[Q] Sound Problem - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The unlocking sound and clicking sound doesnt work.
I have them enabled in sound setting and at max volume.
Sounds for other things work like notification, music(google music), and other media stuff, but not the sounds from the settings...
I don't think its a hardware problem tho...
anyone know how to fix this?
I remember hearing the unlocking and clicking on app noises before I rooted my tablet(tf101)
Rom : ARHD 3.5.1
Kernel : Kernel that comes with ARHD 3.5.1

[Q] Help - Terrible in-call volume

Folks,
On my HTC Sensation, the in-call volume is so low that I can hardly hear the caller. I always have to switch to the speaker.
My in-call volume is set to max.
I think this happened after htc-sync upgraded the OS version to 2.3.4. My wife has exactly the same model but she does not have this problem. Her phone has not yet been upgraded.
I called HTC. They tell me that it is a known issue and to check back with them periodically. A lame answer:-(.
I would appreciate it if anyone has any idea on how to get my in-call volume back.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards,
Peter
i'm experiencing the same low in-call volume, so i rooted my device and installed the leaked HTC Sense 3.5 ROM and it's better, but not where i want it to be. i also flashed the TMOBUS (T Mobile US) rooted stock ROM and it has a HAC (Hearing Aid Compatible) feature that significantly boosts in-call volume, but you cannot adjust the volume. it's been my experience that volume boosts can be added to the kernel. i wish i knew how to do that... also, don't know if the source code has been released .... wish i could offer more help!

that's not going to work... you have to tweak the kernel (or some other object) to boost in-call volume. (i would love to be wrong, but i tried that app already)
+1 on vol plus you can also trie mikes revolution 4.1 which is the 3.5 sense leak. volume was a major improvement. developement has just started on this leak but i ran it with no major problems

The APP does not affect the earpiece or call volume. Its only for the speaker and music.
Volume + has boosted ALL volume settings on my phone including speaker. My experience has been
that the app needs to be manually activated as it seems to not start up at boot or run in background.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Root your phone and use volume + or dsp manager. Works like a charm. My volume is LOUD

i agree that the program works with in-call volume settings, or the same setting that you can adjust while on a call. the program does not amplify - or boost - the in-call volume like one can by manipulating the kernel (or other objects) so that it's louder. this type of manipulation is like adding an power-amplifier to a home-theater AV receiver. the net effect: on my Inc S with a stock kernel, my in-call volume setting would be level 4 (of 5). using a kernel with audio boost, my in-call volume setting is 2 and at most 3.

I bought the paid version of volume + over the weekend and actually got it to boost/amplify my call volume tremendously.
My only problem now is my new Anker battery is being drained at abnormal rates as a result from using this app. A 20 minute call costs 20=30% of battery life vs. before the app was installed.
Obviously the CPU is getting a work out just running the app. I would think the increased voltage to the speaker would constitute as some kind of amplification like a home theatre system.
Has anyone else experience abnormal battery life as a result from usning this app?

Static sound after playing music on speakers

After playing music on speakers, and sometimes after disconnecting the headphones, I can hear a static sound coming out from the speakers. I don't know if it's a dsp manager problem or just a rom problem. Somebody with same problem? It's normal this sound to be heared for some seconds after stopping music, but not all day.
This drinks the battery very very fast.
I've kph with cranium rom.
I'm using the xxkph + cranium ROM 3.1(fix). Until now, i did not face such problem that you have. Been playing music through speakers and headphones, playing videos. No static sound. Afraid you left some steps before fully installing the custom room or cf-root.
Are you sure? Do you use the dsp manager?
Play some music on your speakers and when pausing it put your ear very close te the speaker and tell me if you don't hear it please.
I moved from froyo to xxkpm based custom rom & had this problem, found the source of the problem to be dsp manager so removed it & sound was gone. It sounded like ta, tich, ta....ta..tich. It was annoying when sitting in silent area, 1st noticed while sleeping something was making sound but could not figure out what next day I found out that speaker remains ON even when phone is not in use & it makes this funny sound.
I will flash back stock rom & test if this is indeed a problem with stock rom or custom rom.
Yes, I have the same sound. I will try removing DSP Manager. What a shame, DSP Manager is quite good, do anybody know something like it? I have PowerAMP but it has just a equalizer.

[Q] Viper4Android and others - why no better sound on my HTC One XL (AOKP m2)???

Hi,
this is my first thread and I already searched everywhere to get my problem solved. Unfortunately without successso far...
Whatever soundmod I am using, the sound does not change at all on my HTC One XL (evita) with AOKP milestone 2.
First, I tried Viper4Android, installed everything, chose V4A in the sound settings, enabled V4A, chose different IRS files, but whatever I do,
the sound does not change at all, no matter how I change the program's settings. I followed all the installation instructions carefully,
so the program should work fine.
After removing V4A, I tried Noozxoide, installed it, chose it in the settings and enabled it. But there is also no effect on the sound quality at all,
no matter how I adjust the settings in the app.
Lastly, I downloaded some other DSP/equalizer programs like Music Equalizer, but there is no change in the sound when I adjust effects and
settings (enabling, disabling the program does not change anything, all equalizer pre-sets sound identical, extra bass has no effect etc.).
As I use my phone for listening music every day, the sound quality is quite important for me and compared to the Sense with Beats Audio it is
really much much worse.
The sound quality is the only downside compared to the stock rom for me, otherwise I am very happy with AOKP and the rom works very fine.
Does anyone know where the problem might be?
Are there any soundfilters in AOKP that prevent sound mods to work properly?
Any other HTC/AOKP users that have/had similar problems?
Thanks a lot in advance..!

Stock ROM and kernel?
Sorry - yes stock rom and firmware 44s, looks like it could be a common issue on the one

Reduce the volume of ringtones and multimedia

After installing the unofficial ROM CherishOS 3.6 of my phone, I had a sound problem and it led to a decrease in ringtone or even a multimedia program. Even after the official flash ROM, this problem continued. Did the phone have a hardware problem? What should I do to solve it?
This sounds like a hardware issue.
I guess to temporarily fix this, you could attempt to root your device via Magisk and get your hands on ViPER4Android to fix such issues with the speaker (like amping up your speaker's DBs, for example)
