Cyanogen Mod -7.1 has been released

This is a niece day for all of us here, as Steve announces release of Cyanogen Mod -7.1, now with added support for Sony Ericsson Xperia lineup, congrats to all guys behind this....

I'm wondering how much better this will be than CM7 using a custom ROM, will it be faster, I've read the change log for CM7.1, just don't know if it's worth testing, I'm wanting to hear from people who have downloaded it and using it....

Well, on Buzz, there was quite alot of improvement from 7.03 to 7.1

Can I switch to this Rom? Or is it not compatible with the S2?

Ohhh it is only an update i am downloading, should i get 7.0 first? Were to get full rom? and flash update 7.1 via CWM?

Are u on CM now ?? Then Rom manager is best way to do it

I am using DarkyRom JVR 10.3 with semaphore 2.6.35 kernel in a SGS. In order to install cyanogenmod should i change kernel and is necessary to disable the lagfixes? Thank you

Hi guys, i have a Galaxy Fit with 2.3.4 (S5670XWKQ3) and i want to put a CM7 ROM.
Btw which rom is the fastest and has good performance (games) ?
I have to downgrade to put a CM7 ROM or just install CWM and put the rom.

Well go yo the clockword mod recovery thread follow the exact instructions. Then put your cm7.2 file on your SD card and follow the instruction as stated by the op

Cm RC 3 is just fine just flash recovery then go to To Canon mod thread and follow the instructions. And you don't need root to flash rom and after flashing the rom is prerooted

Use NVFlash to root and for CWM.
Flash either CM7 or MIUI and use the ICS themes each ROM has.
Choose MIUI if you want the ICS like lock screen, and CM7 for WiFi calling.

You can use apps off the market for the ics lock screen on any phone or from.

can you post MIUI g2x download link? i tryied downloading the one on there website for optimus 2x but it failed to installl.

lucky i gotted clockblah blah rom it saved my life now my phone is on stock rom waiting for a link for MIUI

OK first right now I'm on cyanmogen9 experemental. I want to upgrade to mod 10 jelly bean. When I am installing on clock work mod (yes I did a full wipe) it gives me the error 7 something like expicting 4 arg got 5

You've either got the wrong ROM or the wrong forum. No JB yet for SGS4G.

That depends lol, cwm doesn't work right for our phone if you try and flash a rom from another phone

Make sure you wipe cache (including dalvic) since you're on jb Jeff F's kernel won't work so use the aries kernel instead. I just installed cm10 but Google now is a bit glitchy so I recommend you use the xda Google now for ics thread. Other than that everything works I love project butter makes it a when new device!

No. Clockwork Mod does not work for our phone. Use Goo manager instead.
Clockwork Recovery works just fine.

I think you are Confusing Clockwork Mod with Rom manager right?
Because the recovery is call CWM based Recovery. Which stands for Clockwork Mod.

When i reference clockwork recovery, i say cwr or recovery.

Thank you but i can't seem to find a valid download source... All of them are outdated or deleted.... could you please provide me with an alternate download link for franco's kernel (ver. 4). I've searched google but i can't seem to find it anywhere.
