldn't use V4A on it.
I would install V4A(after disabling JBL or not,no difference at all),and I would lose audio and the floating audio control window which would appear whenever I would click the volume buttons wouldn't show at all(I tried changing the volume levels from Settings too,but it did nothing)
So,if anyone has V4A fully working on stock 5.0,can he/she be so kind and share the procedure they followed when they were installing V4A?

I followed this guide and works great.
I didn't do the build.prop part.
Hi.
Android apparently has some sort of equalizer. When I play music is sounds better but louder than voice, which sounds distorted.
I assume there are different equalizer settings for each.
Because voice sounds distorted I wanted to search for something tweaking the settings.
Currently I only know Viper4Android, which has to be installed as an app.
I cannot use Viper4Android, so I wanted to search for some Equalizer settings built in Android 6.0.1 itself.
Could you help me finding them? Is there anything to tweak them (build.prop)?
Where do I start looking?
Specifically it is about my smartwatch, the speaker works fine but in phone mode the voice is distorted.
I want to find some way to tweak this.
Asus Zenwatch 2, rooted
Hi all.
I have an issue when I record a video with the default app on my Moto Z2 Play. I tried every mode, and on all no have audio. If I record audio with a recording audio app from Play Store, it works.
My phone is rooted and have the stock Oreo version (8.0.0). Also I installed Viper4Arise (Numbers 3.5). I not know if this caused the problem.
Regards.
Confirmed!
Viper4Arise was the problem. I restored a previous version of system image by TWRP Recovery and the problem solves. I installed Viper4Android FX Materialized v1.1 (2.6.0.5) using Magisk Manager and it works. Driver installed, audio prossesing: yes, and video recording with audio using default app.
Regards.
Now I updated to the last version (1.8.1) using downloads section of Magisk and works better with my V2A profiles.
But sometimes after reboot, V4A keeps with no processing. Probably I need to wait for finish the reboot completly before connect my headphones. I need to investigate it, jeje.
Regards.
Well, for some reason, in PowerAMP, the Direct Volume Control feature was enabled, I remember that I disabled it, but, well... Apparently now works normally, I will test it for some days.
Regards.
After few days, all it's OK.
Solved.
Regards.
I was using Viper4Android in my old Android 6.0.1 head unit without any problem. I did use headset effects on my car speakers. There was an option like "Lock settings to Headset" or something like this in options menu.
Now I rooted my Android 10 device and installed ViperAndroid Fx 2.7 and it's driver successfully. But only effects under the speaker menu are working. I just looked options menu but didn't find any option about this.
How can I enable Headset effects on my car speakers?
Hello,
You can't. I spent a lot of time to find out how to do the same, I finally found a message on the viper forum in which the dev said that they locked the effects on the BT output during a major update in 2018 or 2019, It was intentional and they didn't plan to change this.
I tried to use an older viper version on my mtcd, my unit bootlooped so I had to revert back to the embedded version (Android 9 for me) .
