I'm wondering how much better this will be than CM7 using a custom ROM, will it be faster, I've read the change log for CM7.1, just don't know if it's worth testing, I'm wanting to hear from people who have downloaded it and using it....

Hey guys, I flashed Miui yesterday and I really dont like it, so I was going to try something else but now I can not get in to recovery. Ive done some research and I need the CWM Community Kernel v8, unfortunately since multiupload is down/gone I cannot download it. Does anybody have a copy they can send me? I have the sgs kernel flasher.
PS, Ive tried flashing different recoveries, google searched the kernel but the links are dead.
Thanks,
e

Hey,
I am new here, before I bought the tab2 7.0 I hade a Motorola Defy. So I know something about roots, OC and etc'... but tablets I didn't got exprienced.
Can I do Overclocking in the stock ROM?
if yes, plz give me an easy guide to do that.
if not, I want to learn how to do it for all the way...
Thanks for help.
Questions should be posted in Q&A forums. Do not post questions in Development forums.
Thread moved.
You need to root it, install CWM and flash a kernel that is for stock and has OC. dsb9938 has a good one that I ran at 1.2Ghz.

thanks.
I would be happy if you will give me links for guides for root and etc...
of course that the root wil be for the stock ROM.
The performance on stock is terrible, installing CM9 worked wonders for my Tab, no need to overclock.

Cyanogenmod is even better overclocked! You simply need to flash CM and Metalikernall and over clock to your hearts content
