Hey guys,
I'm under Cataclysm and really like Immersive mode but, it annoys me that I have to swipe up when I want to use the nav bar, but the worst thing is, I can't use swipe down gesture to show notifications on Nova because it just doesn't work with Immersive mode.
So, is there anything I can do in order to hide the nav bar only when I want to? Or, per example, make it hidden when I'm at the home screens?
TIA
Im not sure about that specifically but an alternative solution is to hide the navbar completely and use pie controls instead.
Takes some getting used to but I can't go back!

I believe the App Settings xposed module allows you to hide the navigation bar on a per app basis.

Hum, thanks... I guess I could try that and see how I'd get along using it. Could you, please, tell me what's the best way to get PIE?

Hmm, thing is, it would probably be an issue not to have a nav bar on all the launcher's menus.. Anyway, I'll think about that possibility.
Thank you!
I use pie via the xposed framework module called "gravitybox"

Sorry to bother you with this but, is there any other way? Because, I don't think that installing Gravity Box on an already feature packed custom ROM makes much sense and I'm afraid that it may cause incompatibilities.
Also, I installed App Settings module to force Immersive mode on Nova only but, while it does hide the nav bar, it doesn't go full screen so it is not an option, unfortunately.

Try LMT launcher for pie.
Ok, I followed Chromium_ suggestion and I'm trying LMT atm. Thank you, sir. I really like it since I loved PIE on ICS stock browser.
Now, problem is, I don't know how to hide de nav bar. I could use Immersive mode but that disables Nova gestures and it ends up showing the nav bar every time I mess with the status/notification bar. Any other way?

Your on cataclysm so you can set navbar size to zero or set up quick settings hide nav bar button

Yes, perfect! I did not think about the resizing and I didn't know there was a toggle to hide the navbar.
Thank you all so much! I got exactly what I wanted

I've looked through several rom threads (not all) and I haven't found what I'm looking for. The search doesn't help much either.
Is there any other rom besides Cataclysm Rom, that has full IMMERSIVE mode. It's the only Rom I've used since I got the N5, so I figured I'd ask before flashing like a mad man.
I know that IMMERSIVE mode is a stock feature, but only in some apps, not system wide like what Cataclysm does.
If the Rom has the IMMERSIVE and Nav Bar toggles it would be great too. Thanks in advance.

I know Omni ROM has Full Immersive Mode (not sure about Nav Bar Toggles but I think it's there too, maybe just dig a bit in settings). It's accessible if you have the tile activated in quick toggles. CyanogenMod has it since older days, just called expanded desktop. Perhaps the CM based ROMs would have Full Immersive Mode in the form of Expanded Desktop.

@Actionx1- Xposed + GravityBox. You can set a quicksettings toggle to hide the navbar + PIE controls, or full immersive mode among other things. Also, there's a module called App Settings that will allow you to set immersive mode on a per app basis. Xposed has rendered custom ROMs pretty much obsolete, IMO.
I ended up going with SlimKat. It was the only rom out of 4 that I tried that had Expandable Mode and Disable Nav Bar. Thanks a lot for the help.

You could always try a launcher like Nova. I use semi-immersive mode to hide the nav and the launcher settings to hide the status bar when I want it hidden.

I noticed the same thing and I never found a solution. I suspect it has something to do with motos non-stock ROM. More specifically the modified notification bar? They've been real accommodating to us X'rs over there at gravitybox.
I ended up using app settings and setting each individual app to immersive mode. It sucked & took forever to do. But at least I'm full screen now with pie. I lowered the dpi on some things as well. High res full screen goodness!

I can still call down the notification bar with a down swipe anytime I want.
Whenever I install new apps I gotta go in and set them to immersive mode. :\ It's a double edged sword because it gives you full control, but it also is a lot of work setting up each individual app.
I also tried the immerse me mod but it did weird things with Nova Launcher & something else I can't remember so I uninstalled it.

It depends on the app, but most of them are set to either 190 or 200. A few are 210, and others, like Active Display are the stock 320(It goes weird when set to non-stock DPI).
Works for me, worth the purchase
When I upgraded to 4.4.2 and found out I couldn't root again without a bootloader hack, I downloaded this and gave it a shot. It's worked flawlessly for all apps. I just set it to auto start for the apps I want immersive mode on but you can just turn it on and leave it. Doubt it will work with anything Pie related though because it's true immersive mode.

App Settings.
For those interested in customizing your G2's here's a simple guide for installing Themer and combine it with LMT pie launcher to get a new look and feel on the phone. I did it on CloudyPro II so I don't know if will work on other ROMs but it should
The main ingredients you will need are:
Google Keyboard or any other keyboard you like.
Themer
Xposed Framework
G2 TweaksBox
LMT Pie Launcher
NexMusic or your preferred player supported by Themer.
After you have downloaded the listed apps the first one you have to install is the keyboard you chose and enable it as default. This is because you will need to disable the nav bar and after you do the LG keyboard will force close. Then as mentioned you have to disable the nav bar using G2 TweaksBox> Miscellaneous> check the "disable nav bar" box but don't reboot. Before you reboot make sure you installed LMT Pie Launcher and checked the first two boxes (Activate service and Autostart service) on the app's settings.
Then reboot your device and once you do you won't have the nav bar anymore but now you can use the LMT pie launcher to navigate through the phone. It can be launched by swiping from the left, right and bottom of the screen to the center. It can also be completely customized but I'll explain that later.
After you have disabled the nav bar, have enabled a keyboard and LMT pie is working you can install Themer as a normal app from the Play Store, choose a theme and apply it. Themer was recently updated to support LG's default Music app but they don't seem to get along that well yet. That's why I suggested to use NexMusic which has given me the best experience and works great from the lock screen too. You can select it from the Themer app and after you download it, it will be set as default.
So basically after you've installed everything your phone should look something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You can also customize the LMT pie and make it look similar to this:
LMT pie comes with a standard 5 buttons layout that should be enough to help you get through the setup process but if you want to customize it a little more you can go to the last section of LMT's settings, PIE, and there configure it button by button as well as the long press or even add a second line of buttons. The new custom buttons you choose will appear one by one as you select them. For customizing the color you can use a menu on the first section and there you can also raise the top radius, bottom radius and outline as well as many other features.
To add a lock/shutdown function you have to enable a custom key and set it to 26. That's the one that I have on the far left.
I started using it a couple days ago and haven't had any problem so far. The biggest loss you might get from disabling the nav bar is that you loose the option of using multi-window but I'm pretty sure there's a work around for enabling it on LMT; just haven't figured that out yet
Battery life is not affected at all and I can say it improved a bit on this specific theme I'm using because of the dark BG and UI. I wanted to share this because I really liked the way the G2 looks with Themer and also to start a discussion and see what new things I can learn from any of the apps I used.
Credit goes to all the developers of each and every app I mentioned so give your thanks to them and support their projects in any way possible. No need to leave thanks here, ideas and helpful discussions would be more appreciated.
Cheers

That's weird, that shouldn't be happening
Only the buttons you enable on the PIE section should appear and on all three sides (bottom, right and left). If you keep having this problem try wiping the app's data from the app manager and start over configuring the pie.
If you have followed the publicity about the new iPhone, you have probably seen the Reachability feature and thought, "that would be neat on my 5.5inch super-mobile".

Well here is some good news for you: it isn't that hard.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Rooted phone
Xposed framework and the One-Hand Mode module (Premium is best, to get it to work properly)
Tasker or a launcher that allows you to use gestures.
PROCEDURE:
Install xposed, if you haven't already, and the OHM module (follow their instructions)
Activate the module
Restart
Now to activate the functionality:
I have set the OHM module to move the the screen 700 pixels from the top.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then I used Tasker to make a profile where an up-down shake will activate the One-Hand Toggle app.
If you use a launcher which allows for gestures you can also use these to activate the Toggle App.
This is what it looks like when it works:
SHAKE and voila:
(screen shots will be added later. Details will be added if asked for)

I'm not sure I understand the question. Did you mean whether this feature unly works with one Launcher? Or that it only works with the launcher, and not in apps?
To answer accordingly: I have only tried this in one launcher, but i see no reason why it shouldn't work with all launchers. It does work in apps (if not, what would be the point, right?), though not so well in "full screen" apps.

Pie control works better for me I find... Using the Oneplus
Also if you have nova launcher, you can add 'Nova Actions' to your homescreen that are essentially shortcut icons ie. for the status bar or notifications

Use the whitelist app posted in this forum. It's on Google Play.
I have no idea what the Essential app did other than whitelist Nova.
It didn't seem to do anything for me. I turned off whitelisting from the app and Nova reverted to old behavior. Maybe it's just whitelisting and if you already had that setup it doesn't do anything else.

Yeah, interesting indeed. I hope this will be fixed in a future update.
I already had the whitelist editor installed and Nova was selected. Even after the update, when I deselect nova on the whitelist editor, it's no longer full scene. Not sure if the whitelist editor overrides the company's update... either way I rather use the whitelist editor than wait on Essential to update their whitelist. Lol
