ok serious help, phone will not boot up

ok, tried doing the official ota update about 2 days ago, but once it tried doing the update, my phone gets stuck at the (M) logo.
I cannot boot it up in anyway possible, and my battery is dead so i cant start it up while plugged in USB, but if its plugged into the wall itll start up and im able to get into boot loader etc...
ive tried putting a recovery img on root of sd card and applying as an update.zip file and getting an sdcard error status 7.
my phone was never rooted, all stock. any help>

power off your phone, plug it into wall charger and let it charge up. while its charging up download a 2.1 sbf,
SHOLS_U2_02.31.0_UCASHLSMR2EMEAB1B805C.0R_PDS003_USASHLS00RTEU_P042_A005_HWp2a_1FF.sbf.gz (google it)
Then download RSD Lite (google it)
Then when your phone is charged boot into bootloader (hold up on keyboard and press power button)
connect to pc via usb, open rsd lite, make sure phone shows up connected, load sbf you downloaded and press start and let it do its thing.
should bring you back to stock 2.1.

well thats the thing, ive let it sit plugged into a wallcharger for hours upon hours, the secon i plug it in, it turns on by itsself and sits at the moto M screen, and once i unplug it i cant do that.

i am able to get it to the screen where you can wipe/data factory reset, wipe cache, reboot and apply update.zip. if i had an update file, and i did a wipe and flashed it, would that fix it? because ive tried that, but idk if its the wrong file or what, but i get a sdcard error. like status 7 on the verification step
also on getting the batt charged, i noticed when plugged into a wall screen lights up with M logo. and when i plug into computer with usb, the white light next to charger lights up?

ask for help...im using starhub msxt720 ...my phone is rooted and after i install jit on my phone then my phone is reboot n stuck at starhub logo....cannot reach to moto logo ...i go to recovery and wipe cache and all the data , but now still stuck at the starhub logo...wat should i do ??..all master here i need ur help!!

you don't run an update, u reflash the phone with rsd lite. choose the correct sbf for ur phone from here - http://and-developers.com/sbf:milestone?s[]=sbf, download it, extract it, flash it. make sure the battery has a full charge

.i want to reflash but rsd lite cannot detect my milestonext720...how ?..FYI b4 this i run adb on same pc...but it can run...all driver for motorola hav installed ..ill use rsd lite 4.5.3

I actually had this problem myself fairly recently. I was able to partially insert the plug into my phone until the LED turned on, but not far enough to where the Motorola logo turned on. It'll either try to fall out or plug further in, so I recommend placing it on a surface which won't have much disturbance.
After about an hour, you should have sufficient charge to mess around with the software and flash a new SBF by the bootloader, or reflash a backup through recovery. I wouldn't recommend leaving it plugged in too long like this, because it might not be very good for the phone's health.

umm .. what's about charging the battery with another phone or external charger and put it back to ur phone?

i have just the same issue ... i am sure that the battery is fully charged, cause ive charged it with another milestone ... but that one simply won't turn on ... tried different combinations of sd/simcard/battery on and off .. still the same ... Any help would be highly appreciated.

pull out the battery get back and push d-pad UP and power buttons before M logo came up. so you can flash a sbf file with rsd-lite._a

[Q] Soft Brick on the Phone (wonky SD Card twist)

Sorry if this seems like a redundant post, but I'm unable to find anything specific for my little scenario which runs as follows:
So I was attempting to flash my phone w/ infinityROM through CWM, but after the flash, my Droid Charge will not get past the Samsung loading screen Now here is where it gets complicated before you start referring me to the Odin threads to flash it w/ the PIT file:
When hooking my phone up to ANY PC (regardless of Windows OS), Windows recognizes that my phone is connected, but will not let me access the SD card on the phone. It pops up as both a CD drive and a Removable drive in Windows and when navigating to it, Windows comes back saying, "Please insert disk into [drive]." Looking under Disk Management, it says that there is no media for the drive in question. I even swapped in a new microSD into it (after copying everything over from the original) and it was still coming up with the same thing, so same symptoms using both microSD cards.
(If you're wondering how I was able to flash infinityROM, I had to use a USB drive w/ a microSD adapter, put the .zip for the ROM on there then put it back into the phone and flashed it through CWM as normal; and yes, wiped the data and the Dalvik cache ).
As it stands right now, I can't load up into CWM to even try a restore (which I did before trying to flash it) and it won't boot up into Download mode to even try an Odin flash.
Any help on this would really, really be appreciated (the sooner, the better obviously ). If you need more information, let me know and I'll provide it as necessary.

can you get into download mode? by remove battery, then plug in usb cable , then hit the vol down button. You should see yellow triangle. Put battery backin and use Odin to recover.

I can't even get into Download mode. That was one of the first things I actually tried =(

This may work:
1. Removed SD and SIM card
2. Removed battery
3. plugged the phone into USB
4. held down vol-up and vol-down
5. popped the battery back in while holding vol buttons
good luck.

Got into D/L mode and Odin's recognizing it... trying the recovery right now. I'll let you know how it goes (and in advance, thank you mate! =D)

If you can get back into download mode you're 100% safe.

Quick question: Would a full recovery via Odin wipe out CWM thereby making me having to reinstall it?

Only If you're using PIT file method recovery, yes Odin will be wipe. But this is no big deal, just Odin the cwm back.

Eureka! Got it booting into a stock Gingerbread ROM! Now to re-do CWM and try flashing this thing again... thanks for your help buhohitr =D

[Q] wont mount sd card battery wont charge anymore

HTC One S S4 16 GB
what I did:
1. Unlocked Bootloader
2. installed cwm
3. rooted
4. made backup
5. Factory Reset / Wipe before
6. Flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1701314
which resulted into a black screen
7. Tried to use my back up---> no back up available
8. SD Card wont mount
9. Tried to put new rom via usb mount--->not possible
10. Tried to repair recovery via fastboot---> still not reading sd card
Situation now:
Now Battery is getting low and wont load anymore, only a red light is blinking for the first minutes when I try loading, so I cant get into Bootloader anymore.
What I am thinking to do:
Open HTC One S and load the Battery separately, then I hope to get into the Bootloader again.
Then I will try to lock the Bootloader and to use a ruu.
Is there anybody who had similar problems? Any suggestions?

Yeah, leave it charging for a couple of hours, then unplug the charger and try to boot into bootloader again.
Once inside bootloader, plug in the usb cable and fastboot flash the boot.img.

It has been loading for about 12 hours now, still it wont load the bootloader. So I am assuming that it is not able to charge the battery.

Hello. I've got a problem with booting. I tried to install a new FW, but got an error after that I couldn't boot it at all. I've tried to reinstall recovery, using odin and it can see my phone, but the screen is black and when I want to install ANYTHING, it stucks at "Setup connection"..
I've tried to change the ports, extract/insert the battery, reboot my pc, remove my SD and Sim, turn off the Kies, but nothing helped.
What to do? Does anybody know?
Please, help me. I have broke my head

just reflash to stock rom !! stock rom and odin+beni.ops, also tutorial flash rom can find at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583430

But I can't.. When I try to boot with download mode, then odin can see the port(yellow), but the screen is black and odin stucks at "Setup connection"... and no matter what I'm trying to install.. I just don't want to take it to SC, cause it costs a lot, that's why I'm here.
Any ideas?

try to remove battery for a while then plug it in again and then enter the phone into download mode, connect it to usb and run Odin (see results if Odin has recognized your device)

*Remove the battery.
*Connect the phone via USB cable to pc(without battery).
*Press & hold Volume Down+Home+Power buttons(without battery).
*& while keep holding these 3 keys, insert the battery.
Now try updating via Odin.
If still fails then u can't do anything else.

Phone don't start

when the p920 was my phone I got a custom rom on it. last year I gave it to my father. I restored stock to everything. he used it now for 1 year without problems.
Today he found the phone powered off, since then the phone won't start. the power button don't react at all. no sound / vibration / light. if I try any button combination .. nothing works.
however when I connect it with omap4boot, I can go to download mode and fastboot.
when I try to restart from fastboot, phone turns off, won't start again.
when I try to start recovery from fastboot, phone just turns off.
then I tried flashing factory image:
on flashtool (which I used all the time in the past): when I hit start and enter download mode, my computer don't recognise the connection (the port is 41).
on kdz flasher, the tool writes that a newer version was found, then when he wants to start, the tool force closes. I tried on 2 computer, no difference.
on smartflasher he is able to flash it. but the device still won't start.
the battery is ok I guess, when I'm in download mode, I can remove the usb and it stills runs for a long time.

I tried flashtool on a third computer and it started .. but I got a new problem.
the download mode turns off after some time, it takes always the same time to turn off.
around 22% in the flash, the phone just turns off. I tried a different battery, same problem.
could it be that the phone can't read the battery right so it shuts it down on a specific time? and won't turn the phone on, because it thinks the battery is completly dead?

so I read in the unbricking post von xbsall that the turning off on 25% is normal. he wrote that I need to flash the AP.bin file ONLY. but that is not possible. while flashing flashtool is always using the cp.fls file. when I rename the cp.fls file, so he wouldn't use it, he is still looking for the file... how do I flash ap.bin only???

Same thing happened to me. Like it searches and wants to install whats in the memory or history. So I uninstalled everything, then installed flashtool and drivers again. Then only loaded ap.bin file.
